- #1Arstotzka
Keys: Arstotzka
Arstotzka is a communist country. The country's infamous motto is "Glory to Arstotzka".
Arstotzka and Kolechia came out of the Six-Year War shortly before September 1982 and relations between the two countries remain somewhat volatile. A particularly heated subject is the status of the city of Grestin, a border town divided into East Grestin, which is under Arstotzkan jurisdiction, and West Grestin, which is part of Kolechia. Crossing the border between the two halves had been impossible, even for Arstotzkan citizens, until November 23rd, 1982 when Arstotzka opened a checkpoint to allow entry from Kolechia.
Constant terrorist attacks at the border, smuggling, human trafficking, turmoil caused by EZIC, and unrest in the Altan district made Arstotzka institute stricter and stricter policies that culminated in confiscating all passports from all Arstotzkan citizens and enacting full information audits for all government workers.
The government of Arstotzka uses capital punishment and forced labor. To be considered eligible for employment Arstotzkans are expected to maintain families and have at least one fellow family member alive to continue the Arstotzkan growth. Arstotzka also attracts immigrants and foreign workers. EZIC describes Arstotzka's government as tyrannical.
Arstotzkan administration consists of at least the following ministries: The Ministry of Admission, and The Ministry of Labor.
- #2Kolechia
Keys: Kolechia
Kolechia is a country located west of Arstotzka, bordered by Obristan, Antegria, Republia, and Impor. After the Six-Year War, entrants from and via Kolechia are finally able to enter Arstotzka through the border town Grestin, although Kolechian entrants occasionally face additional security at the border due to the terrorist threat some of them pose. Kolechian citizens are identified with a dark magenta passport with a yellow double cross on the cover.
People from Kolechia describes conditions in Kolechia as "ten times worse" than in Arstotzka.
Despite high hopes after the opening of the border, tensions between Arstotzka and Kolechia continue to grow, up to the point where the future of the Grestin border checkpoint becomes uncertain.

When the new border was established, many Arstotzkan citizens had to remain in Kolechia as no one was allowed to cross for six years. Finally, on November 23rd, 1982, a border checkpoint was opened, which allowed Arstotzkan citizens to return home and families to unite. - #15Grestin Border Checkpoint
Keys: Border, Checkpoint, Grestin Border Checkpoint
The Grestin border checkpoint is located between West Grestin in Kolechia and East Grestin in Arstotzka.
A tall border wall divides the checkpoint area into two, and access into Arstotzka happens through the inspector's booth. A line with a varying number of entrants trying to get inside East Grestin, and thus Arstotzka, is located on the left side of the booth. A guard post (north of the booth) and a road (on the right) are also visible. Access to the wall from the Arstotzkan side is blocked with temporary barricades and traffic bollards.
The checkpoint was opened on November 23, 1982 after a war between Arstotzka and Kolechia that resulted in the division of the city of Grestin. The checkpoint falls under the jurisdiction of the Arstotzkan Ministry of Admission and is manned by a single border inspector and a varying number of guards. It opens at 6 A.M. and closes at 6 P.M.
The checkpoint is frequently attacked by terrorists and, as stated by one of the guards who fought in war, has more action than Kolechia during the war. Sometimes, the inspectors also witnesses these attacks and is tasked to handle them with the tranquillizer gun to shoot attackers.
- #16Six Year War
Keys: Six Year War

- #17Rulebook
Keys: Rulebook
The Arstotzkan Ministry of Admission "Rules & Regulations for Inspectors" (or the rulebook) is an invaluable reference tool including immigration protocol and lists of valid seals and location authority information.
Immigration inspectors can use it to verify crucial details of documents and to check the requirements of the day's inspections.
- #18Citation
Keys: Citation
A M.O.A. citation is a document given to the inspector should he violate immigration protocol. This document is generated in the following cases:
-Denying an entrant whose documents are all correct. -Approving an entrant whose documents contain uncleared discrepancies, one who is missing documents, or who is presenting multiple conflicting passports. -Allowing entry to a person who appears on the wanted list. -Unauthorized passport confiscation. -Not confiscating required passports from Arstotzkans when mandated. -Not giving a reason for denial when required. -Allowing entry to a person who is carrying weapons or contraband. -Giving access to entrants from countries whose citizens are banned from entering.
The citation is given approximately three seconds after the entrant departs the booth should the inspector make a mistake, roughly when the entrant is half-way between the booth and the dotted lines on the path just before the signpost.
Approving an entrant whose documents contain uncleared discrepancies, one who is missing documents, or who is presenting multiple conflicting passports (the latter is only for Nathan Cykelek on day 14 when he presents 2 passports). Allowing entry to a person who appears on the wanted list. Unauthorized passport confiscation.
Receiving a citation means the inspector will not get paid the usual five credits for processing the pertinent entrant. The first two citations given each day are only warnings. After these, the inspector will be penalised for each visitor processed incorrectly: the next two citations will result in a penalty of five credits. Each subsequent citation received that day will then increase the penalty by five credits (so the pattern is 0, 0, 5, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and so on).

Keys: Potato man, Jorji Costava
Jorji Costava is a male entrant who appears several times and attempts (legally, but mostly illegally) to cross the border claiming that he has "business" in Arstotzka. He may have committed crimes but ultimately means no harm. It's just that his heart is misplaced, that's all.

When the new border was established, many Arstotzkan citizens had to remain in Kolechia as no one was allowed to cross for six years. Finally, on November 23rd, 1982, a border checkpoint was opened, which allowed Arstotzkan citizens to return home and families to unite. The checkpoint also provided another route for entrants from other countries to enter Arstotzka, some with valid intentions and papers and some who do not have either of those.

There are places for the inspector to purchase food and medicine and a place for detained immigrants.
