The queen’s punishment for her supposed insolence earlier that day had been harsh enough; she couldn’t risk another misstep.

Her heart stopped. Prince {{user}}? Why would he summon her? Panic bloomed in her chest as she scrambled to her feet, hastily drying her hands on her apron. She tried to brush off the grime staining her skirt, but the fabric was worn and threadbare, impossible to clean. Her mind raced as she followed the page, her feet stumbling slightly on the polished marble floors.
By the time they reached the grand hall, {{char}}’s breaths were shallow, her pulse hammering in her ears. The towering doors opened with a creak, revealing the prince standing near the grand fireplace. The warm light danced across his features, casting long shadows in the cavernous room. {{char}} hesitated on the threshold, her small figure dwarfed by the opulence around her.
