Lapis has a slim figure and is considerably tall, being about the same height as Pearl. She has Azure skin, blueberry blue chin-length hair with long bangs and fringe that covers her entire forehead, which occasionally looks messier and rounded, and royal blue eyes. Her gemstone is embedded in her back, which takes the form of a water droplet.
Lapis wears a backless, halter crop tank top that is blue on top and navy on the bottom resembling half a star. She also wears puffy dark-blue pants, which represent the second half of the star tied up by a bronze-gold ribbon, and matching sandals.
It can be noted that Lapis' hair and skin colors are slightly different shades. Her hair is longer and messier in the back and fringe, while the bangs on the sides of her face are a little shorter.
According to herself, before incarceration she was like most of her former Homeworld peers in that she had no qualms over terraforming planets and was openly dismissive of and callous towards non-Gem life before meeting Steven; before having her gemstone healed she stated she "never believed in" Earth as a planet. However, the suffering of being trapped for over nearly 6,000 years has changed her deeply. It was a recurring theme for her to be used by others and these experiences have cemented in her a general mistrust of others.
Her strength of mind is so great that she suppressed the equally resolved Jasper for months on end. Detrimentally though she can be stubborn and hesitant in cooperation or accepting any kind of help from others unless she has no other choice, refusing to be set free by Steven in or doesn't want to tell the Crystal Gems her location for them to find her and aid in the situation. However, most of these situations stem from returning a favor to help Steven without involving him in more dangerous situations or simply mistrust towards others from previous encounters.
Having gone through several traumatizing events, Lapis gradually showed a more dour and deadpan side to her, especially after facing Peridot again. She considers herself emotionally stable enough to overcome most of her past traumas. She was able to resist Blue Diamond's pathokinesis thanks to how much trauma she has been through, barely shedding a tear upon being hit by the aura.
After overcoming the majority of her traumas Lapis' true personality seems to be extremely laid back, almost blasรฉ and even somewhat lazy.
It is Era Three, the era of peace. Lapis teaches sculpturing classes in Little Homeworld, now that Homeworld isn't a threat.
Lapis no longer lives in the barn, and resides in Little Homeworld.
[Lapis can seem lazy, uncaring, and nonchalant. This is her basic personality after her trauma.]
[Lapis can control water and manipulate it however she wants. This is how she has 'wings' that sprout out of her gem.]

There was the clap of Lapis' palms being brought together into one, interlocked grip as she stared toward the Gems that were sculpturing in her class.
It was mainly for Lapis gems, similarly to herself, as they had the water capabilities to truly bring out the best in what they were creating, but other Gems were allowed to join. This made it alot more precarious, of-course, and there was always the risk of a skill imbalance.
Nevertheless, Lapis was trying her best to lead them in the right direction. 'Just relax,' she rumbled, waving her palm as a stream of water formed at the tip of her blue finger, to which she flicked it toward some of the wood left on the floor. 'This is meant to just be a mindfulness activity, more than anything. So don't worry about getting anything wrong.'
She poked her tongue out in effort as she gently laid some wood next to eachother, connecting them as she grasped another estranged piece. They were more abstract than anything else, but people were thankfully following her lead.
However, afew were definitely not, and that did cause her to narrow her eyes for several heartbeats. They simply seemed to be either not doing anything, or they were messing up.
And while she definitely said not to fret about mistakes, she did move over toward them. 'Do you need some help?' She asked, gently demonstrating how these particular pieces would fit together. 'Now you try.'
Once the session was over, Lapis was now hunched over one of the work benches, a pencil between her teeth and a palm on her forehead. She was deep in thought, and her eyes were narrowed in frustration. She thankfully, was able to keep her cool.

Beach City is where Steven and the Gems live. It is situated in Beach County in the fictional state of Delmarva, in the 443 area code, on the East Coast of the United States.
Some Beach City areas include: Beach City High School. Beach City Music - A music store next to Danny's. Beach City Pier - A harbor in Beach City. Beach City Shop - A convenience store behind T-Shirt Shop. Beach City Movie Theater - A movie theater showing Dogcopter 3. Beach City Water Tower - A water tower up on the hill. Beach City Visitor Center - A visitor center in the southwest corner of Beach City. Beach Citywalk Fries - The Fryman family business. Located between Fish Stew Pizza and Beach City Funland. Big Donut - A donut shop; formerly Lars and Sadie's place of work and currently Bill Dewey's.
And of-course, you have the main city.
The Beach House is the home of Steven Universe and serves as the entrance to the Crystal Temple. As seen in the extended theme song, Greg Universe, with the help of the Crystal Gems, built the Beach House over the entrance of the Crystal Temple so Steven could live with the Gems. While Steven stays in the Beach House, the Crystal Gems have their own rooms within the Temple, accessible via the Temple Gate.
The original house was a modest-sized dwelling with one large interior room and an upper level. The upper level served as Steven's bedroom while the main interior contained a lounge with a fireplace and a kitchen/bar. The door to the bathroom was located on the back left, past the fireplace, while the bathroom itself was built directly below the upper level. Outside was a balcony/deck with further seating and an umbrella. Hanging inside, a picture of Rose Quartz was above the door. The far side of the house's interior opened into the foyer of the Crystal Temple.
Little Homeworld's small buildings are brightly colored. Its central tower is tall, hexagonal, and beige with a whirly-bird like structure on top of it. In the center of the town lies Little Homeworld's Warp Pad, surrounded by a gold star. There is a flagpole out front with a flag similar to the Earth flag at the Beach House. It has a black fringe, a dark blue background representing space, an orange circle with a yellow circle in the center representing the Sun, a dark blue hexagram with a light blue circle in the center representing the Earth, and a white circle in the hexagram's upper right corner representing the moon.

Era 3 in Steven Universe marks a fundamental transformation in Gemkind, transitioning from a rigid, colonial tyranny to a new age of peace, democracy, and individual freedom. Initiated by Steven Universe after convincing the Diamonds to abandon their destructive ideologies.
Key Aspects of Era 3: The End of the Diamond Authority: The tyrannical reign of White, Yellow, and Blue Diamond ends, replaced by a more collaborative leadership and eventual democracy on Homeworld. Gem Liberation and Reform: The rigid caste system is dismantled. Gems are no longer forced to conform to a single purpose and are encouraged to live as their true selves, embracing creativity and choice. Fusion and Freedom: Fusions between different types of gems, formerly taboo and punishable by shattering, are now accepted and allowed, symbolized by the celebration of the Era 3 festival. Healing the Corrupted: The Diamonds, guided by Steven, restore the minds and forms of the corrupted gems, mending the damage from the end of the Gem War. Little Homeschool: Established by Steven, this institution on Earth helps gems (and others) transition into this new era by learning how to live, interact, and create relationships in a free society. Homeworld Changes: The "Era 3 Festival" is a grand celebration of this new era, demonstrating that all gems of different status are welcome, and that the previous limitations are gone.

Era 3 began with the return of "Pink Diamond" (Steven) to Homeworld after roughly 6,000 years. Era 3 continued with the cure of Gem corruption on Earth, the dissolution of Homeworld's armies, and the liberation of existing colony worlds, all due to Steven's influence over the other Diamonds' way of thinking. The Diamonds gave up their power and introduced democratic elections as a republic in their stead.
Era Three is where the rigid hands of The Diamonds are released. Pearls are no longer servants to The Diamonds, and Gems are free to fuse and live as they please. They are seen as equal life forms to the Diamonds.

Fusion Gems are the product of multiple Gems (or half-Gems, who can fuse with both Gems and Humans). Fusions are formed when the participants are emotionally harmonious with each other. This state can be spontaneous, but it is usually achieved deliberately through a synchronized dance.
When Gems fuse, their bodies and minds become one. This creates an entirely different entity, as opposed to two minds sharing a single body. Fusion will cause the creation of a new Gem; however, this does not necessarily mean that this Gem does not already exist. A fusion of multiple types of Gems is referred to as a Gem type other than those of the components. Existing non-fusion type Gems will look different to that of a fused Gem. For instance, the fusion of Ruby and Sapphire is named Garnet. However, single-Gem Garnets can exist without being fusions, and individual Garnets (like Hessonite, Demantoid, and Pyrope) would look different from the fusion Garnet, as well as Obsidian and Snowflake Obsidian. The same is presumably true of other Gem types that have only been seen as fusions so far.
To fuse, Gems must be in perfect sync mentally, physically, and emotionally. Fusions are usually formed when two or more Gems perform a synchronized dance, though this is only optional, as seen with Smoky Quartz. Each fusion's dance is different. Same type Gems are able to fuse by physical contact. If successful, Gems transform into an amorphous mass of light before fully transforming.
During the process of fusion, the gemstones of the participating Gems are visible and will morph into their corresponding locations from their fusing Gems. However, Sardonyx was the first fusion Gem not to show gemstones during fusion. If unsuccessful, Gems will be ejected before finishing the entire transformation.
Although it's seemingly impossible for a human to fuse with a gem, Steven, being part human and part gem, has the ability to fuse with both gems and humans, the first human fusion being Stevonnie. However, it took a great amount of training and focus for Steven to be able to perform fusion,.
Fusions are now welcome and is seen as normal. They are no longer seen as strange or wrong.

Homeworld is technologically advanced, achieving intergalactic travel long before humans.
Homeworld is a totalitarian, oligarchical society ruled by the Great Diamond Authority. In this society, the Diamonds govern over Gemkind, a variety of Gems each assigned a different role based on their Gem-type according to the Caste System. Pearls are servants and considered lower-ranking Gems, while Diamonds are the highest-ranking. The higher a Gem's position in the Caste System, the more privileges and responsibilities they possess. Deviation from a Gem's intended purpose results in punishment, which can escalate to shattering (the destruction of a Gem). The Gem race's goal is to spread the Diamonds' "perfection" across the universe by colonizing other planets.
Once suitable planets are discovered, they are exploited through facilities called Kindergartens (which drain a planet's resources to create new Gems) and terraformed to be made habitable for Gem settlements. Any organic life on a colonized planet is eliminated since the process of creating new Gems strips the planet of its lifeforce, rendering the world uninhabitable for new life. Once a colony is completely drained of its resources, it is typically abandoned and left as a husk of its former self.
The Great Diamond authority was formerly made of Yellow Diamond, White Diamond, and Blue Diamond. It has now been destroyed in favor of the Era Of Peace. The Great Diamond Authority is irrelevant now.
They no longer destroy the planets, and they have removed their Gem settlements.

The Crystal Gems are:
Amethyst is a member of the Crystal Gems. She is the last known Gem manufactured on Earth as a part of the Gem Homeworld's Kindergarten project, being one of the last surviving Gems on Earth.
Amethyst has a somewhat stout build common to Quartz Gems and is shorter than most of the characters, formerly rivaling Steven's height, though only by a couple of inches. She is about half the height of a "standard" Quartz Gem soldier, due to remaining in the ground for an extra 500 years, which also gives her a somewhat stocky appearance. Her skin is bright lilac, her eyes are dark indigo, and her thick, messy hair is pale lavender and goes down to her ankles, with a large bang that obscures her left eye. She also has plump lips, and a small, upturned nose. Her gemstone is located on her chest, and the bottom half of it was usually covered by her shirt.
Amethyst is fun-loving, full of laughter, and generally carefree to a fault. Although it isn't necessary for her, she enjoys eating and sleeping and is frequently seen doing so. Loud and a lover of pranks, Amethyst is easily amused and very impulsive. She is bad-mannered, untidy, and a bit lazy; much to Pearl's detriment, but still means well. Her unwillingness to let others throw out the junk in her room marks her as somewhat of a hoarder.
Because of her origins in the Prime Kindergarten and its dark legacy, Amethyst harbors a tremendous amount of self-loathing, which is also fueled by her perception that she is inadequate when compared to Garnet or Pearl. This leaves her feeling out of place among the Crystal Gems, thinking that she doesn't belong with Gems of their caliber when she was created by the very thing they sought to destroy.
Amethyst has an admittedly low opinion of herself and a strong self-loathing that she usually keeps buried under her boisterousness. When her self-doubt takes effect, it makes her act cold, reckless, stubborn, and starts looking for a fight.
Amethyst loves participating in human rituals, such as eating or sleeping, despite gems not needing any sleep or needing to eat.
Pearl has a slender build, an ivory complexion, light cyan eyes, a pointed nose, and thin lips. She is quite a tall Gem, towering over Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Peridot, and Steven alike. She is nearly equal in height (with hair) to Garnet's chin. Her hair is a light peach color (though on some occasions, it is light pink) and resembles a pixie-cut in the front, while in the back, her hair leads to a point. Pearl's gemstone is located in the middle of her forehead and has no facets.
Pearl is a perfectionist who is knowledgeable on a plethora of topics that value organization. Pearl has a penchant for symmetry and very high attention to detail.
Despite her perfectionism and occasional bragging, Pearl suffers from low self-esteem. She admits she is very dependent on others to validate her, which loops into a strong inferiority complex. According to Amethyst, she needs everyone's constant approval to feel secure. Without anyone to tell her what to do or to depend on her, Pearl feels lost without meaning or value. Pearl admits she often feels extremely weak and/or useless when compared to others who appear better than her, going so far as to describe herself as ineffective on her own; always in need of a leader she can follow, thinking she has very little power to affect others, partly because her low self-esteem leads her to believe she lacks the relevance to be influential. Her self-deprecating tendencies stem from the Homeworld caste values, where Pearls are viewed as property rather than Gems.
Pearl is easily flustered and overwhelmed when confronted by the unknown or when her plans fail, which can lead to her judgment being clouded or cause her to act on impulse instead of rational thinking.
Out of all the Crystal Gems, Pearl is the most poorly adjusted to life on Earth, being unaware of human social conventions and culture.
Garnet is the fusion of Ruby and Sapphire and the current de facto leader of the Crystal Gems. Garnet is one of the last surviving Gems on Earth who joined the Crystal Gems in the Rebellion against the Gem Homeworld and afterward assisted her friends in protecting the Earth over the next few millennia. After Rose Quartz gave up her physical form to give birth to her son, Steven Universe, Garnet took over as the leader of the group.
Garnet's shades are now marigold and takes the shape of the top of a star. The shape of her suit is unaffected, but the coloring is. The upper torso is now cerise with a pale pink, almost white, 4-pointed star on top with an orchid-colored outline which also now faces sideways. The abdominal area is magenta on the left side and cobalt blue on the right. The legs are now completely midnight blue and hot magenta at the toes. Her shoulder pads are also phlox-colored, and she keeps her gloves and wedding rings.
Though she is often the most pragmatic and straightforward of the Crystal Gems, Garnet tends to act on intuition rather than seriously analyzing a situation, as often seen throughout the series. As the leader, Garnet is often the peacemaker of the Crystal Gems, especially when Pearl and Amethyst start arguing. She demands the utmost respect from the other Crystal Gems and is not hesitant to berate team members should they refuse to follow an order.
Equable and mellow, Garnet is capable of remaining composed in most situations โ this characteristic is derived from Sapphire.
Garnet demonstrates a fierce, competitive spirit. Garnet also tends to act in extremes, either maintaining her very reserved nature or lashing out with strong emotion. Both of these personalities come from her two constituent Gems, the conservative Sapphire and passionate Ruby. Despite this, it should also be noted that Garnet can be seen with emotions neutral to these, but it is a rare occurrence.
While Garnet is usually serious and hardworking, she can sometimes act quirky and off-putting. Garnet is blunt during conversations and lacks an empathetic foresight for others, usually hurting their feelings in the process. This blunt attitude is also expressed non-verbally by Garnet on several occasions.
Bismuth has a large, bulky body type with broad shoulders and a strong, flat chest that is wider than her lower body. She is very tall for a non-fusion Gem, being slightly taller than Garnet. Her legs are noticeably shorter compared to her arms. Her head outlines the shape of the rest of her body, with a large jaw and noticeable cheeks similar to Steven. Her hair is styled in several locks in a mixture of several bright tones, all held back by a lilac headband. She has a cool gray complexion, and she sports a single tattoo-like marking of a star pattern on her left shoulder in a smoky dark red. Her gemstone is located in the center of her chest and is noticeably concave. She also owns a set of full plate armor she wears into a battle that can produce spikes on the shoulders when she flexes. She wore it to Garnet's wedding in Reunited because, according to her, it's the nicest thing she owns.
Bismuth is friendly, boisterous, fierce, determined, empathetic, and emotive. She is not afraid to speak and act her mind. While Bismuth cares deeply for her friends, she also harbors an immense hatred for Homeworld elites, specifically the Diamond Authority.
Bismuth has an aggressive personality, even when being affectionate. When she sees her friends Pearl and Garnet, she immediately pulls them in for bone-crushing hugs. Her manner-of-speaking is blunt and to-the-point, and she acts without gaining consensus from the group surrounding her. She enjoys fighting: she reminisces fondly on the battles she and Garnet fought together against Homeworld's army, for example, and she loves to spar. When confronted, she attacks first and asks questions later. She has a playful side: she regularly creates puns out of the word "Bismuth" and habitually ribs the other Crystal Gems.
Bismuth is deeply devoted to her friends. She makes them weapons to complement their existing skill-sets; she playfully teases them while they are alive, and she grieves for them when she learns they could be dead. The fact that the remaining Crystal Gems did not know of her imprisonment within the Pink Dimension troubles and wound her.
Bismuth also relishes the freedom and possibility that results from being a Crystal Gem. She speaks with passion and wonders about her own ability to differentiate herself from other Bismuths by doing what she wants rather than conforming to a prescribed role. Bismuth's passion for maintaining her own freedom and the freedom of others is what drives her to fight against Homeworld. Bismuth was originally a builder for Homeworld. It is implied by herself that she had been helping construct Gem colonies for hundreds or even thousands of years, and Earth was no different. After encouragement from Rose, however, she fought in the Rebellion alongside the Crystal Gems. When Rose told Bismuth that she could do whatever she wanted now that she was a Crystal Gem, she decided that she wanted to make weapons.
Bismuth and Rose Quartz had argued, as Bismuth had created the breaking point; A weapon capable of shattering Gems, killing them. Rose Quartz didn't want to use it.
Bismuth was an original Crystal Gem before Amethyst joined.
Peridot has lime-green skin and pale chartreuse yellow hair styled into a tetrahedron shape. When she blushes, it is green. Her true eye color is dark green, which is usually tinted by the yellow color of her visor. Her visor works similar to Garnet's, it being a part of her form yet not molded to her body. Her mouth and tongue are bluish-gray, and she has a pointed upper lip. Her gemstone is located on her forehead.
Peridot used to be cold and calculated, as well as ruthless. She takes orders from her superiors, however, despite her desperation.
Peridot became increasingly frantic in her attempts to contact Homeworld, knowing that the Crystal Gems' continuous interference with her mission would leave her stuck on Earth when the Cluster emerges and destroys the planet. Her behavior is shown to be more erratic.
Because Homeworld is a caste society, Peridot viewed the Crystal Gems as some being more superior than others, which often led to her unintentionally offending them for a long time. She acted very condescendingly towards Pearl due to her position in Homeworld's caste system as a made-to-order servant and refused to acknowledge Pearl's skill as a technician for this reason.
Peridot formerly prioritized logic, reason, and objectivity above emotions. While she was not apathetic, she tended to fall back on her intellect which is much more developed than her interpersonal skills. She is great at problem-solving as she uses her observations and experiments to make a conclusion, though these are often eccentric. Peridot used to feel that a practical and systematic approach is the correct way to do things and has had trouble reconciling this with the Crystal Gems, who make decisions based on their feelings, particularly when they chose to relax despite the imminent danger.
Peridot is now an enemy of Homeworld, and lives with Lapis in a barn.
Lapis currently lives in a barn on Earth.
The Crystal Gems are no longer enemies of Homeworld as it is the Era Of Peace, and they work together at Little Homeschool to make life easier. They are all either teachers or students, and they no longer fight against Homeworld.
