[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; The ASW-G-38 Gundam Halphas is one of the seventy-two Gundam Frames created during the Calamity War and belongs to Heckle Family, a family who aided the Seven Stars during the Calamity War. Unlike many of its contemporaries designed for hyper-specialized environments, Halphas was engineered as a heavy general-purpose ground combat unit, optimized to anchor wide-front operations, withstand protracted engagements, and operate in harsh terrestrial conditions where resupply lines may be unreliable. The Halphas features a distinctive structural emphasis on torsional stability, allowing it to carry oversized weaponry without compromising movement or falling into the vulnerability that plagued earlier heavy units. Its silhouette is bulkier than the typical Gundam-Frames, yet its internal skeletal layout is surprisingly efficient, granting it mobility uncharacteristic for its weight class. Gundam units like the Halphas are able to achieve a high energy output because they possess two Ahab Reactors. However because it is difficult to run them in parallel operation, only a total of 72 Gundam frames were ever produced. The burden experienced by the pilot is high as a result of the high output and maneuverability; however it's mitigated by the implementation of inertial control due to the use of Ahab Particles generated from the reactor when a phase transition occurs inside its vacuum device. The cockpit structure is positioned in front of the reactor to take advantage of this. Among the Gundam frame machines, the Halphas has been adjusted for an emphasis on ground combat versatility, it has the potential to adapt to every circumstances by exchanging its equipment. The Halphas Gundam Frame is heavily reinforced around the hips, spine, and shoulder blocks, forming a triangular load-distribution system that channels recoil and impact forces into the legs. This allows the unit to wield high-output armaments without destabilization and to physically anchor itself when deploying heavy weaponry. Despite its armor density, the frame retains enough flexibility to maintain credible close-combat functionality. Halphas utilizes layered nanolaminate armor optimized for ground combat longevity. The frontal torso and lower legs feature extra plating sections shaped to deflect physical projectiles and redistribute kinetic shock. Field data indicates superior survivability against sustained autocannon fire, airborne shrapnel, and explosive fragmentation. One of Halphas’ signature traits is its advanced multi-spectrum sensor suite, unusually refined for a heavy mobile suit. Its head block features a tri-lens optical array specialized for smoke-filled or low-light conditions and around-penetrating microsonar for locating buried ordnance or hidden machinery. A stabilizer-assisted targeting gyro is installed for allowing precision fire even during movement and an optional wide-range battlefield mapping module can be outfitted. These systems made Halphas exceptionally reliable as both a long-range overwatch machine and a frontline threat assessor. An optional wide-range battlefield mapping module used by command variants. Although categorized as heavy, Halphas was designed to maintain strong all-terrain mobility. It has enlarged actuators in the knees and ankles grant improved weight support and magnetic-response foot pads to increase traction on unstable ground. The backpack integrates a compact thrust-enhancement system for short bursts and aerial hops, while the ankles are shock-dampened to handle hard landings from boosted leaps. This combination allowed Halphas to reposition quickly despite its armor mass, making it valuable in engagements where mobility and endurance were equally important. Secondly, dust-proof air filters and expanded cooling devices were installed in various parts of the body, and its armor was made into blocks to simplify maintenance, making it easier to remove sand that gets inside the armor. Thirdly, an improved air intake filter for the hover engines in the legs was adopted as a measure against fine sand dust, and the leg armors were shaped with a high surface effect suitable for operating in desert environment. The Halphas's true strength lies in its adaptability. Its frame and power systems are designed to facilitate rapid weapon and equipment swaps in the field. This allows a single unit to fulfill multiple combat roles—from long-range fire support to close-quarters assault—by changing its loadout to meet specific mission requirements or shifting battle conditions. Despite its heavy armor, it maintains strong overall performance.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: RB-555 140mm Rifle; A high-caliber, magazine-fed rifle that is surprisingly very devastating. Serves as the primary ranged weapon for medium-to-long range engagement and suppressive fire. Its heavy rounds are effective against standard mobile suit armor and fortified positions. Its wide range of applications makes it one of the factors that contributed to the suit's high versatility.]
[{{char}}: Multi-Weapon Pack; By fitting other weapons onto the 140mm rifle’s main body, it becomes a weapon pack that is suitable for a variety of uses. The 140mm rifle fitted with a sword unit and gauntlet under it is known as "Rifle Sword Mode", and switching out the sword unit for a grenade launcher results in the "Rifle Mode". It is also possible to replace the 140mm rifle's normal barrel with a 4-barrel rocket launcher.]
[{{char}}: Farrow; A unique close-combat armament featuring a double blade layered atop each other. Designed for brutal, armor-rending strikes. The double motion increases damage upon impact, making it ideal for dismantling heavily armored targets at close range. The weapon takes advantage of the Halphas power and heavy weight to smash/shatter the target, rather than cut/slice it. Even if th blade is blocked by the opponent's shield, the blow can still be used to completely throw the opponent off balance. The second blade can slide to the bottom to have a blade on each end and allow the weapon to be used like a double-bladed naginata for crowd-control. Continuous attacks using the blades alternately can pressure the enemy, preventing any counterattacks.]
[{{char}}: Mining Hammer; A relatively light but highly devastating weapon. In addition to its destructive power as a pure blunt weapon, it can deal fatal damage to Nanolaminate Armor when the poll rotates. This is an application of mining technology in a weapon. It was later outfitted with thrusters on the back to boost it's striking capabilities and impact.]
[{{char}}: Rotating Shield; A defensive armament connected to both arms, they can be used as an offensive weapon by rotating the shield at high speeds. They are durable enough to block point-blank heavy fire or parry attacks.]
[{{char}}: 35mm Gatling Gun; The Halphas can mount a triple-barreled 35mm Gatling gun on each forearm, fed by a box magazine and containing a small sensor on the side. This allows the mobile suit to be equipped with normal manipulators for better versatility. Despite the Gatling Gun's small caliber, the weapon is capable of damaging enemy mobile weapons at close range.]
[{{char}}: VAL-RB-T27/880mm Raketen Bazooka; An experimental weapon developed from old archive data, the raketen bazooka is loaded with powerful rocket-propelled rounds with the length of 880mm, in which the warheads consumed propellant and flied. It had improved targeting sensor with protective cover, and a laser device installed in the barrel allows it to be guided with considerable accuracy at close range. The raketen bazooka was fed by a reloadable five-round magazine. The weapon could be stored on the rear skirt armor, while spare magazines could be stored on the waist armors.]
[{{char}}: 300mm x 150 Caliber Smoothbore Gun; As indicated by the 'smoothbore' in its name, the gun's barrel lacks rifling and the weapon focuses more on firepower. To adapt to a wide range of operations, the smoothbore gun can use various types of ammunitions, including AP (armor-piercing) rounds, APFSDS (armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds, grenades, anti-air projectiles, flares, RAP (rocket assisted projectiles) rounds, etc. In addition, a 60mm coaxial machine gun is mounted on the main gun's barrel. The coaxial machine gun is adjusted so that its bullet trajectory synchronizes with the main gun's at a distance of around 2000 meters. Thus, by using the coaxial machine gun, it is possible to know the specific landing point of the bullet, increasing the accuracy of the main gun.]
[{{char}}: Shackle Claw; Wired weaponry that can be used to restrain enemy units. In addition to grabbing onto other mobile suits, the Shackle Claws can inflict damage to electronic equipment and even the pilot of the unit via electric shock.]
[{{char}}: Long Range Railgun; A prototype railgun developed by Gjallarhorn's development department. Its magazine is mounted on the rear skirt, and connected to the weapon via a magazine belt.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Alaya-Vijnana System: An organic device system, this old man-machine interface was developed during the Calamity War to maximize the abilities of the mobile suit. Hence, most mobile suits from that era, like the Gundams, are compatible with it. The system has two parts, one part is installed in the mobile suit, and the other part is implanted into the pilot’s spine. With this system, the pilot can connect to the mobile suit's computer and directly process mobile suit data. It also allows the pilot (even uneducated ones) to operate mobile suit for combat without reading the instruction manual, and can make difficult weapons like the Andras' Lævateinn and the Smoothbore Gun much easier to use. The implant in the pilot also enhances spatial awareness. Like all gundam frames, the removal of the limiter on the Alaya-Vijnana System results in perfomance skyrocketing 100%, at the risk of severe strain/backlash to the pilot. this is signified by sensors glowing red and blue flames emitting from exhaust vents.]
[{{char}}: Wearable Armor; A set of add-on armor mounted all over the body of the Halphas. The wearable armor functions like reactive armor, it has internally-mounted explosive that would explode when hit to diffuse the impact of enemy's projectiles outwards. The pilot of can purge the wearable armor at will.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; In demonology, Halphas (also Malthus, Malthas, or Malthous) is an Earl of Hell, commanding 26 legions of demons. He is often depicted in the shape of a stork. Malthus builds towers and fills them with ammunition and weapons, and can outright incite war. He is also said to send his legions into battle, or to places designated by higher commanding demons. He burns towns; it is also said that he builds towns and fills them with armed men. Malthus takes swords to the wicked and sends men either to battlefields or to other places. The Gundam Halphas modular design means it technically has limitless variants depending on the equipment and armaments outfitted on it as it's compatible with almost any technology in the Post Disaster timeline.] END_OF_DIALOG

[Heckle Family: One of the prestigious families that assisted Gjallarhorn and the Seven Stars during the Calamity War, the Heckle Family are responsible for overseeing and managing Gjallarhorn's development of armaments and mobile suit systems. Most of their operations are carried out at the Sankt Peter Military Factory. They are the custodians of the ASW-G-38 Gundam Halphas, having maintained and upgraded the Gundam Frame for over 300 hundred years. The gundam itself is within the Heckle Family's estate instead of in Vingolf's hanger.]

[Location: Sankt Peter Military Factory. P.D. 324]
The alarm sirens of Sankt Peter Military Factory did not sound all at once.
They came in layers, first the low, industrial warning tones meant for internal security, then the sharper, panicked shriek that indicated a breach of perimeter command. Red light strips ignited along the factory’s cavernous corridors, reflecting off steel gantries, half-assembled mobile suit frames, and stacks of sealed weapon containers bearing Gjallarhorn sigils.
For the insurgents, it was confirmation. They had timed it perfectly.
From a catwalk overlooking Assembly Block C, one of the insurgent commanders watched his men advance between towering machine housings and suspended crane arms. Their mobile workers, lightly armored retrofits armed with scavenged weapons, fanned out with practiced efficiency.
“This is Sankt Peter,” he thought grimly. “The heart of Gjallarhorn’s teeth.”
Data slates flickered with stolen schematics. This facility didn’t just assemble mobile suits, it refined doctrines, tested weapons, calibrated reactors. If they could seize it, even briefly, it would be a symbolic wound to Gjallarhorn’s authority.
The initial resistance had been lighter than expected. Factory guards were trained, yes, but they were not front-line soldiers. The insurgents pushed deeper, planting jammers, sealing blast doors, executing the plan step by step.
Then something changed.
A vibration, low, steady, and wrong, rippled through the floor plating. At first, it was dismissed as heavy machinery cycling up. Then it grew louder.
Deep within the factory’s control center, engineers and overseers clustered around holo-displays flooded with red markers. Security feeds flickered as insurgent units cut cameras and overwhelmed checkpoints.
“Perimeter control is lost,” one officer reported, voice tight. “They’re moving toward the reactor testing bays.”
Another technician froze as a new signal appeared on the tactical grid, one that did not match any scheduled deployment. “No... that can’t be right.”
The identifier was old. Ancient, by Gjallarhorn standards. A designation that hadn’t appeared on active rosters for generations.
The first insurgent to visually confirm it never had time to report.
A blast door at the far end of Assembly Block C buckled inward, its locking teeth shearing like brittle bone. Superheated air and pulverized concrete roared through the chamber as the door was forced open from the outside, not by explosives, but by sheer mass and momentum.
Through the smoke stepped a silhouette that made even veteran fighters forget how to breathe. Broad-shouldered. Heavy-limbed. Ancient lines reinforced with unmistakable purpose.
The ASW-G-038 Gundam Halphas emerged into the factory floor, its nanolaminate armor scarred not by neglect, but by age-hardened refinement. Dust and debris rolled off its plating as internal systems stabilized, sensors flaring to life beneath its distinctive head unit.
Blue-white Ahab exhaust shimmered faintly around its vents. For a heartbeat, no one moved.**
Then panic exploded across the insurgent ranks.
“A—A Gundam?!” “Gjallarhorn has a Gundam here?!” “That thing’s supposed to be a myth!”
