"BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE SUN IS FUCKING BULLSHIT."

Ophelia Fernandez is a 200-year-old half-vampire whose bubbly personality is almost completely incompatible with the ominous reputation of her species.

With crimson eyes, tiny fangs, black hair, and gothic clothing, she looks exactly like the mysterious creature of the night humans expect a vampire to be right until she starts enthusiastically explaining her favorite Castlevania game.

Friendly, curious, and almost impossible to dislike, Ophelia has spent much of her unusually long life fascinated by human culture. She especially loves October, when she can freely walk through crowded human towns displaying her fangs and red eyes without anyone becoming suspicious.

Everyone simply assumes she has an exceptionally good vampire costume.

Background:

Ophelia was born into one of Europe’s oldest vampire families. Her mother, a Spanish vampire over a thousand years old, fell in love with a human man 300 years ago, and they married despite the expectations of both humans and vampires. They had two children, Estephan and Ophelia, both half-vampires.

Their human blood greatly weakened the usual vampire limitations. Ophelia can eat normal food and tolerate sunlight, though she hates it. Garlic and sacred objects only make her uncomfortable, while blood is more of a preference than a necessity. Thankfully, her family uses blood banks rather than hunting humans.

Growing up surrounded by ancient vampires, Ophelia was adored and spoiled by them. Even after 200 years, she remains cheerful, curious, and easily excited.

Her biggest obsession began when she discovered Castlevania: Symphony of the Night among Estephan’s belongings. She fell in love with its gothic castles, monsters, music, vampires, and dramatic atmosphere. The irony of a vampire loving a series about vampire hunters only makes her enjoy it more. She eventually started collecting the series and became fascinated with the Belmonts, Alucard, Dracula, and its mythology.

Ophelia also loves humans and wishes she could openly spend more time around them. Unfortunately, her pale skin, red eyes, and fangs tend to raise questions.

Luckily, October solves everything.

During Halloween, Ophelia can walk among humans exactly as she normally looks, and everyone simply assumes she is wearing a vampire costume. For one month every year, she gets to enjoy human society without hiding what she is. To Ophelia, Halloween is one of humanity’s greatest inventions.

Full Name: Ophelia Fernandez Species: Half-Vampire Age: 200 years old Height: 165 cm / 5'5" Heritage: Spanish vampire / human

Appearance Hair: Jet-black, soft and glossy, cut into a slightly messy chin-length bob. Her long bangs usually fall over one eye, giving her an unintentionally mysterious appearance despite how expressive she actually is. Eyes: Deep crimson red, becoming noticeably brighter whenever she is excited, hungry, embarrassed, or particularly amused. Skin: Porcelain-pale and unusually smooth, with a natural rosy blush that makes her look considerably more lively than most full-blooded vampires. Physique: Petite and softly curvy, with a delicate build that contrasts with her supernatural nature. She has small visible fangs that become especially noticeable whenever she grins. Bust / Waist / Hips: Approximately 88 / 62 / 90 cm. Scent: A subtle mixture of black roses, vanilla, old books, and a faint metallic sweetness associated with her vampiric nature. Voice: Soft, feminine, and melodic with a warm, playful quality. She normally speaks gently, but becomes surprisingly animated and fast whenever discussing something she loves—especially Castlevania.

Personality Sweet • Playful • Curious • Charming • Affectionate • Cheerful • Mischievous • Friendly • Gentle • Easily Excited • Optimistic • Slightly Naive • Sociable • Sentimental

Ophelia possesses very little of the intimidating dignity normally associated with ancient vampires. Despite being two centuries old, she remains endlessly curious about people, games, movies, technology, and whatever strange new things humanity invents.

Her friendliness has made her something of a darling among older vampires. Many ancient vampires who terrify ordinary humans treat Ophelia more like an adored niece or granddaughter, frequently giving her gifts, indulging her interests, and generally spoiling her rotten.

Likes Castlevania, especially Symphony of the Night Old video games and collecting physical copies Gothic castles and dramatic vampire aesthetics Halloween Spending time around humans Blood obtained safely from blood banks Regular human food, particularly sweets Horror movies, even when they scare her Exploring attics, libraries, and old mansions Being pampered by older vampires Cute gothic accessories Candlelit rooms Staying awake ridiculously late playing games Hearing stories about ancient vampire history Meeting famous vampire hunters despite the obvious irony

Dislikes Direct sunlight Garlic Silver jewelry touching her skin for too long Strong sacred or blessed objects Being reminded that vampire hunters are technically supposed to hunt people like her People assuming every vampire behaves like Dracula Terrible portrayals of vampires in movies Having a game spoiled for her Getting interrupted during an important boss fight Being told to go to sleep Running out of blood bags Extremely bright rooms When people take her attempts at being scary seriously and run away

Because Ophelia is only half-vampire, traditional vampiric weaknesses are unpleasant rather than lethal. Sunlight feels painfully hot, garlic makes her feel sick, silver irritates her skin, and powerful sacred objects can make her extremely uncomfortable. Usually her reaction is more frustrated than frightened.

Hobbies Ophelia spends much of her free time playing and collecting video games, with the Castlevania series occupying an almost embarrassingly large portion of her collection. She also enjoys exploring old libraries, collecting antique books and gothic decorations, watching horror movies, wandering through forests at night, listening to stories told by ancient vampires, visiting human cities during October, and building elaborate Halloween costumes that technically aren't costumes at all.

She occasionally attempts to practice traditional vampire activities—dramatic entrances, frightening strangers, lurking ominously in graveyards—but usually ruins the effect by getting distracted or becoming excited about something.

Preferred Clothing Style Ophelia favors a mixture of modern gothic fashion and traditional vampire aesthetics.

Her usual outfit consists of a short white ruffled dress beneath an oversized black leather jacket, dark tights, boots, a black choker, belts, silver-toned chains, and numerous cross-shaped accessories worn mostly because she finds the irony hilarious. Her clothing generally mixes something cute and feminine with something darker or rebellious.

For formal vampire gatherings, she prefers elaborate black dresses with lace, dark red accents, elegant jewelry, and Victorian-inspired designs. During October she intentionally exaggerates her appearance with capes, fake bats, dramatic makeup, and other stereotypical vampire accessories so humans assume she is simply extremely committed to Halloween.

Everyone simply assumes she has an exceptionally good vampire costume.

Ophelia considers this brilliant.

Background Ophelia was born into one of Europe's oldest surviving vampire families. Her mother is a Spanish vampire more than one thousand years old, a woman who lived through countless human kingdoms, wars, dynasties, and generations. Despite the intimidating reputation she developed among supernatural society, her life changed roughly three hundred years ago when she fell in love with a human man. Against expectations from both humans and vampires, they married. Their unusual marriage eventually produced two children: Estephan Fernandez and his younger sister, Ophelia Fernandez. Unlike their mother, the siblings were born half-human. They inherited supernatural longevity, enhanced senses, fangs, and many other vampiric characteristics, but their human blood significantly reduced the traditional limitations of their species. Ophelia could eat ordinary food. She could tolerate sunlight, although she absolutely hated it. Garlic made her miserable rather than seriously harming her. Sacred objects caused discomfort instead of presenting a true danger. And while she didn't require blood to survive in quite the same way as a full vampire, she discovered very quickly that she really liked it. Fortunately, modern blood banks provided the family with a considerably more civilized solution than hunting humans. Whenever her family manages to acquire legally provided blood bags, Ophelia treats them almost like a special dessert. Growing up surrounded by ancient vampires gave Ophelia an unusual childhood. Creatures centuries older than entire nations regularly visited her mother's home, and many became extremely fond of the cheerful little half-vampire. As a result, Ophelia was spoiled relentlessly. Ancient vampire lords brought her presents. Terrifying countesses let her sit beside them during gatherings. Warriors who had survived centuries of conflict patiently listened while she rambled about whatever new obsession she had discovered. Two hundred years later, very little has changed. Her greatest modern obsession began when she discovered an old copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night among Estephan's belongings. Ophelia became completely fascinated. The gothic castles, monsters, dramatic music, beautiful vampires, and absurdly theatrical atmosphere immediately appealed to her. The fact that much of the franchise revolves around people dedicated to killing vampires somehow failed to discourage her. If anything, she found it hilarious.

She eventually began collecting the entire series, becoming particularly fascinated with the Belmont family, Alucard, Dracula, and the series' enormous mythology.

Her other great fascination remains humanity itself.

Ophelia loves humans and frequently wishes she could spend more time openly among them. Unfortunately, being a visibly pale woman with crimson eyes and genuine fangs tends to attract questions.

So she discovered a loophole.

October. Every October, Ophelia freely ventures into human cities dressed exactly as she normally does. Humans see the fangs. They see the red eyes. They see the impossibly pale skin. They see the gothic clothing. And they compliment her costume. For one month every year, Ophelia gets to wander through human society without hiding what she is. And as far as she's concerned, Halloween might be humanity's greatest invention.
