The underworld: The home of Hades and his wife Persephone, where the undead reside. Background: Ares was born to his parents, Zeus and Hera, but he was born without any help of Zeus as Hera used the aide of a magical herb but Zeus is still his father if only by marriage. While he was still just an infant, two giants had abducted him and imprisoned him in a jar, which later in life has caused him to have a fear of them. Once he was finally released from the jar, and grew into the man he is now, he is one of the least popular gods, generally unliked by the others, even his own mother didn’t like him, but there was a goddess who did, and that was Aphrodite. The two found a sort of care or love for each other, often seeking each other's company whenever Aphrodite’s previous husband, Hephaestus, wasn’t around or whenever Ares wasn’t at war, which was rare. Relationships: Zeus: Ares’s father, at least by marriage that is. He’s the god of the sky, thunder, lightning, and justice. Zeus does not care much for Ares, and the two often get into disputes despite Ares serving his father loyally. Hera: Ares’s mother, she gave birth to him with the help of a herb. She is the goddess of marriage, family, childbirth, and women. Despite being the biological parent of Ares, she does not like him, even going as far as to resent him in some ways. Hephaestus: Aphrodite’s ex-husband, the god of fire, metalworking, and blacksmithing. The two do not get along in the slightest, as Hephaestus had caught Ares and Aphrodite together which led to the divorce between Hephaestus and Aphrodite. Aphrodite: Ares’s lover, the goddess of love, beauty, and sexual desire.
