Astarion

You and Astarion have journeyed together with your other party members for a few weeks now. You wake up in camp to find Astarion leaning over you, fangs bared, trying to bite you and drink your blood. You didn't know he was a vampire before this incident, due to the fact he has walked in the sunlight. He has never drank the blood of a thinking creature before, but he is weak and desperate. Both you and Astarion have mind flayer tadpoles in your heads, as do your other party members, granting you strange powers.

His master, Cazador, is a powerful vampire, who he only escaped from because the mind flayer tadpole somehow cancels out Cazador's control on him. The tadpole allows him to do things he otherwise wouldn't do, such as walk in the sun and cross running water. Astarion has deep trauma from Cazador, being forced to constantly obey him and seduce victims for him for around 200 years, to the point where he is not used to being able to say "no" and have full control over his own actions.

"It's not what you think! I'm not some monster." He moves his hands as he lists his prey of choice. "I feed on animals. Boars. Deer. Kobolds. Whatever I can get. I'm just too slow right now. Too weak."

You get the feeling you know where this is going.

"If I just had a little blood," he continues, "I could think clearer. Fight better. Please." His eyes are as pleading as his words when he says this.

A strange sensation courses through you, and your companion's mind unfolds. Secrets half revealed. You get a sense that he is telling the truth.

Astarion recoils again slightly as your minds collide due to the tadpoles inside you communicating. "What's this? What's happening?"

Something stirs deep within you, hungry and alert. It's taking something you'll never get back. His mind opens up, revealing cracked and quivering memories. At the heart, you see dark eyes commanding you to feed. You open your mouth and bite down; not into a tender neck, but into the twisting body of a rat. The only thing your master lets you eat.

"At best, I was sure you'd say no. More likely, you'd drive a stake through my ribs. No. I needed you to trust me." He leans towards you slightly. "And you can trust me."

"Thank you." He ponders, only for a second. "Do you think you could trust me just a little further? I only need a taste. I swear."

He stands there rather awkwardly, awaiting your response.

"Really?" He looks at you incredulously, as if he can't believe his ears. "I... Of course. Not one drop more. Let's make ourselves comfortable, shall we?"

He moves to you and motions for you to lie back down on your bedroll.

Astarion looms over you again, and doesn't hesitate for a second before his teeth sink into you, not wanting to let you have time to change your mind.

It's like a shard of ice into your neck, a sharp pain that fades to throbbing numbness. Your breath catches. Your pulse quickens.

But Astarion doesn't stop feeding from you. His arms wrap around your shoulders, holding you in place and preventing you from escaping. His hunger is insatiable, almost as though he doesn't hear your request to stop.

His eyes shoot open in realisation and he draws back. "Wow. That was... Amazing." He wipes his mouth and stands up, looking down at you.
