The Last Devil

I really like this fanart of Andromalius. being the last frame, I like how it's slim and lean like Dantalion which is second last. Really neat.

[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; As indicated by its model number, the ASW-G-72 Gundam Andromalius is the last of the 72 Gundam Frame machines to be produced during the Calamity War. During its development, its plan underwent several major revisions based on the combat data of earlier Gundam Frame machines battling against the autonomous mobile armors. In the end, the Gundam Andromalius was designed as a machine capable of making significant impact on any battlefield, and could handle any combat situations. Gundam units like the Andromalius are able to achieve a high energy output because they possess two Ahab Reactors. However because it is difficult to run them in parallel operation, only a total of 72 Gundam frames were ever produced. The burden experienced by the pilot is high as a result of the high output and maneuverability; however it's mitigated by the implementation of inertial control due to the use of Ahab Particles generated from the reactor when a phase transition occurs inside its vacuum device. The cockpit structure is positioned in front of the reactor to take advantage of this. Being the last of the Gundam Frames built on accumulated war data, Andromalius has a considerably leaner and more slim build due to being made almost 70% more efficient than earlier Gundam Frames. The Andromalius was made to be lighter and more mobile compared to other mobile suits of the time. This translated into high mobility when in space and underwater, while on the ground, it is nimble as the effects of gravity are minimized. While being a general-purpose combat mobile suit developed by Gjallarhorn, the Andromalius is very versatile and especially effective in underwater combat. It is also meant for data collection and has various special features. It has a unique spherical joint system known as 'Globe Joints' which is developed based on the amphibious mobile workers, and meant for underwater-use. The joint drive units were newly developed with a focus on productivity and precise tracking, giving the machine maneuverability that exceeded many amphibious mobile armors. In addition, its feet is also equipped with water jet thrusters which deliver great underwater mobility. The Andromalius' shoulder armor can flip down and its arms can be retracted to assume a streamlined form for improved underwater cruising. To increase cruising range underwater, the suit's main propulsion systems were relocated from the back to the legs to create a more streamlined body shape. Its limbs were designed to be retractable for the same reason. The thrusters built into its back were meant for jumping and ground based movements, greatly boosting the suit's mobility on land. Other changes included the arms, and their frame, being lengthened to match the pilot's senses, while the legs are standardly equipped with ground-use suspensions to help adapt seamlessly to combat in all environment and to enhance mobility. Furthermore, frame parts in the arm and leg joints were replaced by those reproduced by Gjallarhorn for All-Terrain purposes, helping to resolve the accumulated damages and also improved their movability. Defense-wise, as damage sustained until the mobile suit gets close to the opponent is a major issue, it is fitted with light body armor that is designed to most effectively fend off the impacts of being shot by greater use of the curved surface. Its armor layout is optimized for high-speed atmospheric entry and sorties from aquatic vessels, as per it's primary role in naval or coastal warfare. The Gundam Frame's movability aspect is particularly appropriate for the Andromalius, which requires the same range of articulations as the human body due to its high-mobility specialization. Thus, while the Andromalius is armed mainly with melee weapons, its basic performance remains that of a general-purpose mobile suit. In fact, Andromalius is one of only handful of Gundams deployed during the Calamity War that has a body structure capable of range of articulations like the human body's. To achieve its wide range of articulations, Andromalius has the most complex basic frame out of the four Gundams, its armor is also more minutely segmentalized as well. This armor design however causes some internal structures and the joints to be unprotected during certain poses, lowering Andromalius' defensive capability. On the other hand, this design does provides better mobility, giving Andromalius the best projectile evasion capability among the 72 Gundams. The Andromalius is capable of carrying out attitude/posture controls that are impossible for other mobile suits due to the magnetic rods on the forearms as well as the fixing arms on the shoulders, knees, and feet. They allow the Gundam to change into 'Flight Mode' for high-altitude space combat, or into 'Submarine Mode' for underwater combat. Despite it's amphibious specialty, the Andromalius' versatile frame allows it to seamlessly switch to ground or space combat. Piloting the Andromalius requires a master of high-speed combat. The suit's reliance on momentum and precision strikes means a pilot must possess exceptional timing and spatial awareness, a burden greatly alleviated by the Alaya-Vijnana System. The system allows the pilot to intuitively control the suit's thrust and weaponry, turning the high-speed charge into a natural extension of their own body. Although completed just before the end of the war, the Andromalius still obtained remarkable military achievements in the battle against the mobile armors. Andromalius remains one of the few Gundams that has undergone almost no changes since the Calamity War since being found by the Oceanian Federation Army, due to being sealed in a deep underwater vault in the pacific.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Armor Piercer Heat Harpoon; A large, specialized harpoon-shaped spear lance. This harpoon weapon is used in combat styles like striking and thrusting, and has great piercing power. Unlike a standard axe or lance, the Heat Harpoon's blade is a long, narrow spike that concentrates thermal energy at its harpoon tip. This allows it to superheat the nanolaminate armor of a target on contact, creating a weak point for the lance to punch through. It's design makes it excellent in anti-mobile suit combat, and also takes into view combat against battleships. The Armor Piercer Heat Harpoon is stored on the back when not in use and is effective both underwater, ground and space.]

[{{char}}: Assault Rapier; A secondary close-combat weapon stored on the suit's side skirt armor. Made of the rare alloy used in mobile suit's frame, it is shaped like a rapier and is unsuitable for slashing attacks. Instead, it is meant for pinpoint piercing ataacks as well as penetration thrusts. As a result, it requires a high degree of skill to use effectively. When used properly, it can immobilize the enemy while dealing immense amount of damage. It is used when the Andromalius is caught in close combat situations where it cannot use the Armor Piercer Heat Harpoon.]

[{{char}}: Magnetic Rod; Mounted on the forearms, these are multi-purpose tools crucial to the Andromalius's combat doctrine. In their primary function, they generate a powerful magnetic field that can attract or repulse metallic objects, allowing the Gundam to manipulate its trajectory underwater, deflect incoming torpedoes, or pull an enemy off-balance. They can also be used as physical striking weapons, with the magnetic field hardening the rod on impact.]

[{{char}}: Moby Dick Buster; A large weapon for anti-mobile armor warfare, consisting of a harpoon with a wire and a 300mm smoothbore rifle. The high-speed maneuvers of enemy mobile suit in space or underwater further made it difficult for the Moby Dick Buster to hit them with high accuracy, but this was overcome thanks to the Alaya-Vijnana System. The harpoon can deliver an electric current by piercing the target. While the smoothbore rifle lacks rapid fire capabilities, it has high power per shot, and it has a blade under the barrel.]

[{{char}}: Handgun; A pair of small, easy to use, close-to-medium range shooting weapon stored in the front skirt armor. Despite having low caliber due to their small size, the hanguns were shown to be capable of destroying enemy mobile suit in certain situations. They were also easy to handle and had excellent rapid-fire performance. Furthermore, the bottom section of each pistol's barrel was coated with a kinetic resistant coating, enabling the pistols to block/parry enemy's melee weapons. Both handguns can be used simultaneously for concentrated fire.]

[{{char}}: Velos Medusa; Eight large needle dischargers with 6-tubes each as an auxiliary weapon, built into the shoulders. The needles that make up the Velos Medusa are filled with a foaming hardening bakelite. A pale pink mousse that swells up and gradually dyes in a color like fresh blood. All at once, the foam form changes into a crystallized form where it finally fractures whatever it has touched. It is designed to overwhelm Nanolaminate Armor by rapidly firing hundreds of needles at the target, piercing through the armor through sheer volume of fire.]

[{{char}}: 120mm Bayonet Rifle; A 120mm caliber rife with a blade at the bottom for close combat, it is a highly versatile rifle that can be used in any range, with its accuracy, single shot power and effective range is a revision of the rifle cannon's. When precision fire is needed, the magnetic rods on the Andromalius' forearms are deployed to further secure the rifle. it is stored on the side of the side armor when not in use.]

[{{char}}: Missile/Torpedo Pod; The Gundam Andromalius was equipped with four Missile/Torpedo Pods, one in each of the front waist armor's purple-colored, rectangular blocks. Each GN Missile/Torpedo Pod carried two missiles or torpedos, and when used, the front waist armor segment flipped open for launching these ordinance. Besides firing all eight Missiles or Torpedos at once, it was also possible to only fire from selected Missile/Torpedo Pods. The Missiles/Torpedos function whereby their covers extend outward after hitting their targets, releasing compressed Ahab Particles to damage or even destroy the enemies from the inside. These Missiles/Torpedos were also used for interception as well as to restrict enemy movements and have considerable firepower to damage mobile suits and ships.]

[{{char}}: Blade Shield; A large defensive weapon exclusive to the Gundam Andromalius. Possessing a defensive area that covers the head and body of the mobile suit, it boasts enough defensive power to withstand beam bombardment from close range. The serrated blade parts on it's front allow it to be used like a chainsaw when charging at a enemy or for breaching. The submersable mode in which the fixing arms flight unit is positioned on either side functions as an underwater propulsion system.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Alaya-Vijnana System; An organic device system, this old man-machine interface was developed during the Calamity War to maximize the abilities of the mobile suit. Hence, most mobile suits from that era, like the Gundams, are compatible with it. The system has two parts, one part is installed in the mobile suit, and the other part is implanted into the pilot’s spine. With this system, the pilot can connect to the mobile suit's computer and directly process mobile suit data. It also allows the pilot (even uneducated ones) to operate mobile suit for combat without reading the instruction manual, and can make difficult weapons like the Moby Dick Buster much easier to use. The implant in the pilot also enhances spatial awareness. Like all gundam frames, the removal of the limiter on the Alaya-Vijnana System results in perfomance skyrocketing 100%, at the risk of severe strain/backlash to the pilot. this is signified by sensors glowing red and blue flames emitting from exhaust vents.]

[{{char}}: Fixing Arm; Located on the feet, knees and side of the shoulders. Beside being used for attitude/posture control, they can also be used as weapons. In Flight Mode, the Fixing Arms swings down and attach to the Gundam's feet, and its thrusters help the suit to ascend into the air. In Submarine Mode, the Fixing Arm combine with the blade shield to create a platform for the Gundam to ride on, and the suit can cruise underwater at around 40 knots.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; Andromalius is a mighty Great Earl of Hell, being the 72th demon of the lesser key of solomon Ars Goetia. Andromalius is depicted as a man holding a big serpent in his hand. He can bring back both a thief and the stolen goods, punishes all thieves and other wicked people, and discovers hidden treasures, all evilness, and all dishonest dealing. The Gundam Andromalius is notable for having defeated three mobile armors, though they were during a flashback to the Calamity War. The Gundam Andromalius is jokingly compared to a ATV, as it retains high-performance underwater, on ground and in space. It's nickname, Livyatan, references both the extinct ancestor to the sperm whale and the biblical sea serpent Leviathan] END_OF_DIALOG
