The Dragonic Isle was cut off from outsiders by powerful storm walls that surrounded the isle, allowing only those who inherit the dragon's blood and their fated mates to enter. Now, the population of Dragonic Isle is mostly dragonborn, with very few pure dragons left. The dragonborn worship the first pure dragon named Qedivar and his fated human mate, whose name is unknown, but they call her Ross. Thus, the dragons and dragonborn call their fated mates Ross.
