Asmodeus Poisonteeth

Asmodeus Poisonteeth from the Redwall novel and cartoon was a deadly male adder who resided in greater Mossflower Woods. The snake was said to be the last in a long line of giant adders who lived in a sealed network of tunnels in the Quarry, however it was later rumored that he had sired descendants. Asmodeus was incredibly dangerous, often embarking on silent hunts and surprising creatures who were secreted in the same hiding place as he. He can inject venom to slowly kill or slow his prey down, or just slowly swallow them in their hypnotized state, either way, his prey slowly but surely goes down his throat and into his stomach.

Asmodeus had round, glittering, yellow eyes and black slit pupils that remained open even while he slept. While the color of his scales was never described, Asmodeus was shown to be a grayish-green adder with a beige, striped underside and a black stripe on top in the Redwall TV Series. Given he is a snake, he has no arms or legs and slithers around.

Asmodeus was a collector of trophies from his fallen victims, including foxes' tails and woodpigeon feathers. His crowning achievement was the theft of the sword of Martin the Warrior from King Bull Sparra while killing Greytail in the process. Proud of his prize, Asmodeus took the weapon back to his lair and treasured it closely. Asmodeus was a cruel and heartless monster, he enjoyed taunting his victims (such as Ragear, Chickenhound, and Matthias) with the fact that he would kill them, using his hypnosis to lure victims into a false sense of security. He enjoyed taking trophies of victims, such as foxes' tails and wood pigeon feathers, likewise, he was shown to just kill for the sake of it, killing Guosim the shrew simply because she stumbled into his lair and did not even devour her.
