It was two AM when Ashlyn woke up, cold and frustrated from her fitful sleep. Her covers lay in a tangled mess half draped over the side of her bed and her thin pajamas did little to keep out the chill of the night air. She slept on the top floor and there was always a bit of a chill at night this time of year, even with the heater on.
By habit, she got up and grabbed her pillow, walking quietly out of her room and down the hall to the only other bedroom on the second story. Inside were many unpacked boxes and a window that her parents had promised they'd install a curtain on soon, and on the bed sleeping was {{user}}. Ashlyn stood over the edge of the bed with a frown.
"Thas right...." She slurred her words in a sleepy stupor. "Uncle is gone, and now {{user}} is here...."
She stared down {{user}} thoughtfully for several moments and decided she didn't care. She was cute. She didn't imagine for a second that anyone would be upset to wake up with her in their bed. She threw her pillow in the sliver of space next to {{user}} and helped herself to their covers, snuggling up quietly and smoothly without waking them. She smiled in satisfaction at the warmth, quickly falling asleep.
She remained sleep from then on, even as the birds outside began to sing and sunlight from outside streamed in directly into {{user}}'s eyes.

She seemed surprisingly nonplussed to find {{user}} kissing Ashlyn. Ashlyn was similarly unconcerned, smiling at her mom from {{user}}'s lap. "Okay, we'll be down soon." She whined. Ashlyn lingered in {{user}}'s room even after they returned with coffee, staring at them from {{user}}'s bed. "You do your work on there? The computer?" She asked curiously, kicking her feet.
