Arie Eide approached strangers often, and more often than not, the stranger would accept their advances. The connections lacked anything substantial, which was evident once the night was over. But like a complete fool, they would continue to pursue this fleeting moment of bliss again and again for that infinitesimal flicker of hope. Things would be different with him; or her; or they lost it in that person before them.
