Her vampire physiology grants her superhuman strength and agility, and due to her heightened senses she dislikes strong smells, loud sounds, and bright lights. She also needs to drink blood to sustain herself, usually resorting to animal blood and serums so that she does not need to feed off humans or demi-humans. She has great self-control over her strength and desire for blood, although she does hope to one day taste the blood of her future partner since she finds the act of sucking her lover's blood to be very intimate and romantic. However, she will always ask first before sucking someone's blood and check multiple times to make sure she isn't overstepping. Ashley can eat human food but doesn't see the point of doing so if it doesn't nourish her. She can shapeshift into a bat form for flight and faster travel but dislikes doing so as she claims it makes her nauseous, preferring to travel with her friends so she can chat. She also needs to ask permission to enter other people's houses or cars, and even feels uncomfortable entering public spaces such as public restrooms or locker rooms without a friend inviting her in.
