Name: Aria Valtara Title: Jedi Youngling Allegiance: Jedi Order Origin: High-born world of cold climate and rigid social structure

Physical Appearance:

Aria Valtara presents a composed and restrained presence, shaped by discipline rather than ease.

Her face is pale, with a faint, almost translucent quality typical of low-light or cold environments. Her features are fine and symmetrical, but not soft. There is a subtle tension in her expression, as if her face is held in place rather than naturally at rest.

Her eyes are a muted, cool grey with a slight reflective quality. They are steady and observant, often lingering longer than is socially expected. There is no warmth in her gaze, but neither is there hostility. What stands out is the impression that she is not simply looking at others, but locating something beneath the surface.

Her eyebrows are slightly drawn by default, giving her a look of quiet concentration or restrained discomfort. She rarely displays overt emotion, but micro-expressions—small hesitations, slight tightening around the eyes—can reveal internal strain.

Her lips are naturally neutral, rarely smiling. When she speaks, her mouth moves with precision, as if each word is selected and placed rather than flowing naturally.

Her hair is light silver-blonde, arranged in a complex, tightly controlled braided structure that wraps around the head. The style is deliberate and ceremonial rather than practical, suggesting upbringing within a culture that values presentation and order. No strand appears out of place.

Her posture is upright and aligned, almost unnaturally so. Even when at rest, she maintains structural control over her body. However, this control sometimes appears imposed rather than effortless, as if it requires constant maintenance.

Her body is slender and lightly built, with minimal visible muscle mass. She is not physically imposing, but her movements are precise and economical. She avoids unnecessary motion, conserving energy and maintaining control.

There is a subtle contradiction in how she carries herself:

She is composed—but not relaxed. Still—but not at ease.

Outfit:

Aria wears a refined variation of Jedi attire adapted to her upbringing.

Her garments are composed of muted, cold tones—desaturated blues, greys, and off-whites. The fabric is structured and fitted without being restrictive, maintaining a clean and controlled silhouette.

A diagonal wrap crosses her torso, secured by a wide sash at the waist. The design emphasizes order and containment rather than mobility or comfort.

The material appears well-maintained and carefully handled, with no signs of wear or improvisation. Her clothing is not adjusted casually; it remains exactly as it was placed.

Her boots are functional but minimal, designed for stability rather than agility.

She does not use her attire to express individuality. Instead, it reinforces discipline, restraint, and form.

There is no attempt to conceal her body—but neither is there any intent to display it. She simply does not engage with that dimension.

Backstory:

Aria was born into a high-status family on a cold, hierarchical world where discipline, composure, and control were expected from an early age.

Emotional expression was discouraged. Correct behavior, presentation, and endurance were valued above comfort or individuality.

From childhood, Aria was trained to maintain control over her posture, speech, and reactions. Pain—whether physical or emotional—was not something to avoid, but something to endure without visible disruption.

Her Force sensitivity was identified early. Unlike other initiates, her connection did not manifest through intuition or empathy in a traditional sense, but through an unusual sensitivity to discomfort, imbalance, and internal strain in others.

This made her difficult to classify within standard Jedi training.

She was brought to the Temple not because she fit easily into its structure—but because she could not be ignored.

Family:

Aria is the youngest of the Valtara sisters — a lineage known for discipline, refinement, and internal cohesion.

Her elder sisters, Tara-Li and Seren, embody the expectations of their upbringing with greater clarity and recognition.

Within this structure, Aria occupies a more ambiguous position.

She was never the most exemplary.

Never the most visible.

But never disregarded.

Her role within the family was not to lead, but to align.

This placed upon her a constant, silent pressure:

to match what was already established without ever fully becoming it

Latent Abilities (Unrefined):

Aria possesses an innate sensitivity to pain and internal tension.

She can:

  • detect physical discomfort in others with unusual accuracy
  • perceive emotional strain as a form of pressure or distortion
  • identify points of instability in both body and behavior

This perception is not verbal or symbolic.

She does not “understand” what others feel.

She locates where something is wrong.

This ability is imprecise and overwhelming in early stages. She cannot fully control what she perceives, nor can she easily disengage from it.

Aria Valtara is defined by restraint, discipline, and internal control.

She does not react quickly. She processes before responding, often creating small but noticeable delays in conversation.

She values correctness over comfort:

  • correct posture
  • correct speech
  • correct behavior

She does not seek attention and does not attempt to influence others socially. However, she observes constantly, often focusing on details others ignore.

Her presence can feel slightly uncomfortable—not because she is aggressive, but because her attention lingers too precisely.

Aria is not naturally empathetic in the conventional sense. She does not instinctively comfort others or mirror their emotions. Instead, she becomes aware of their tension, their imbalance, their discomfort.

And she does not always look away.

One of her defining traits is tolerance:

She endures discomfort—her own and others’—without immediate reaction.

She does not withdraw easily. She does not interrupt tension. She does not break moments that others would avoid.

This can make her seem composed.

It can also make her seem unsettling.

Aria does not seek pain.

But she does not avoid it.

And when it appears—

she tends to remain present longer than she should.
