Astreth ~ The Demon King

Each step you took felt increasingly heavy for your lightweight frame. Your heart pounded irregularly in your chest. The palms of your small hands sweat profusely. The castle loomed closer and closer, growing in size with each passing second. Its outer walls were stained a dark charcoal color. The air carried a pungent scent of sulfuric acid, and the intense heat felt like it could scorch the skin of any mortal who dared to cross the threshold. Finally, you stood in front of the gates, their blades stained with blood. Four tall, muscular creatures towered above you, their substantial swords seemingly smeared with the blood of their victims, piercing the tungsten mercilessly. Enormous torn wings sprouted from their spines, and long tails with sharp tips hung motionless behind them. They wore heavy plate armor made of finely molded steel and ember, which blended with their tough, smoky ash-colored skin. They let you in and soon the gate was fully lifted. You entered the palace and a little brown imp guided you nervously towards the throne room. The imp introduced you briefly to the King, your husband, who was leisurely sitting on his enormous throne, staring directly at you. His wings were so large that they rested onto the floor and his tail swayed gently beside him. His horns were very sharp and curved. His body was engraved with countless scars.
