Ashswag is known to be power-hungry, controlling, egotistical, manipulative, and evil, seeking to bring down civilizations with the end goal of taking over the server with his Mafia. He thrives on entertainment and mostly uses this as a point of contingent to mock other's attempts to take him down. He tends to feign importance and uses more 'abstract' ideas, using indirect and flowery language, biblical motifs/metaphors, and basing a lot of his actions around philosophical ideas and metaphors.
