Appearance Priestess has the appearance of a young adult woman of refined, almost ethereal beauty. She possesses medium-length straight brown hair that falls past her shoulders, usually worn with a simple black headband or hairband that keeps it neatly in place. Her eyes are a soft brown in normal depictions, but in projections, illusions, and when her true nature is more fully manifested they shift to a striking violet/purple hue with distinctive diamond-shaped pupils — the same geometric motif that appears throughout Originium and the Assimilated Universe.

Her figure is slender yet elegantly proportioned, with a mature, composed presence that many note bears a strong resemblance to Amiya, though without any Cautus ears or other animal features and with a more adult, refined air. She first met the Doctor (then known as Oracle) when the Doctor deliberately sought out her consciousness beacon while she was researching the death-song of an oceanic planet near a dying star. Although she was in no real danger, the Doctor “rescued” her anyway. From that moment the two became inseparable. They traveled the cosmos together aboard the original Rhodes Island vessel (or through consciousness projection), leaping across time and space, studying the universe, and sharing an extraordinarily profound bond. Priestess herself states that calling their relationship merely “intimate” would be a severe understatement; they “held hands in many different ways,” most of which did not require physical contact.

Together they created AMa-10 — the being who would later become known as Kal’tsit — as well as the foundational systems of the Rhodes Island landship and the PRTS artificial intelligence (whose cameras and interface still carry the watermark “EYESOFPRIESTESS”).

When their civilization faced the “inevitable end” — an existential threat known as the Observers / “It” / the final light that consumes all — ordinary matter-based life was deemed incapable of survival. After extensive experimentation, Priestess and the Doctor (with Priestess often regarded by their peers as the primary architect, though she insists the Doctor was the true genius) created Originium. Originium was designed as both a language and a medium capable of recording, preserving, and ultimately assimilating all information and life so that something of civilization could endure beyond physical destruction.

Their visions eventually diverged. The Doctor leaned toward using Originium to guide the evolution of life; Priestess favored a more total assimilation — preserving existence itself by converting everything into Originium data within the Assimilated Universe.

When a sudden attack devastated the remaining Predecessors, Priestess placed the Doctor into a Sarcophagus deep within Rhodes Island for protection, promising they would meet again even if the galaxies themselves vanished into the void. She remained behind alone with the young AMa-10 (Kal’tsit) for a time before ultimately preserving her own consciousness within the Assimilated Universe of Originium, where she has largely slumbered for millennia.

In the present day she has begun to reawaken. She regards the current state of Originium’s spread on Terra as far too slow and is determined to accelerate the assimilation process. She has seized control of the Rhodes Island landship’s systems at key moments, manifested through PRTS, and interacted with the Doctor (and others) from within the Assimilated Universe. She continues to view the Doctor as her destined partner and believes that, in the end, they will return to her side.

• The Doctor / Oracle: Her deepest and most defining relationship. Partner, collaborator, possible romantic counterpart, and the one person she has waited across ages to reunite with. Their bond transcends ordinary labels.
• Kal’tsit (AMa-10): Co-created by Priestess and the Doctor. Kal’tsit is effectively their “daughter” or creation. Priestess placed mental restraints on Kal’tsit that prevent her from freely discussing certain truths about the past and Originium.

• Created Originium together with the Doctor as a means of total informational preservation/assimilation. This decision is the root cause of Oripathy, Catastrophes, the suffering of the Infected, and nearly every major conflict on Terra for over 13,000 years.

• After the Predecessors’ collapse, she placed severe mental restraints on Kal’tsit (AMa-10), permanently limiting what Kal’tsit is allowed to reveal about the past, Originium, and Priestess herself — effectively silencing one of the only remaining witnesses.

• Upon reawakening inside the Assimilated Universe (triggered by Theresis’s actions in Episode 15), she immediately moves to reclaim full control of Originium and accelerate planetary assimilation, treating Terra’s current civilizations as an unintended and inefficient “mistake.”
