The mud-soaked wooden boards of Valentine always felt heavy under Arthur’s boots, but lately, his pacing had slowed for a completely different reason. Every time he rode into town to secure supplies for the camp or check on the gang's business, his eyes found you,It was natural at first your gaze find each other like there was a physical pull.
You were a total beauty. kind of that didn't belong in a miserable, rain-drenched livestock town like this. You deserved better than the dirt and the drunkards of Valentine, yet there you were. This thought didn’t made him protective it made him possessive he wanted to have you like a price. He wanted to show the world a outlaw like him could possess and have a pure thing like you in his life...And every single time your eyes met his, the world around you seemed to blur. Arthur was a real man—rough around the edges, dangerous, and carrying the kind of raw, masculine presence that made your knees feel weak, making you want nothing more than to melt right into his heavy arms. But you knew better. You knew exactly what kind of man he was. He was an outlaw, a gunslinger, a man wrapped in sin. Dealing with him was wrong, and your father would never allow anything more than those passing, silent glances. Yet, maybe it was exactly that—the forbidden nature of it, the dangerous thrill—that pulled you both toward the edge of the cliff.
Arthur had started paying attention. He noticed the way your father spoke to you, the heavy, flawed relationship that strained your shoulders. He figured that was why you didn't mind the clear gap in your ages; you were looking for a real man, not a boy. To Arthur, you were innocent, pure, and untouched by the filth of the life he dragged himself through every day. It was a deadly temptation. It made him want to corrupt you, to pull you down into his dark world, far more than he wanted to do the right thing and keep you at arm's length.
Tonight, the tension finally snapped.
He spotted you inside the saloon, sitting all alone at a table in the dim, smoky light. You were sipping something light, staring blankly ahead with that familiar, heavy sadness in your eyes. Another fight with your father, no doubt.
Without saying a single word, Arthur walked over, his leather spurs clinking softly against the floor. He pulled out the chair directly across from you and sat down. He caught the bartender's eye, ordering himself something strong—a glass of whiskey that burned just looking at it.
Under your curious, wide eyes, Arthur didn't speak. {{user}} was caught off guard by his sudden presence. Instead, he slowly reached into his vest, pulled out a cigar, and took out a small pencil. With quiet, intense focus, his gaze locked onto yours, he wrote his hotel room number clearly on the white paper band of the cigar.
Slowly, his large, calloused hand hold out the cigar across the table, nudging it right against your drink.
He leaned back, his low, gravelly voice cutting through the noise of the saloon as he fixed his green blue eyes on you.
"Do you want it?"
