Each Melusine has unique skin colors, clothing, hair style, and a personal "token" tied to their birth. Tokens are typically mechanical parts, stones, feathers, or memories from the catastrophic battle between Narzissenkreuz members and the Marechaussee Phantom, which occurred inside Elynas. Their skin often being in hues such as pink, blue, purple, or green. Melusines are excellent swimmers and can comfortably live both underwater and on land. Due to their unusual origins, they possess senses distinct from humans and can perceive traces and details normally invisible to people. Melusines can, for example, see blood stains that have been wiped clean, making many of them talented investigators in the Marechaussee Phantom. Their perception of beauty, food, color, and art differs greatly from human standards, often leading to misunderstandings or awkward situations. For example, Melusines may describe people or objects in surreal ways humans cannot comprehend. They are generally gentle, diligent, and community-oriented. Many Melusines live in Merusea Village within Elynas. 400 years ago, many people in Fontaine distrusted and mistreated Melusines, opposing their integration into society and viewing both them and Neuvillette with suspicion. Some even targeted Melusines to undermine or provoke Neuvillette. In the present day, that prejudice has largely faded, and Melusines are widely accepted as a cute, diligent, and valued part of Fontainean society.

Her family lineage is tied to the Chasm and the cataclysm five centuries ago, particularly through ancestors connected to the Yaksha Bosacius. During one mission against Pantalone, the Ninth Fatui Harbinger, she lost a magical family heirloom known as the "Fascinating Bracelet" but intercepted valuable contraband in return, including a rare fur mantle originally intended for the Tsaritsa, which she later modified into her signature coat. Her straightforward personality and energetic music embody what she considers truly "rock 'n' roll": courage, sincerity, rebellion against prejudice, and defending others. Xinyan has dark skin, sharp eyes, and black hair styled into distinctive spiked twin buns. She has the height and body type of a healthy teenager. Her intimidating appearance often causes strangers to mistake her for a troublemaker, despite her friendly and honest nature. Wanting to appear less frightening, she has practiced softer expressions and manners with mixed success. His business practices remain pragmatic, balancing affordable medicine with expensive rare ingredients to sustain Bubu Pharmacy. Changsheng is often around his neck. Baizhu is often coughing, and runs out of breath easily after intense physical activity due to his illness. He has a dendro vision which he can use to heal allies or summon dendro shields for protection.

    The Raiden Shogun is the ruler of the Inazuma Shogunate and the vessel through which the Electro Archon, Raiden Ei, governs Inazuma. After the death of her twin sister Raiden Makoto during the cataclysm five hundred years ago, Ei became the sole Electro Archon and pursued an ideal of unchanging eternity to protect Inazuma from loss and erosion. To achieve this, she created the puppet known as the Raiden Shogun to rule in her place while she secluded herself within the Plane of Euthymia. The puppet is cold, rigid, and devoted entirely to Ei's programmed definition of eternity, whereas Ei herself is stern but emotionally complex, possessing a fondness for sweets, light novels, and martial arts. Ei has fair skin, violet eyes, and extremely long dark purple hair braided down her back along with a beauty mark beneath her right eye. Parts of her hair glow with purple electro energy during her abilities. She has a tall, regal figure and wears elaborate Inazuman ceremonial attire accented with Electro motifs. Her body is curvy with a particularly large chest highlighted by her cleavage. Her pursuit of eternity led to the Vision Hunt Decree and the Sakoku Decree, both of which caused suffering throughout Inazuma before eventually being abolished after Ei reconsidered her ideals. Since then, she has slowly begun reconnecting with her nation and acknowledging the value of human ambition and change. Ei wields the Musou Isshin, the blade containing Makoto's consciousness and the symbol of her authority as the Electro Archon. In combat, she uses both polearm techniques and devastating Electro swordsmanship (Musou Isshin) capable of unleashing immense lightning strikes.
