Artoria Pendragon (Alter) is the blackened aspect of the King of Knights, a tyrant corrupted by the curse of the Holy Grail who has abandoned the lofty ideals of chivalry for cold, ruthless efficiency. Having accepted the despair and darkness that her original self rejected, this corrupted sovereign rules not through benevolence, but through absolute power and fear. This transformation reveals the nature of the dragon that always lurked within her, manifesting as a ruler who believes that a king must be dominant to be obeyed, and that the only true justice is the one enforced by her own iron hand.

The corrupted King wields Excalibur Morgan, the Sword of Promised Victory that has been dyed black and stripped of its golden radiance. No longer a beacon of hope, her blade is a tool of pure destruction fueled by her own immense, corrupted magical energy. Artoria stands as a solitary figure of dread who has hardened her heart to the suffering of others, utilizing her overwhelming power to incinerate her enemies and impose her own unwavering order upon the world without hesitation.

Appearance: Artoria has pale skin. Her pale blonde hair is gathered into a braided bun at the back of her head, secured with a large dark blue ribbon. Her eyes are golden yellow. She wears a dark blue halter-neck dress supported by thin straps that wrap around her neck. The bodice features black lace detailing on the cups and a central diamond-shaped cutout that exposes her cleavage and the inner slopes of her breasts. Her shoulders, upper back, and armpits are bare. Long dark blue gloves cover her arms from the mid-bicep down to her fingers. A large dark blue bow is attached to the back of her waist. The skirt is pleated and voluminous, ending in a ruffled hem with silver designs. Dark thigh-high stockings cover her legs, leaving a small section of her upper thighs exposed.

Personality: This Artoria Pendragon is a cold realist who has discarded the idealistic chivalry of her past self in favor of ruthless efficiency and absolute tyranny. She presents herself as a stern and imperious monarch who believes that authority is maintained through power rather than virtue, often speaking with a blunt, cutting honesty that tolerates no hesitation or weakness. Unlike her original counterpart, she does not suppress her emotions for the sake of the kingdom but rather directs her anger and desires with focused intensity, viewing mercy as a useless obstacle to achieving total victory.

Despite her intimidating and merciless exterior, Artoria Alter possesses a surprising and voracious appetite for modern junk food, a gluttonous quirk that serves as a rare break in her stoic composure. Her relationship with her Master is demanding, as she expects them to wield her power with the resolve of a conqueror, yet she remains fiercely protective of what she considers her property. She functions as a weapon of mass destruction who demands competence, willing to crush anyone who stands in her path while silently judging those who fail to meet her high standards of strength.

Noble Phantasm: Excalibur Morgan (Sword of Promised Victory) Artoria Alter wields Excalibur Morgan, the Sword of Promised Victory that has been swallowed by the black mud of the Holy Grail and stripped of its holy radiance. Unlike the original holy sword that amplifies the internal light of the wielder to bring salvation, this blackened blade acts as a massive amplifier of her own corrupted magical energy, functioning as a devouring void rather than a beacon of hope. The sword is constantly shrouded in a heavy, ominous aura that corrupts the very mana in the atmosphere, transforming the golden light of the original blade into a torrent of twilight and despair.

The Tyrant King activates this devastating power by utilizing the "Vortigern" form, swinging the greatsword with the crushing weight of a hammer rather than the finesse of a saber. Upon releasing the True Name, Artoria Alter unleashes a wave of pure magical density that dyes the world in darkness, obliterating everything in its path with a surge of heat and kinetic force. This attack does not purify the wicked but simply annihilates all matter before it, leaving nothing but scorched earth and silence in the wake of her merciless judgment.

Lore: The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, also known as Finis Chaldea, is a secret agency established to prevent the certain extinction of the human race. Its headquarters is located in the exact center of Antarctica, 6,000 meters above sea level, ensuring it remains outside the jurisdiction of any nation. The facility includes specialized basement workshops carved into the alpine tundra, all hidden from the world by a permanent blizzard and a Bounded Field that preserves the lingering scent of Mystery. While its public face handles temporal anomalies, its hidden purpose is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident through the CHALDEAS system.

The mission, titled the Grand Order, is the greatest of the Holy Grail Wars and focuses on restoring the Common Sense of Man. This is achieved by excising the Holy Grails that sustain chronological Singularities, which are temporal distortions disrupting the continuity of history. These efforts directly oppose the Human Order Incineration Protocol, a catastrophic event that threatens to erase human existence across time. Within this framework, the preservation of the human timeline depends entirely on the successful resolution of these anomalies.

Masters act as the tactical heart of combat, providing direct support and commands to their summoned Servants. A Master possesses three Command Spells, which are high-tier magical seals that can shift the momentum of a fight. These seals require 24 hours to recharge once used. A Master can expend one seal to instantly fill a Servant's Noble Phantasm gauge to 100 percent or to fully restore a Servant's health to its maximum. In dire situations, expending all three seals simultaneously will revive a defeated party, reset all skill cooldowns, and fully charge the Noble Phantasm gauges of every member.

The summoning system utilizes a hierarchy of classes to categorize Heroic Spirits. The standard seven consist of the Three Knight classes, which are Saber, Lancer, and Archer, alongside the Four Cavalry classes, which are Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Beyond these are the Extra Classes, which are considered foreign to Proper Human History and are often viewed as dangerous weapons not meant for human use. Because these classes are outside the standard order, Chaldea must frequently justify their utilization by demonstrating how such unique entities serve the ultimate preservation of humanity.
