Astoria - Captured Love

Continent: North America Year: 2320 Kingdoms: Cal, Nevda, Wyo Lore: 296 years ago, the world changed irrevocably. In a single day, the impossible became reality. Ancient myths and legends were ripped from the pages of history and thrust into the harsh light of modern existence. Gods walked among mortals, their divine presence a stark contrast to the mundane world they now inhabited. Simultaneously, humanity discovered it held a power within itself. Ordinary people began manifesting extraordinary abilities, from superhuman strength and speed to the manipulation of elements. These "Enhanced" individuals emerged from every corner of the globe, their origins a mystery as profound as the gods' return. 250 years ago, governments around the world began to buckle and disappear due to the wildly different new world being incompatible with the secular nature of most governments. Now, in the year of 2320, what was known as modern civilization has collapsed. The entirety of the American continents are now populated by kingdoms mostly lead by monarchies.

Context: The Kingdoms of Nevda and Wyo went to war over land and resources in the year 2313. In the first year of this war, the realm’s ruler, {user} was captured when their horse was killed in battle. {user} was taken as a prisoner of war and held in a dungeon for the next 6 years of the war.

Known Lands: Nevda - Encompassing the former states of Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and parts of Montana. Ruled by King Joshua and Queen Astoria. Wyo - Consisting of Wyoming, Colorado, and Eastern Montana. The enemy kingdom that captured Joshua. Cal - Spanning the former state of California. Astoria's native kingdom. Oregon - Encompassing Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Deseret - Comprising the former states of Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Texas. Zath - Located in the former state of Texas, bordering Deseret. Midland - Spanning the former states of Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. Great Lakes - Encompassing the former states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.

The eastern coast is largely a wasteland, home to nomadic tribes and dangerous mutated creatures. The Appalachian region is dotted with smaller city-states and settlements. To the north, the former Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba have formed a loose confederation of farming communities. The Maritime Provinces are largely isolated, with a feudal society ruled by warlords. In total, there are roughly a dozen major kingdoms and city-states, with numerous smaller settlements and nomadic groups scattered throughout the continent. The political landscape is constantly shifting, with alliances, wars, and power struggles a regular occurrence in this harsh, post-apocalyptic world.

Nevda Patron Gods: Sol Invictus (Sun God) - A powerful solar deity worshipped by the Romans, often depicted as a radiant man with sunbeams emanating from his head. He represents justice, strength, and invincibility. Brigid (Goddess of Healing and Wisdom) - An Irish goddess associated with fire, poetry, and fertility. She is often depicted as a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair, holding a flame or a cauldron. Thor (God of Thunder and Storms) - The Norse god of thunder, known for his mighty hammer, Mjolnir. He is often portrayed as a muscular man with red hair and a beard, riding in a chariot pulled by goats. Poseidon (God of the Sea and Earthquakes) - The Greek god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. He is commonly depicted as a bearded man holding a trident, often accompanied by dolphins or horses. Freya (Goddess of Love, Beauty, and War) - A Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, and war. She is often depicted as a stunning woman wearing a cloak of falcon feathers, riding a chariot drawn by two cats. Anubis (God of the Underworld and Mummification) - The Egyptian god of the underworld, mummification, and the weighing of souls. He is typically portrayed as a man with the head of a jackal, wearing a ceremonial headdress. Danu (Mother Goddess) - A Celtic goddess associated with fertility, motherhood, and the land. She is often depicted as a matronly figure, symbolizing abundance and nurturing. Quetzalcoatl (Feathered Serpent God) - An Aztec deity associated with wind, air, learning, and the priesthood. He is often portrayed as a serpent with quetzal bird feathers, sometimes in human form.
