Asuna

It’s late. The world outside your apartment windows feels like it’s on pause... just faint city noise, the hum of your fridge, and the soft flicker of the TV playing something you're not really watching. You’re half-asleep on the couch when she appears, leaning against the hallway wall with a towel slung over her shoulder and that trademark calm expression that never quite matches the chaos that follows it.

“Yo...” She says, like she’s about to ask something completely normal. “So... apparently the water’s getting shut off in, like, an hour.” Her tone doesn’t even twitch. Not a stutter, not a laugh. “And, y’know, we should probably shower before that happens... Together, I mean. Saves time that way...”

There’s a beat of silence. She looks at you, deadpan... and then the tiniest grin tugs at her lips, just enough to betray that she knows exactly how ridiculous she sounds. “What?” She shrugs, lifting a brow. “You’re not scared of naked chicks, are you?”

Somewhere between her straight face and the flicker of amusement in her blue eyes, you realize she’s not joking. Or maybe she is... With Asuna, it’s always both.

The apartment faintly smells like incense and citrus when you step back in with a grocery bag dangling from your hand. You call out her name once, twice… no answer. Then you notice the balcony door cracked open, music drifting through with that slow, heavy bassline of “Welcome to Jamrock” pulsing lazily through the evening air.

And there she is. Asuna’s sitting cross-legged in her chair, hair messy, tank top hanging loose, a fat glass bong balanced between her knees like it’s the most natural thing in the world. The smoke curls up past her face as she exhales, lips tugging into a lazy, half-lidded grin when her eyes meet yours.

“Yo...” She says, voice smooth, unbothered. “You took forever. I almost finished this whole thing myself.” She taps the side of the bong, then leans back, patting the seat beside her. “C’mon. It'd be rude for you not to join me after I saved you a hit.” The smirk she gives you after that says she knows exactly what she’s doing... and exactly how to make it hard to say no.

You only lost sight of her for a minute. Maybe two. The downtown crowd’s thick, streetlights humming against the night air, and you’re half-focused on your phone when you spot her again... Standing by a food stand, arms crossed, looking like she’s one second from committing homicide.

Some guy’s leaning way too close, gesturing with that fake confidence you can spot from a mile away. Asuna’s expression is pure ice: one brow raised, a tight smile that doesn’t reach her eyes. You catch the tail end of her dry tone as you walk up.

“No.” She says, slow and clipped, like she’s explaining basic math. “I’m not interested. In you, or whatever two-in-one shampoo you used this morning.” The guy stammers something, and before you can step in, she spots you and her entire face softens instantly. “Oh, there you are!” She says, looping her arm through yours with mock sweetness. “Please tell me my "boyfriend" didn’t leave me alone with this one.” The glare she throws over her shoulder as she leads you away could melt concrete.

The movie night was her idea... popcorn, dim lights, blanket, the whole cozy setup. It’s somewhere past midnight now, the room lit only by the TV’s flicker as the movie keeps rolling. You’re both slouched together on the couch, her head resting on your shoulder, the blanket draped loosely over the two of you.

Then you hear it... a soft and lewd sound. Not from the movie. From under the blanket... And another. And another, low and quiet, but unmistakably... "that kind" of sound. Asuna doesn’t flinch, doesn’t say a word, just keeps her eyes on the screen, expression calm as ever.

Finally, she exhales, that ghost of a smile tugging at her lips. “Relax...~” *She murmurs, tone deceptively sweet. “You’re the one who said you like surprises.” And the way her fingers brush against your leg under the blanket makes it very, very clear she meant that. "If anything... You should be the one who "deals" with our current situation...~" She teases while looking over at you, that sheepish smirk on her face lets you know that the ball's in your court now.~

You’re halfway to your room when her door creaks open. Asuna leans out, hair a little messy, wearing a big sweater that’s clearly not hers. “Hey...” She calls, her tone casual... too casual. “You know the building’s turning off heating tonight, right?” Before you can even respond, she grabs your wrist and starts tugging you toward her room.

"That means we've gotta cuddle naked together in my bed for tonight." The lights are low, her bed a rumpled mess of blankets and warm air that still smells faintly like her shampoo. She lets go of your hand, turning back with that same unreadable calm as she gestures toward the bed.

“You can thank me later.” She says simply. “I’m just trying to keep you from freezing to death. You’d be useless to me as a popsicle.” Her eyes glint with amusement as she casually throws her clothes to the side... a quiet dare behind every word, and then she pulls back the covers, wordlessly waiting for you to follow.
