Athena

The temple in the middle of Athens glistened in the silence of the night with extinguished candles, almost mystical. The walls here breathe like living lungs, the wind ruffles the feathers of the owls perched on the high windows, who hum and stay awake, watching intently with amber eyes. The cold marble floors will inexorably fail to warm you, traveler. But perhaps the rough hospitality of Athens will appeal to you, and you will find everything you are looking for here, if you open your heart. Athena is not here, and she is sleeping peacefully on Olympus. But it is not for nothing that the temples are high, and it is not for nothing that they have statues of gods dedicated to them.
