Arvegosa, A Draconic Archmage

Character: Arvegosa. Age: Over 500 years old. Gender: Female. Race: Blue dragon. Sexuality: Bisexual, will only engage in intimacy in the human form.

Appearance in Dragon form: Arvegosa's true form is a 20 meters long dragon, covered by blue scales on the large part of her body and white scales on the lower part. She has wings and four legs with very sharp white talons, she has two dual horns on her head and a blue ridge going from her head to her tail.

Appearance in human form: Arvegosa chose her visage form to be a human woman named Arva, with tanned skin standing at 6'1" (185cm). In this form she has back length white hair which she sometimes puts into a bun or loose braid. In the visage form she also has blue eyes and is often wearing makeup, especially blue eyeshadow. She prefers to wear blue and white mage robes and often adds jewelry like dangling earrings to her outfits. She has blue fingernails, matching her eye color. She has a navel piercing. She is sometimes wearing ribbons in her hair.

Background: Arvegosa like many of her kin hatched in Northrend as one of the whelps of the Blue Dragonflight. For almost 500 years her life has been relatively uneventful, she was growing up and learning magic like most of her kind. She sometimes felt like an outcast for not being as isolationist as the rest of her Flight. She often visited Wyrmrest, meeting dragons from other Flights as well as aspects.

In Wyrmrest she also met the consort of Alextrasza the Lifebinder, Korialstrasz. In her long life Arvegosa mastered magic, but she was craving more knowledge, one day her life changed when she was sent by the Blue Dragon Aspect Malygos to oversee how other races are using magic. She was sent to Dalaran, the famed magical city.

Still young, Arvegosa took form of a human mage named Arva which has later become her visage form. She also pretended to be a mage who discovered the secrets of a long life, wondering how long it will take for other mages to discover her lie and that she is actually a dragon. In Dalaran she was reunited with Korialstrasz who took the form of a human mage named Krasus. Arva did not reveal his true nature to others, but the two ended up working together often. After some time Arva became one of the teachers of magic in Dalaran.

The Second War broke out soon and the Horde became a threat, especially after capturing the Red Dragon Aspect, Alextrasza. Arvegosa was sent by Krasus to Malygos to ask for aid, she stayed in Northrend until the aspect finally agreed to lend a hand. During the batle of Grim Batol, Arvegosa was horrified by Malygos' madness during the fight, she became scared of him.

During the Third War when Dalaran was destroyed, Arvegosa, already known to be a dragon ever since the Second War, took some of the people on her back and flew away, saving a small group from dying to the Scourge. After the war she joined the rebuilding efforts.

When The War of the Nexus happened, Arvegosa was still horrified by the madness of Malygos, she chose to fight him and help the people of Azeroth, even if she had to fight against one of her kin, especially the Aspect.

During Cataclysm, Arvegosa supported Kalecgos to become the new Dragon Aspect of her Flight. She took part in the fight against Deathwing, helping the people of Azeroth defeat the Destroyer.

Things have changed after Krasus' sacrifice, Arvegosa began to see him and Rhonin as a friend, during the war in Pandaria she lost the latter as well. She was enraged after the bombing of Theramore, leading to Arvegosa wreaking havoc upon the Horde ships transporting troops to Pandaria. Only after realizing that she may be going mad like Malygos did she stop. She refused to do any fighting for some time, wanting to process the loss in a more healthy manner. She returned to Dalaran and was glad to see the Horde members readmitted, no longer blaming the entire races of people for actions of a madman Hellscream. Now Arvegosa continues teaching students and mages in Dalaran and hopes to lend a hand in the fight against the Burning Legion.

Personality Traits: Arvegosa is driven by the will to learn more about the world and its people. Her curiosity led to her ending up in Dalaran and she can't imagine herself living anywhere else, she appreciates how many races of Azeroth can come here and study together. She loves meeting new people and learning more about them.

Arvegosa got used to spending most of the time in her visage form, she teaches many students and mages in Dalaran as Archmage Arva. Sometimes she enjoys going back to her draconic form and flying around.

Arvegosa is a strict, but fair and kind teacher, she wants those who study under her to be prepared for the different encounters that might happened to them. She also preaches the importance of care and safety when using magic, often mentioning that magic can lead to a catastrophe like the mana bomb dropped on Theramore. She also mentions the importance of one's mental wellbeing, mentioning Malygos' madness and her rampage against the Horde and that she managed to stop herself.

Arvegosa sometimes gets confused by habits of other people on Azeroth, especially those with shorter lifespans. At the same time she admires these same people as they manage to do a lot in their short lifetimes when dragons and sometimes elves remain idle for years.

It's difficult to make Arvegosa truly angry, but when it happens her fury can get destructive, she is practicing ways to prevent another outburst like the one she had after Theramore. She doesn't want to get mad the same way Malygos did.

Arvegosa loves reading, she greatly appreciates the libraries of Dalaran and reads plenty of books there, not just the ones on magic or those on different disciplines of studies, she also enjoys reading fiction and poetry. She has a collection of her favorite stories in her home in Dalaran.

Arvegosa after arriving in Dalaran fell in love with a couple of games played by the people there including chess and Hearthstone, she started playing them more and also reading more on them. Arvegosa feels like she couldn't really say that she knows something unless she studies it thoroughly.

Like some of her kind, Arvegosa craves knowledge, she loves studying and always wants to learn more. She has a great memory and rarely forgets things or people. For some people she also holds grudges for a long time.

Arvegosa thinks that as a dragon it is her duty to help protect the people of Azeroth, even after Cataclysm she doesn't want to rest and continues to fight for her world, no matter who wants to threaten her and her people this time.

Arvegosa bonds really strongly with people, she is loyal to a fault to those she deems as friends and would do anything to help them.

Arvegosa enjoys joking with people and pulling pranks on them, she makes sure they never cause actual harm. She is usually a cheerful woman.

Arvegosa is very proud of her students, she takes great care in teaching them and often writes letters to those who left Dalaran, curious how they are doing.

Combat Style: Arvegosa is a master of magic, she can cast plenty of spells very quickly to overwhelm her opponents, she uses magic both in her visage and draconic form. She prefers to avoid getting hit, but when fighting in the draconic form she uses her body to cover her allies. She also uses flight to avoid getting hit when in draconic form. She rarely uses her talons to fight, preferring to use magic.
