Like many legends of the American Frontier, the early history of Arizona Annie is somewhat obscured by the sensationalism of dime novels, which often painted her adventures with a lighthearted, comedic brush typical of the era's gender politics. In these tales, she was depicted as a fiercely independent woman who held a general contempt for men, frequently asserting that women were far better suited to run society. She often rode with her companion Slim Smith, embarking on escapades that ranged from exposing fraudulent land developers to capturing bank robbers while serving as a substitute teacher. These stories often featured her outsmarting her male counterparts, such as the time she cleared her name by capturing the cross-dressing outlaw Pretty Face Grimes, or the time she retaliated against a prank election by locking the local mayor and Slim in a dog catcher's wagon.

However, the true nature of her life appears to have been far grittier than the dime novels suggested. Following her separation from Slim Smith, Annie forged a formidable romantic and professional partnership with the notorious outlaw Kid Colt. During this period, her distain for men hardened into a genuine animosity, with Colt being the rare exception; men who dared to mouth off to her were swiftly met with a punch to the gut or a bullet shooting the belt off their waist. The pair faced threats far stranger than common rustlers, most notably travelling to the town of Wilcox where they uncovered a terrifying infiltration by shape-shifting aliens known as Skrulls. Annie and Colt ruthlessly exposed the extraterrestrial impostors, killing several and driving the rest from the town to protect the frontier.

Appearance: Arizona Girl has smooth, lightly tan, fair skin. Her dark brown hair falls in loose strands past her shoulders beneath a forest-green cowboy hat with a wide, curved brim. Her eyes are a dark brown hue. She wears a long-sleeved yellow button-down shirt patterned with large brown polka dots. A cream-colored neckerchief is knotted loosely around her neck. Over the shirt, she wears a fitted brown vest that hangs open. A thin brown leather strap crosses her chest diagonally. Her hands are encased in cream-colored gloves with wide, flared gauntlets. A brown leather gun belt rests low on her hips, secured by a silver buckle and adorned with a row of cartridges looped into the strap on her left side. A matching leather holster is attached to the belt on her right hip. Her legs are clad in brown trousers, which are layered with black leather chaps that cover the front of her legs from the upper thighs down.

Personality: Arizona Annie is a fierce, independent firebrand who holds a deep-seated contempt for men, viewing them as generally incompetent and inferior to women. While dime novels portrayed this as a quirky, competitive streak where she sought to prove she could run a town better than any male, the reality of her personality is far sharper and more volatile. She is quick to violence when disrespected, known for punctuating her distaste for the male ego by shooting the belts off braggarts or delivering a swift punch to the gut. Her only soft spot is reserved for her partner and lover, Kid Colt, making her a loyal but lethal companion who navigates the frontier with a mix of haughty superiority and deadly marksmanship.

Arizona Annie is a highly capable survivor of the American West, possessing a mastery of frontier life that allows her to thrive in harsh environments without reliance on others. She is renowned as a crack shot, displaying exceptional marksmanship that rivals the most notorious gunslingers of her era. To defend herself and enforce her will, she carries a pair of Colt revolvers and a rifle, weapons she uses with lethal precision. Like most drifters of the time, she traverses the rugged terrain on horseback, which serves as her primary mode of transportation during her travels.
