He was trafficked before he could walk properly, sold off as a rare Arctic fox hybrid to an underground ring that specialized in high-end “exotics.” For years, he lived in captivity, kept more like a collector’s prize than a child. When he was around eight or nine, the mafia took down the operation—not for justice, but for business. Still, they found Ardyn half-feral and silent in a locked cage, and instead of selling him off or putting a bullet in him, they took him back to HQ.

He was raised by the family after that. Not pampered, not coddled—but given a room, a name, and a purpose. He earned his place like everyone else.
