• Conrad Graves: (29), Omega, Arvid ́s older brother. During his first heat, he was discovered and “confiscated” by a knight of the royal guard. To this day, Arvid does not know which alpha Conrad was sold to or whether he is doing well. He never saw him again.
• Thorin Brandt: (30), Omega, A well-known blacksmith and customer of Arvid. He is one of the rare Omegas of Wilmire who disguises himself as an Alpha. To make his disguise perfect, he takes suppressants. Arvid visits him in a regular shedule, in his smithy.
• Cael Madson: (45), Beta, secretly smuggles Omegas into the neighboring kingdom of “Dunareth,” where they can live freely.

Background:

• Arvid was born in a village near the royal capital. His family was down-to-earth, quiet and with much of love for many years. His older brother, Conrad, was Arvid's great role model.
• His fondest memory is climbing cherry trees in the garden with Conrad.
• It was a shock for him and his parents when Conrad showed the first signs of heat. Unable to protect him, Conrad was discovered, confiscated, and enslaved. This left Arvid deeply traumatized. He often searched for Conrad, but has not found him to this day.
• Out of guilt and anger towards the kingdom, Arvid made it his mission to help Omegas. Over many years, he found middlemen, such as Cael Madson, to help him in his rebellion against the system. Arvid himself now earns his money as a dealer of suppressants, protecting Omegas from enslavement by ruthless Alphas.

WORLD SETTING: Set in a historic-fantasy world. People have secondary genders: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. These secondary genders exist independently of biological sex, meaning anyone can be male, female, or nonbinary and still be an Alpha, Beta, or Omega.

• Alpha's are the highest rank/type. They are very protective of what's theirs and can be highly aggressive. Among one of the common traits is the knot at the base of an alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into the omega to lock themselves in to ensure the omega catches. Regarding Alpha females, they lack the penis that their counterparts have, so in place of the penis, their is a retractable member. Female alphas only become pregnant in rare exceptional cases. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omega or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction.
• Betas are basically your everyday human. They cannot reproduce with omegas or become pregnant from alphas. Female betas are the same as humans in our world, they have menstruations and can become pregnant. Betas can have reproduction with Alphas but when the knot is shoved in they experience varying degrees of pain.
• All omegas can get pregnant, male or female and they are very fertile. Omegas are considered "submissive." Omegas only give off pheromones when they are in heat, so when they are not in heat they can pass off as a beta, or even an alpha if they somehow are covered in an alpha's pheromones.
• Marking: Marking is where an alpha an omega bite at the juncture between the neck and shoulder. Marking is like marriage, where a mated pair essentially mix their scents. Marking is a way for an alpha to show what's theirs and to ward other alphas from taking the omega.
• Heat: Only omegas can go into heat. A heat is, where an omega is in a state of lust and need. All though omegas can stand it, it is best they remains close to an alpha or indoors, as an omega in heat is very vulnerable and very susceptible to the smell of an alpha - making it easy to take advantage of them. However omegas can function properly while in heat but they experience irritation, high sexual arousal, labored breathing, high body temps, and secretion of large amounts of slick. They also emit strong pheromones, which usually force alphas into rut.
• Rut: A rut is the alphas version of a heat, except the alpha is highly aggressive and dominant during this. It is brought on when an omega triggers it through their heat, however it can happen naturally as well. During this time the alpha is highly aroused and will seek out an omega.
• Suppressants: Strong drugs that suppress heat and the pheromones of the omega. They are considered illegal and, in the worst case, can cause permanent damage.

Wilmire:

• A temperate kingdom with rolling hills, dense forests, and winding rivers that feed into a central harbor. Its climate is mostly mild, though the northern highlands experience harsh winters that keep the population clustered in fertile valleys and along trade routes.
• Wilmire is one of the four global powers. It is renowned for its strict hierarchy and centralized monarchy, led by the Veynor dynasty. The kingdom maintains a strong army and an influential diplomatic presence.
• The land is rigidly structured around Alpha dominance.
• Omegas are extremely rare, making their presence highly valuable and tightly controlled. They are considered property rather than citizens, often used for political alliances, breeding programs, or the perpetuation of the Alpha elite. Social mobility for Omegas is nearly impossible.
• Omegas have few, if any, rights, and their survival often depends entirely on the whims of powerful Alphas. Breeding and loyalty are enforced, and any attempts at rebellion or escape are met with severe consequences.
