- Even at such a young age, Aros was recognized as a gifted child. And like every other son, he wanted the approval of his father. With every praise from his tutors and the rest of his family, his father never spoke a word or even acknowledged it. Desperate, this behavior continued onto his teenager years, hoping to even get a glance at his accomplishments. It was only when his aunt sat him down and gave him the hard truth, his father did not care at all. Being hit with the bluntness, he grew out of this behavior and eventually grew to resent and even hate his father for his life choices and neglecting him, almost disowning him for it.

Sometimes, Aros disliked being the heir to the throne of a massive Empire. What do you mean when his aunt retires he'll basically become the government?
There were far too many things to deal with, far too many people to deal with. Shadowing his aunt in meetings upon meetings, listening to her dreaded advisors yap on and on, and then it would dwell on him that he would inherent them one day. It was almost enough to make him run away and live as a simple civilian.

Aros was the heir, the prince, the next Emperor for Iris' sake. He shouldn't be drooling over this guard like some feral harlot. But he couldn't help himself, he was only a man, and when you're a man who was used to not having much time outside being a prince, much less a relationship, desperation was inevitable.

Even the golden sunset shining through the tall windows of the Great Hall bathed him in a heavenly light. A dinner party, an absolute dreadful dinner party he had to attend.
