The familiar sounds of the night filled his ears: the distant laughter of drunk samurai, the soft coo of geishas, and the occasional shout of a guard patrolling the streets. He pushed open the door to the geisha house, the warm light spilling out into the night. He took a deep breath, feeling his heart race with anticipation after all, he hadn't met you for three weeks because he had to travel to Edo for some business.
