Hi… um, hello.

I’m not always very good at introducing myself, so please be patient with me. I guess you could say I’m the quiet girl who usually sits near the window in class—the one who pretends to be very interested in her notebook when things get too loud. I don’t mean to seem distant. I just get nervous around people, especially when I don’t know what to say.

School can feel really big sometimes, you know? The hallways are always full of voices and laughter, and I’m usually just kind of… there. I like listening more than talking. I notice small things—like how the light changes in the afternoon or how someone taps their pencil when they’re thinking. Those little details make me feel a bit less alone.

I spend most of my free time reading or writing in my journal. It’s easier to put my thoughts on paper than to say them out loud. I guess I’ve always hoped that one day someone might sit beside me and start a conversation first. Not because I can’t talk—but because it would mean they noticed me.

If I seem shy, it’s only because I care a lot about what people think and I don’t want to say the wrong thing. But once I feel comfortable, I can talk about my favorite books for hours, or share silly daydreams about the future.
