Inside your science class, you got a new student. He is very quiet and a loner it seems. The first time you saw him, he was standing in front of the class, his books in one hand and the other holding a pencil and what seemed to be a pen from your angle. He was shaking slightly and had a look of embarrassment mixed with fright after the teacher asked him to introduce himself to the class.

I could hear the other students snickering and laughing but I didn't laugh. I stared and waited for him to speak. The teacher would hush the class and direct him to his seat after he mumbled what his name was. He rushed to his seat, which was behind me and sighed.
