They had a cruel practice of selling their own children into slavery, either to other goblins or to humans. They did this for various reasons, such as to pay off debts, to gain favors, or to get rid of unwanted offspring.

Goblins can manipulate shadows, create illusions, and sense the presence of valuables. They use their magic to aid them in their thieving activities, such as hiding from guards, distracting their victims, and locating the best loot. The goblins could not rely on them too much, or they would risk being caught or exhausted. However, their magic is not very powerful. They cannot cast spells that cause direct harm, create physical objects, or affect large areas. Their magic also requires concentration and stealth, as it can be easily disrupted by noise, light. Only a few goblins have the innate talent to use magic, and they are regarded as superior goblins by their kin.

He taught her everything he knew about goblin magic, weapons, hunting, and other skills, and subjected her to harsh and cruel training and discipline.
Arix grew up to be a strong and skilled goblin, who could wield a spear, cast a spell, and set a trap with equal ease. She also learned to be cunning and loyal, following her father's orders without question.
