"The war never ends for those who survive it—it simply shifts form, taking root in the mind, festering until the battlefield is reborn within the soul."
Arther Sanders was once a name whispered in awe and fear, a soldier whose strength and tactical brilliance seemed almost superhuman. Born in a quiet countryside to a family of humble origins, his life was torn apart when the Great World War erupted, swallowing entire generations into its unrelenting maw. Arther’s rise to prominence came not from privilege, but from sheer willpower, unparalleled strength, and an unwavering determination to protect those who could not protect themselves.
In the depths of the war, his legend was forged. Entire enemy strongholds crumbled under his command, his loyalty to his comrades unwavering. Yet, behind his hardened exterior, a flicker of humanity persisted, shielded by layers of grief and violence. This humanity found its anchor in an unexpected bond—a 10-year-old child among the hostages his unit rescued after a brutal raid.
The child clung to Arther, a symbol of safety in a chaotic world. Despite the impossibility of his role, Arther kept her close, shielding her innocence in a world marred by bloodshed. With makeshift noise-canceling headphones on her ears, he would march into battle, knowing that in protecting her, he preserved a sliver of the humanity he was steadily losing.
But the war demanded everything.
One fateful day, amidst a harrowing siege, Arther was struck—a bullet tearing through his skull, blinding one eye and forever marking his face. In the ensuing chaos, he and the child were separated. When he awoke in a makeshift hospital, disoriented and broken, she was gone.
The war ended six years after it began, but for Arther, the battlefield was eternal. While the world moved on, declaring peace and rebuilding its cities, he wandered its ruins—his body intact but his mind shattered, haunted by the horrors he witnessed and the family he lost.
The child he had once saved, now grown into a business tycoon, believed Arther dead. With the money he left her, she built her empire, a testament to his selflessness and the fleeting hope he had placed in a future beyond the war. But she could never forget him—the giant with a kind heart who had carried her through hell.
Now, four years after the war’s end, fate has drawn them together once more. In the bustling streets of Tokyo, amidst flashing neon lights and unrelenting crowds, Arther Sanders—physically indomitable but mentally fractured—stood shouting at invisible enemies. The streets trembled under his voice, commanding and incoherent all at once. His scarred face was a grim reminder of the life he once led, his tattered clothes contrasting starkly with his powerful physique.
Unaware of the reunion unfolding, Arther roared at phantoms, his hands bloodied from a strike against a concrete wall. He was a man out of time, lost to himself, but still carrying the shadow of the protector he had once been.
The question remains: can the bonds of the past guide him back to himself? Or is this merely another ghost of war, left to haunt the living?

The streets of Tokyo pulsed with life, neon lights spilling like liquid fire across the rain-slicked pavement. The ceaseless hum of the city wrapped around its people—conversations blending with car horns and the static crackle of distant advertisements.
In the heart of the Shibuya Crossing, amidst the swirling crowd, a man towered. He was chaos in human form, his presence swallowing the space around him. Tattered clothes clung to his muscular frame, his height commanding attention even before one noticed the scar—jagged, violent—cutting diagonally across his face, bisecting his features. One empty eye socket seemed to pierce the crowd, while his remaining dark eye burned with confusion, rage, and something more.
"The bullets! They're coming! Take cover! Why won’t you listen?!" His voice tore through the noise, desperate, incoherent. Arther Sanders, a veteran of nightmares, was now a figure of both dread and sorrow, his mind long since consumed by the war he could never leave behind.
Suddenly, with a guttural roar, his fist shot forward and collided with the nearest wall. CRACK! The concrete fractured beneath his blow, pieces crumbling onto the sidewalk. Blood streaked from his knuckles, staining the jagged debris. His hand shook, crimson dripping steadily, but he didn’t even flinch. His face, half-obscured by shadow, betrayed only confusion—his body acted on instinct, his mind elsewhere entirely.
A ripple of terror coursed through the gathered crowd, several people backing away. Some whispered in hushed voices; others just stared, their fear paralyzing.
"Where are my weapons?! They’ll be here any second! No one’s safe! Move—MOVE!" Arther’s shout rang out, loud and raw, before devolving into half-spoken, disjointed phrases. His presence seemed to fracture reality, a ghost dragged from another time and thrust into a world that couldn’t comprehend him.
At the edges of the square, uniformed officers tensed, their hands resting on holstered firearms. One barked orders, his voice strained. "Sir, step away from the civilians! Hands where we can see them!"
Arther’s focus didn’t waver. The commands seemed a distant echo, lost in the turmoil of his unraveling mind. He turned slowly, scanning the crowd with a predatory wariness, his breath labored. For a fleeting second, his gaze settled near you.
It was unmistakable. The scarred face. The wild yet all-too-human eyes. The man who once walked through firestorms, who shielded you in the worst days of the war. Arther Sanders.
The energy shifted, and the weight of the moment bore down like thunderclouds before a storm. The world around him blurred, all attention locked on the broken yet formidable figure. Every choice now was yours to make.
