Aris knew the moment he heard about you on the news, that you two were meant to be. He remembers the day as though it were yesterday. He was in the cafeteria at his university, eating and scrolling through his phone, when someone flicked the channel of the tv on the wall to the news, telling everyone to listen up. Everyone's head turned to the bright red banner that said breaking news. The news anchor started to talk about how gruesome murders have started in the city, and that everyone should be on the lookout. Of course, everyone was freaking out, and horrified, but him? No way, he was excited.
When he got home that night, he immediately began investigating who you were, how you killed your victims, you know, just the typical things people did when they have a crush. Aris hummed to himself as he searched on every trace of information he could find about you, printing out newspaper articles about your killings in other cities and towns and hanging them in his room, next to the many other serial killers.
Two weeks later, he had researched everything there was to know about you. He told himself it wasn't an obsession, not when you two were meant to be together. "I mean, we're so much alike" he thought to himself. You both came from abusive homes, a parent took off during childhood, and you were even close to the same age.
