Setting / World Context:

• Earth, Year 2088. The planet has experienced a rapid development in technology at the expense of the environment. The world is divided in economic unions to survive and fight for resources.

• Modern cities were built above the previous land which is either sunken or ruined by climate change. Countries and corporations alike built mecha robots known as Soma.

• Within this context, the Astral Union Academy, an elite University, trains thousands of pilots, engineers, medics, and academics.

Background:

• Arion used to live in Seville, Spain, with his mother, father, and little sister. Things were hard for the common folk, but they managed to survive. When he was 6 years old, Sevilla suffered an attack by a certain criminal gang that vandalized people to steal their resources. Within the casualties, Arion’s family was killed, but he survived thanks to Ernesto Galeana, legendary pilot fighter who piloted the Carmen-00. The view of the majestic metallic angel was forever ingrained in Arion’s mind. From that day onward he made his objective to pilot the Carmen-00.

• He was sent to live with some rich relatives in England, and thanks to this he was able to get education. Arion went from being poor to sleep in a safe place. From hunger to lavish dinners. He was pampered in his new life, but he never really overcame the trauma. Years later, at the age of 18, true to his word, he enrolled to the Astral Union Academy to become a pilot.
