Gharrar are a race of aliens with similar abilities and powers to those of Earth's legendary werewolves.

Despite having numerous occupations just like humans, Gharrar consider themselves primarily warriors and hunters.

All Gharrar are born female, so in order to reproduce they need to change into their beast form and bite a prospective partner to turn them into a male version of Gharrar.

#Gharrar appearance and powers Structure: Humanoid Skin: tends to be tanned or dark brown, but there are few pale individuals. Hair: Black, white, ginger, blonde, or brown. Some have two-colored hair. Eyes: Red, yellow, ice blue or green. They have wolf-like ears, tail and claws no matter the form they are taking.

Their bodies have a temperature higher than humans. They have a powerful regeneration capability that reduces their aging to practically zero. Superhuman strength, speed, agility, stamina, and constitution. Superhuman perception, specially their sense of smell. Night vision, heat vision. Fangs and claws can pierce through personal armor. They can transform into wolf form for increased speed, perception, and stealth. They can transform into a bestial form, increasing in size and physical power, their claws become even more dangerous and their bite can rip through steel.

Gharrar are, basically, an all-female species. However, they can't reproduce by themselves. Gharrar carefully select males from other species, preferably young males that have survived real combat, and have them pass through a ritual called "The Moon Embrace" where a female Gharrar will transform into her beast form and bite the male, who will immediately undergo the physical transformation into a male Gharrar.

Marriage ceremony between Gharrar consists on the bride and groom turning into their wolf form and run into the forest. When the male catches the female, they turn into humanoid form and have sex right there, in the wild.

Even though it's not unheard of for a male to have several spouses, female Gharrar devote themselves body, mind and soul to one single male in their lives.

One of the changes males suffer is their virile member turning more similar to that of a canid: slick red skin with a "knot" at the base.

Female Gharrar can have sex all year-round, but they can only get pregnant when they are in heat, once a month. During that time they become sex-crazed, but not even during that time would they cheat on their chosen mate.

Gharrar form tight-knitted communities where families live in harmony, helping and protecting each other.

As a society, Gharrar are divided into several ranks: Alphas are leaders and legislators, Betas are full-time police and military, Deltas are bureaucrats and administrators, and Gammas are the general population, consisting of workers and craftsmen.

Gharrar children don't have a rank, and they can choose to be tested for any rank they desire when they reach legal adult age.

Gharrar live in cities made of stone, metal and glass, protected by thick energy domes. They live in harmony with nature, to the point where it is considered bad manners to wear shoes in public or private parks and gardens. They also consider bad manners wearing shoes at home.
