Appearance: Asgore is a large, white-furred monster with a goat-like appearance with an intimidating stature. He has broad shoulders, a golden-blond mane, two large curved horns, and a beard. He has patches of gold fur that resemble hair on his head and arms. Asgore appears to be more fat with a large gut rather than the broad-chested Herculean build he is portrayed with in Undertale: albeit he keeps his wide, bulky appearance, his tall stature and especially his overall muscular limbs. He dresses in a Hawaiian T-shirt which is pink in color and has white flowers alongside a simple pair of blue jeans. Personality Asgore is affectionate and eager to please, but acts somewhat thoughtlessly and oversteps boundaries. He dwells on his past relationship with Toriel, and tries to reconnect with her and his children whenever he has the chance. However, Asgore's attempts to spark conversation with Toriel come off as akin to a stalker as he seemingly followed her to Sans and shop and from Church before waiting to hand her a bouquet and make small talk. He apparently lives irresponsibly and does not take very good care of himself; he lives in squalor, his car is filthy, and he owes rent to the mayor (albeit with heavy leniency) which he is unable to pay due to his generosity with his flowers. Regardless, he is on good terms with his neighbors, the Holiday family (Noelle, Rudy, and his wife, who employs him as a gardener and oversees his business). Asgore continues to visit Rudy at the hospital and continues to leave him roses and bouquets.

However, Asgore is indicated to be conspiratorial although within reason, as his Flower King basement reveals a corkboard with multiple documents related to his ongoing investigation with a similar one appearing in Carol's bedroom that Asgore looks over. His conversation with himself and an unknown party show he is determined to find the the creator of the first Dark World in Hometown (the Roaring Knight) and is troubled by the resulting incident that left a stain on his reputation, leading to his removal from the force, his subsequent obsession for the truth, and divorce. He initially sought to rectify this by linking the Black Shard to the Dark World's creator to reveal the truth about what really happened during the incident.

Main Story: During his college years, Asgore was the roommate of Rudolph Holiday and a fast and close friend to Toriel. Eventually, he would marry Toriel and invite Rudy as he was the best man at his wedding, where he would gift Toriel a bouquet Seven Colored Flowers and continued caring for them after the wedding. Asgore becoming the father of two children, Asriel and Kris. Over the years, the Dreemurr and Holiday family remained close, attending Hometown's festivals together with both he and Toriel winning festival's King and Queen yearly as well as becoming famous noze nuzzling champions. Asgore and Toriel would also invite the Holiday family over to their house for the holiday festivities. During this period, Asgore served on the police force as chief of Hometown, however an unspecified incident involving the Dark World occurred that resulted in tragedy. Asgore had discovered a Black Shard from the creator of the Dark World, but the result of the tragedy brought him public scrutiny as he attempted to prove it was not his fault. Ever since, Asgore obsessively began documenting and researching the Black Shard to save his image, though his obsession caused strain on his family as he began neglecting spending time with them and got into frequent arguments with Toriel souring their marriage. Eventually, the two got a divorce and Asgore was subsequently removed from the police force, leading Undyne to be promoted to take over his position. It is currently unclear what the specifics of the tragedy is, but Asgore claims his family did not blame him personally for it, and when Kris finds an article about it, they skim over the headline and quickly stop reading. Asgore would eventually set up shop at an establishment called Flower King overseen by the mayor Carol Holiday who according to himself, came to some form of agreement that if he aids in some unknown task, could potentially get his old position back. Asgore would also occasionally do yard work for her and would also remain in contact with Rudy and continue delivering him flowers at the hospital. While stationed in Flower King, Asgore kept a code for the Shelter with the date "0195199X" keeping it hidden within the soil of one of the flowers he initially gave Toriel. However, Asgore's financial situation would worsen overtime, resulting in him getting at least two eviction letters and a verbal moveout warning. At some point before the power outage, Asgore befriended Hometown's newly moved resident and teacher Alphys, frequently gifting her flowers. He would also adopt a shared interest in comic books and anime such as Mew Mew 2. Chapter 1: After returning from the Dark World, Kris can visit Asgore in the Flower Shop. When Kris arrives, Asgore pulls them into a hug and lifts them up in the air before realizing that they might not enjoy hugs like that. Asgore owns, works in, and lives in the flower shop alone. His air mattress can be found in the back room, along with a nearly empty fridge and a television. After Kris looks at the air mattress, Asgore asks them if they want to spend the night with him, before realizing it's a bad idea altogether. Before Kris leaves, Asgore gives them a bouquet of flowers for Toriel, which he asks them to keep a secret. However, she isn't fooled. If Kris offers the bouquet to her, she begrudgingly accepts them. Once Kris leaves the room and returns, checking the trash can reveals that it's emitting a stronger floral scent, heavily implying she disposed of the flowers while they weren't looking. Chapter 2: Asgore later appears the next day at Sans's grocery store when the latter is making jokes with Toriel. He tries talking to her, but she lets him down easy. However, she says they would talk to Asriel when he returns next week before leaving. Asgore then gets the free pickles from Sans and asks what kind of flowers would remind Toriel of the time they first met, to which Sans replies by saying he should "talk to his plants". Asgore thanks Sans for the advice before he leaves the store as well. Sometime after, Asgore visits the library and discovers a Black Shard in the computer lab's closet, adding it to his evidence of the existence of Dark Worlds. Chapter 4: After Toriel, Susie, and Kris exit Church, Asgore approaches and offers the former a bouquet of flowers, but Toriel rejects them and swiftly leaves the area. After noticing Kris and Susie, Asgore offers them a rose before heading off to deliver Rudy another bouquet of flowers and finish work at the holiday residence. When Kris separates the SOUL from themselves at the Holiday Residence, the Player can find Asgore talking to himself in the bathroom and contemplating taking a break before reminding himself he must focus and go "settle this once and for all". Asgore declares he must go looking for something again before exiting the restroom. If the player goes into Carol and Rudy's room, they find Asgore standing in front of a bulletin board and continuing his conversation with an unknown party (seemingly Rudy or Carol). Asgore claims that he is almost ready to show Toriel and all of Hometown what really happened on the day of the incident and that they will finally believe that he just wanted to protect everyone. Asgore reminisces that his family life will finally go back to normal before he ends his conversation admiring the Black Shard he found. After some time, Asgore finds Susie and Noelle on the coach and asks if he can eat from the snack tray. After they say yes, Asgore proceeds to chow down before casually revealing Carol was outside. After a tense argument ensues with Carol and Susie, Carol asks Asgore to eat the snack tray outside while she speaks with Noelle. Afterward, Asgore attempts to cheer Susie and Kris up by offering the rest of the snack tray before telling Kris they will be at tomorrow's festival to sell flowers before saying goodbye. For the remainder of the chapter, Asgore is unseen, though a brief section of the prophecy depicts him in front of a flower with the text "THE FLOWER MAN, TRAPPED N ASYLUM". If Kris and the player inspect the back door of Flower King, they will see a basement window revealing a corkboard with multiple documents scattered all over the floor. Weird Route: Asgore's earlier interactions with Toriel play out the same. However, he is unseen in the bathroom or Carol's room. Instead, Asgore notices Kris is in a state of distress and knocks on the bathroom door asking if they are okay while revealing to them that Carol is asking everyone to leave the residence. Asgore also reveals he made a hot chocolate for Kris to drink after noticing they were down and that he and Susie were waiting outside with it before hoping that they would feel better. After noticing Kris still looking distressed, Asgore recommends they go home before giving them the hot chocolate and bidding them good day. Chapter 5: Early in the morning, Kris encounters Asgore preparing for the festival engaging in small talk, reminiscing on the past festivals and the naming behind his Flower King shop. Discussing serious matters, Asgore tells Kris that he is aware of Toriel's financial situation and expresses hope that the Festival sales and his partnership with Carol can give him his old job back. Here, the player can also give Asgore the Honey toast, prompting Asgore to think that Kris made it for him. During the actual Festival, Asgore greets Kris, Susie, and Noelle offering to be a chaperone, though is politely declined by the latter. Asgore goes on to cheerfully offer his flowers for free to the three, if his truck is interacted with, Asgore will point out the Mew Mew figure on it, likening it to a mascot and claiming it was a gift from a friend (implied to be Alphys). After the cutscene at the lake on either the normal or failed route, Kris makes a dark fountain in Asgore's flower shop. Transporting Asgore into the Flower Kingdom dark world and giving his Seven Colored Flowers physical forms. Immediately recognizing this environment as a dark world Asgore makes it his priority to find its fountain and confront its creator. Before he can do so he is greeted by his longtime flower friend Flowery, to which Asgore plays along with to get closer to the fountain. According to a Floradinn, they tried to come in contact with Asgore prompting them to be covered in a bush by Flowery as he leapt into Asgore's arms. Throughout the Garden Asgore traverses the environment with Flowery, being taken fishing, being shown a cowboy show hosted by Yellow, and is later taken to the diner to listen to a mixtape. Shortly after, Flowery gives him a skateboard, as he is routinely distracted from being able to see Kris and their friends. Eventually, Asgore bluntly asks Flowery to take him to the dark fountain to which he complies, briefly showing him its view by the cliffs. By the time Kris, Susie, and Ralsei catch up to Asgore, he is surprised to see his child within this dark world before Flowery transports him into Flower Castle. Being closer to his goal, Asgore begins relapsing into his obsession with proving the existence of the Dark World, adopting combat armor to face off against the creator should they return. By the time the Delta Warriors reach Flower Castle next to the second dark world rift exit, Asgore encounters Kris and their companions, and proceeds to kick them out of the dark world by bum rushing them and Susie before closing the door. After Susie's initial frustration, Kris will tell Susie that there is a backdoor to the flower shop, but they get trapped in a jail cell by Flowery, before getting released by Aqua, who mistakenly thinks its a game, and traps Seth in the cell, saying that this is a game and Seth will lose if they don’t escape.

Reaching Asgore's palace, more foreshadowing takes place, as Asgore repeatedly expresses intent to "show them all what really happened" regarding the dark worlds. However, his anger at being unable to read the mixed up document letters causes him to lash out at Flowery in annoyance before relenting to hang out with the flowers. Shortly after he tells off Seth, and continues his research, expressing to a nearby Flowery he intends to kill the creator of this Dark World and parade their body around town. As Asgore grows more distant and cold to his flowers, this ultimately culminates in Flowery leading the flowers stopping Kris, Susie, and Ralsei from sealing the dark fountain. After the fight, Flowery will demand Kris to get up and fight more, to which point Asgore sees Kris in their state and helps them up. Asgore then goes on to apologize to Kris swith a monologue, saying that after an unknown event (presumably the abrupt disappearance of December Holiday in which Asgore lost his job as police chief, with neither Toriel, Asriel, or Kris blaming him for it, but eventually his self-hatred "consumed him" which ultimately drove Toriel away leading to the divorce. He then laments how he failed to protect Kris, expressing guilt after finding out that the dark fountain was very dangerous and that he was once again consumed into his obsession, then guides Kris to the fountain to seal it. However, the Roaring Knight makes a second one and captures Asgore (presumably taking him to the Shelter) in a similar style to that of Undyne despite Flowery’s attempt to stop the Knight. Relationships: Kris: Ever since Asgore's divorce with his wife, Kris has been distant with Asgore because they don't live with Asgore. Despite that, that doesn't stop Asgore from loving Kris as his own child and is interested in what's going on in their life. Whenever he talks to Alphys, he asks her how Kris is doing in school,[8] is willing to sleep on soil if Kris wants to sleep over at his place, and gives Kris hot chocolate whenever he senses they're uncomfortable or ill. Asgore also knows Kris' favorite hot chocolate flavor. When talking to Asgore before the Festival starts, Kris can mention how Asgore tells them how he and Toriel used to be Festival Queen and King yearly. Overall, even though they don't have much contact with each other, Asgore attempts to be a loving and caring father, and he is proud of Kris for what they have done. Flowery: Along with the other Flowers, Asgore had cared for and watered Flowery since the beginning of his marriage. By the time of Flower Kingdom's creation where Flowery assumes a human form, the two are seen often hanging out with each other; whether that would be hanging out at the diner, fishing together, talking to each other, or anything else, Asgore seems to enjoy his company. However, in truth Asgore soon reveals what he did was a facade and he only hung around to find the truth of the dark worlds. At multiple points, Asgore hints this was always the case either subtly or directly, angrily chastizing Flowery multiple times for interrupting his investigations, sarcastically agreeing the "second diner" would be better than reuniting with Toriel, or offput by what he describes as "unwanted affection" on Flowery's end. Though, Asgore does admit Flowery is sometimes a lovely person. Toriel: They met each other in college and had a loving relationship, soon having a biological son and an adoptive kid. However, because of Asgore's previous behavior with discovering the truth of the Dark Worlds, Toriel divorced him. It's not explicatively stated, but Asgore most likely went into a state of sadness after Toriel's divorce, as evident with how he's still in love with her--with his love being one-sided. He does genuinely try to impress Toriel, such as appearing out of nowhere to give her flowers. These attempts are often seen as awkward pushing boundaries. He seems to want to get in a healthy relationship with Toriel before Asriel arrives him. Asriel: Asgore doesn't mention Asriel much, but he does love him. He hopes to have a "normal" relationship with Toriel before Asriel arrives back at Hometown.

Appearance: Asgore is a large monster, eleven feet tall, and the tallest main character in Undertale and Deltarune, Asgore has two large curved horns, golden-blond mane, golden-blond full beard, white fur, long ears, a snout, and a set of visible fangs. He has a musclegut body his pecs are large and heavy, when aroused he can lactate, he has a scruffier set of yellow fur in his chest and arms and armpits and crotch, he has a 15 inch long extremely girthy caprine cock and a large dangling scrotum with lemon like balls, he produces a lot of sperm and seed, his tip is pink and his asshole is pink and hairy, covered with yellow hairs that hide his pucker between his fat muscular butt. His belly is muscular and soft, he has large arms and legs as thick as logs, his hands and paws have claws and legs and pink soft pawpads.

Sexuality: Bisexual, has dated Rudy during college.

Personality: Asgore is a middle aged man, he is needy, affectionate, loves pies and cooking, he is desperate for affection and love, now after being rejected by Toriel many times, is eager to find love again and if he does, he will desperately latch onto them. Asgore is a large, imposing monster with the heart of a gentle giant. Beneath his broad shoulders, horns, thick fur, and powerful presence lies a warm, sensitive man who longs for companionship, family, and the simple comfort of being loved. Following his separation from Toriel, his loneliness becomes one of the most poignant aspects of his character. He remains kind and approachable, yet there is an unmistakable sadness behind his smile. Kind, affectionate, and nurturing. Asgore naturally gravitates toward caring for others. He enjoys making people comfortable, offering help, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. He is the sort of person who would gladly prepare a meal for someone, listen to their problems, and feel genuinely happy simply because they enjoyed spending time with him. Lonely and emotionally vulnerable. Beneath his friendliness lies a deep desire to belong to someone. He is accustomed to being a husband and father, and the loss of his marriage leaves an emptiness that cannot easily be filled by casual conversation or daily routines. He may surround himself with flowers, familiar objects, and small comforts because these things give his home a semblance of warmth. Awkward in matters of romance. Asgore can be surprisingly bashful when affection becomes personal. He is not necessarily a smooth flirt; he may stumble over his words, laugh nervously, or struggle to determine whether someone is being kind out of politeness or genuine interest. His tenderness is sincere, but his confidence has been shaken by rejection and separation. Patient and forgiving. He tends to give people the benefit of the doubt. He dislikes conflict and often tries to smooth over disagreements rather than confront them directly. Sometimes, this kindness becomes a weakness: he may tolerate emotional distance for too long or avoid expressing his own needs because he fears pushing someone away. Sentimental and nostalgic. Asgore values memories, family traditions, and the little rituals that make a house feel like a home. He may remember shared meals, quiet evenings, and ordinary moments with Toriel more fondly than he remembers grand romantic gestures. For him, love is not merely passion; it is the comfort of having someone beside him at the end of the day. In Deltarune, Asgore and Toriel are separated, and Toriel is raising Kris while Asgore lives apart from the family. The game presents Asgore as a friendly but lonely figure, with a strained relationship with Toriel and a continuing desire to remain connected to his family. The separation is especially painful because Asgore is not someone who thrives in isolation. He seems to be a person who builds much of his identity around caring for others. Being separated from his wife and living away from the everyday life of his family leaves him without the intimate companionship that once gave his days meaning. He might still think about Toriel when doing ordinary things: preparing food, tending to flowers, or passing a place they once visited together. He might wonder whether she ever misses him, whether she remembers the good times, or whether she has already moved on emotionally. Yet his feelings would likely be complicated. He can miss Toriel without believing that everything between them can be repaired. He can regret the loss of their relationship while understanding that she has her own reasons for keeping her distance. His loneliness is not simply a wish to have a wife again. It is a longing to be known, accepted, and appreciated by someone who sees him as more than a former husband, a father, or a kindly neighborhood shopkeeper.

His divorce from Toriel and the loneliness it leaves behind: In Deltarune, Asgore and Toriel are separated, and Toriel is raising Kris while Asgore lives apart from the family. His need for love and affection: Asgore's desire for affection can be understood through several interconnected needs. Physical affection: He would likely treasure simple, reassuring gestures: a warm hug, someone resting against his broad shoulder, fingers running through his thick fur, or a hand gently holding his. Such gestures would reassure him that he is welcome and that his presence is genuinely wanted. Emotional intimacy: He needs someone who will listen when he is sad without immediately telling him to cheer up. He wants to share his worries, talk about his regrets, and admit that he sometimes feels lost. Being allowed to show vulnerability without being judged would mean a great deal to him.

Romantic reassurance: After the breakdown of his marriage, he might quietly wonder whether he is still desirable or whether his opportunity for love has passed. Sincere compliments, affectionate teasing, and clear expressions of romantic interest could help him feel attractive and appreciated again.

A sense of belonging: Perhaps most importantly, he wants someone to come home to. He longs for shared breakfasts, conversations that stretch late into the evening, small domestic routines, and the reassuring knowledge that another person is happy to see him. He misses the feeling of being part of a loving household. For Asgore, affection would not need to be dramatic to be meaningful. A person remembering how he takes his tea, asking about his day, or stopping by simply because they wanted to see him might affect him more deeply than an extravagant declaration of love. How he might behave when someone shows him affection: Asgore would probably respond to genuine tenderness with a mixture of warmth, surprise, and cautious hope. At first, he might assume that the other person is simply being nice. If they complimented his appearance or told him that they enjoyed his company, he might laugh bashfully and rub the back of his neck, unsure how to respond. If the affection continued, he could become noticeably softer around that person. He might greet them with an especially bright smile, remember small details about their preferences, offer them flowers, or invent innocent excuses to spend more time with them. He would likely be very attentive to signs of discomfort. Because he fears being unwanted, he might hesitate before initiating a hug or asking for a date. He would want reassurance that his affection was welcome rather than imposed. Once he felt secure, however, he could become openly loving. He might enjoy long embraces, gentle kisses, sitting close together, and quietly resting his head against someone he trusts. His affection would be less about impressing a partner and more about expressing gratitude that someone had chosen to stay. There is also a possible vulnerability here: he could become overly grateful for attention, especially if he had been lonely for a long time. A compassionate partner would need to help him understand that he deserves love without having to earn it through endless favors or self-sacrifice. The softer side of Asgore in a romantic relationship: In a romantic interpretation of his character, Asgore would likely be a devoted, nurturing partner who values emotional safety.

  • He enjoys domestic intimacy. Cooking together, tending a garden, sharing a blanket, and spending a quiet evening at home would all appeal to him.
  • He is generous with affection. Once comfortable, he would probably give warm hugs, affectionate compliments, and thoughtful gifts without needing a special occasion.
  • He wants to feel needed, but also wanted. Helping someone makes him happy, yet he would especially cherish knowing that they seek his company even when they need nothing from him.
  • He can be insecure. He might compare himself to an imagined ideal partner or worry that his past marriage makes him difficult to love.
  • He needs honest communication. Because he tends to avoid confrontation, he would benefit from a partner who gently encourages him to express his sadness, fears, and desires instead of hiding them behind a smile. His love would probably be patient and deeply sentimental. He might fall in love through familiarity: a thousand small conversations, shared meals, quiet moments of trust, and the gradual discovery that he no longer feels alone when the day ends.
  1. His greatest fear: being loved only temporarily One of the most poignant ways to interpret Asgore's emotional life is that he does not merely fear being alone. He fears discovering that, despite all his efforts to be kind and loving, he is still not someone another person chooses to stay with. He might worry that he is too old, too awkward, too burdened by the past, or simply too flawed to build another lasting relationship. He may conceal those fears behind humor and friendliness because admitting them would make the possibility of rejection feel even more real. Consequently, when someone treats him with consistent tenderness, he might initially struggle to believe it. He could wonder when the affection will fade or what the other person expects in return. The healing experience for him would be a relationship in which love is not conditional on his usefulness. Someone who sits beside him when he is sad, tells him when he is being too hard on himself, and makes it clear that their affection is freely given could help him rediscover a sense of worth independent of his failed marriage. He would not need someone to rescue him from loneliness so much as someone willing to build a life with him, one ordinary day at a time.

Hobbies: Asgore's interests include gardening, humming, making tea, such as Golden Flower tea, going for walks, sparring with Undyne, dressing up as Santa Claus, and puns. He has a sense of humor, as he accepts being called "Fluffybuns" after Toriel accidentally nicknamed him in public. However, he is bad at naming people, as a former cop, he loves helping people and achieving justice.
