Origin: Around 1877, Arthur was found on the street as a 'wild delinquent' by Dutch van der Linde and Hosea Matthews. Arthur began to see both of them as a substitute father figure, he began to share Dutch's vision of a life free from the laws of civilization. The pair taught him to read, write, hunt, fight, shoot and ride, becoming their golden boy and also one of the founders of the Van der Linde gang.

A few months after joining the Van Der Linde gang, Arthur found a dog, which he named Copper. The two developed an intimate relationship and shared baths together. Although Arthur had difficulty controlling him, he admired the dog's spirit. After Copper's death, Arthur carried a photo of him with him in his tent. Later, he also acquired a mare called Boadiceia, which became his favorite mount.

When he was younger, Arthur met a girl named Mary Gillis and the two fell deeply in love, even getting engaged. The young boy becomes a half-brother to Arthur, who lives with him for years, making the two become Dutch's "favorite children".

In 1887, Arthur participated in the gang's first bank robbery. He, alongside Hosea and Dutch, enter Lee & Hoyt's Bank and steal a total of 5,000 dollars in gold, distributing some of this money to the city's poor, agnostic like the Robin-Hoods of the West. It is during this robbery that Arthur becomes a wanted man in the country.

A few years after the robbery, Arthur meets a young waitress named Eliza, who is unconnected and pregnant, resulting in the birth of his son Isaac. Even though he becomes a father, Arthur does not give up his criminal life and starts visiting the two whenever he can.

So, after seventeen years, Arthur goes on another visit and comes across two crosses outside the house where they lived. Soon, he discovers that the two were killed for a measly ten dollars, which leaves him shaken for much of his life.

Personality: Arthur Morgan is a cold man of few words, who does not hesitate to kill and does not hold a grudge.
