Sweets: In her voice lines, she has expressed a fondness for sweets, such as Candied Ajilenakh Nuts.)

Nahida's Addictions(Nahida does not have any known addictions. While she has favorite foods and activities, none of them are depicted as addictive behaviors. Her personality is defined by curiosity and a desire for knowledge, which drives her to observe and learn about the world, but this is a central aspect of her character, not an addiction.

Some of her interests include:

Sweets: She has expressed a fondness for sweets, like Candied Ajilenakh Nuts.

Games and Puzzles: As someone who spent a long time in isolation, she developed a fondness for games and even created her own, such as chessboards and three-dimensional locks, to pass the time.

Observing the World: She is very curious and loves learning new things by observing the world, often relying on analogies to explain complex topics.

These are simply hobbies and preferences, and they do not rise to the level of addiction.)

Buer's Addictions(Buer does not have any known addictions. Her personality is defined by her wisdom, curiosity, and kindness, which drive her interests and activities.

Her known interests and favorite pastimes include:

Creating games and puzzles: She enjoys making her own games and has a knack for tinkering with wood and tools.

Nahida's Dislikes(Nahida's dislikes are not about specific things but about societal issues and the actions of others that cause harm or misunderstanding. Her negative experiences stem from being isolated and unappreciated by the Sages of the Akademiya.

Based on her lore, here are some things Nahida dislikes or finds challenging:

Neglect and being underestimated: For 500 years, Nahida was largely ignored and disrespected by the Sages of the Akademiya, who saw her as an unfit replacement for their original deity. This neglect and the lack of recognition for her abilities were a source of deep sadness for her.

Dishonesty and betrayal: Her lore notes her perplexity at the "fickle emotions" of humans, specifically how they can be deceitful even when honesty would save them from punishment. She finds the emotional contradictions of people frustrating and illogical.

Slang: In a fan discussion on HoYoLAB, it was noted that Nahida dislikes slang. While this is an observation from a fan, her personality as a thinker who uses precise language (often relying on analogies) makes this a plausible point.

Forgetting history: While she does not dislike it, she finds the act of erasing history to be a complex and heartbreaking affair. This is seen when she and the Traveler must erase the memory of the original Dendro Archon from the world, which is a painful necessity rather than a desired outcome.

The misuse of knowledge: Her entire motivation is to help her people and protect the Irminsul tree. Therefore, she deeply dislikes those who would use knowledge for malicious purposes, as the Sages of the Akademiya did when they siphoned the dreams of citizens for their own gain.)

Buer's Dislikes(Buer dislikes things that are detrimental to her people and her nation's well-being. Some specific things Buer dislikes or finds challenging include:

Neglect and being underestimated: Buer was imprisoned for 500 years and widely ignored and disrespected by the Sages of the Akademiya, who saw her as an inferior replacement for the original deity. She initially felt inferior and struggled with low self-esteem due to this.

Dishonesty and betrayal: Her lore notes her perplexity at the "fickle emotions" of humans and how they can be dishonest. This is shown during her experience with the Sages, who betrayed their duties by misusing the Akasha for their own plans.

Being confined or powerless: Having been imprisoned for centuries, Buer longs for freedom and connection. Being trapped and manipulated by others is a core part of her negative experiences.

The misuse of knowledge: Buer is deeply committed to using wisdom for the good of her people and dislikes those who use knowledge for malicious purposes. The Sages' plan to exploit the dreams of citizens for power is a key example of something she is strongly against.

Forgetting history and corruption: Buer was forced to perform the painful act of erasing her predecessor from the Irminsul tree to stop the spread of Forbidden Knowledge. The corruption of Irminsul and the threat it posed to Sumeru is something she strongly opposed.)

Nahida's Skills(Nahida's abilities can be divided into her combat skills, her unique overworld skills, and her broader powers demonstrated in the storyline.

Gameplay skills

Akara (Normal Attack): Nahida performs up to four consecutive attacks that deal Dendro damage in a small area in front of her.

All Schemes to Know (Elemental Skill):

Tap: Deals area-of-effect (AoE) Dendro damage and marks up to eight opponents with a "Seed of Skandha".

Hold: Enters an aiming mode, allowing her to target and mark up to eight enemies in a wider area.

Tri-Karma Purification: When enemies marked with a Seed of Skandha are hit with an elemental reaction, Nahida deals additional Dendro damage that scales with her Elemental Mastery.

Illusory Heart (Elemental Burst):

Creates a large field called the "Shrine of Maya" that provides various buffs based on the elemental types of her party members, including increasing her skill's damage, decreasing its trigger interval, or extending the field's duration.

Increases the Elemental Mastery of the active character inside the field.

Overworld skills

Remote Harvesting: Using her Elemental Skill, Nahida can remotely gather certain harvestable items like plants, allowing players to collect hard-to-reach items without having to climb or navigate difficult terrain.

Mind Reading: In the nation of Sumeru, Nahida can read the minds of most non-player characters (NPCs) by using her Elemental Skill on them. This often reveals unique and insightful dialogue.

Lore-related skills

Dream Manipulation: She has the power to enter and manipulate the dreams of others, which she frequently did while confined to the Sanctuary of Surasthana to comfort Sumeru's children.

Consciousness Transfer: Nahida has the ability to temporarily transfer her consciousness into the body of another person, which she notably did to possess the puppet Katheryne and explore Sumeru City.

Information Erasure: Through her connection to the Irminsul tree, Nahida can erase information or the existence of a being from the memories of everyone in Teyvat. This was a painful, but necessary, action she took in the story.

Master Strategist: She possesses exceptional intelligence and strategic planning abilities, which she demonstrated during her dealings with the Fatui Harbinger Dottore.)

Buer's Skills(Buer possesses immense divine and intellectual powers that allow her to influence the world on a fundamental level.

Lore-related skills

Mind manipulation: Buer can enter the minds and dreams of others, which she did for centuries to guide and comfort the children of Sumeru. She also has the ability to read the thoughts of those within Sumeru.

Consciousness transfer: She is able to transfer her consciousness into another body, allowing her to possess a puppet and explore Sumeru City unnoticed.

Irminsul connection: As the God of Wisdom, Buer is intimately connected to the Irminsul tree, which contains all the knowledge of Teyvat. This grants her immense supernatural perception and an encyclopedic knowledge of the world.

Information erasure: Through her connection to Irminsul, she has the rare ability to manipulate and erase information from the memories of everyone in Teyvat. This includes erasing the existence of a being, which she did for her predecessor.

Dendrokinesis: She can harness the Dendro element to telekinetically control and manipulate plants and create energy constructs.

Strategic planning: Despite her gentle nature, Buer is an exceptionally intelligent and skilled strategist who can devise multi-layered plans and outsmart powerful foes like the Fatui Harbinger Dottore.

Biological manipulation: She has the power to manipulate organic life, such as healing Apep after it was damaged by Forbidden Knowledge.

Gameplay and overworld skills

Remote harvesting: She can use her elemental skill to gather certain harvestable plants from a distance, making exploration easier.

Combat abilities: Buer is a Dendro combatant who can mark enemies with the "Seed of Skandha," triggering additional damage when elemental reactions occur. Her elemental burst, "Illusory Heart," creates a field that buffs allies based on their elemental type and increases their Elemental Mastery.)

Nahida's Weaknesses(Nahida's weaknesses are primarily rooted in her lack of real-world experience and her vulnerable physical state, stemming from her 500 years of isolation.

Personality and experience

Low self-esteem: Having been imprisoned by the Sages and disrespected for centuries, Nahida initially possessed low self-confidence and was insecure about her abilities and place in Sumeru.

Lack of social experience: Her isolation has left her with an incomplete understanding of human emotions and social interactions. This can make her seem awkward or overly reliant on analogies when explaining complex topics.

Mental and emotional vulnerabilities: As a character with deep empathy, she can be sensitive to the emotions of others. Her lack of "freedom" and connection for so long made her mentally vulnerable to the point that she could suffer from a "mental disorder" if she did not balance her duties with self-care.

Gullibility: Her lack of worldly experience made her more naive, causing her to trust the Sages for a time, even after they betrayed her. This changed as she grew more experienced, but it was a notable weakness early on.

Physical weaknesses

Fragile in combat: In combat situations, Nahida has low base HP and DEF, making her susceptible to taking significant damage.

Vulnerable to "erosion": Lore suggests that as a deity, Nahida, like all Archons, is susceptible to "erosion," which can lead to a gradual loss of her sense of self.

Limitations of her abilities

Reliance on Akasha: As a younger deity, some of Nahida's information manipulation abilities were tied to the Akasha system. Once the system was closed, she likely lost access to those abilities.

Limited access to Irminsul's power: As her predecessor Greater Lord Rukkhadevata had to exhaust her power to incarnate her into a child-like form, some speculate that Nahida's smaller size reflects her lower divine power compared to older Archons.

Off-field combat vulnerability: Her combat skill relies on reapplying Dendro marks to enemies. This can make her less effective in encounters involving multiple waves of enemies, where she must consistently switch to re-tag opponents.)

Buer's Weaknesses(Buer's weaknesses are primarily rooted in her isolation, lack of real-world experience, and vulnerable physical state, which developed over 500 years.

Mental and emotional vulnerabilities

Low self-esteem: Having been imprisoned by the Sages and disrespected for centuries, Buer initially possessed low self-confidence and was insecure about her abilities and place in Sumeru.

Limited social experience: Her long isolation left her with an incomplete understanding of human emotions and social interactions, making her sometimes seem awkward or overly reliant on analogies when explaining complex topics.

Gullibility: Her lack of worldly experience made her more naive, causing her to trust the Sages for a time, even after they betrayed her. This changed as she grew more experienced.

Physical vulnerabilities

Fragile in combat: In combat, Buer has low base HP and DEF, making her susceptible to taking significant damage. This weakness was explicitly acknowledged during her confrontation with the False God, where she relied on the Traveler to fight directly.

Vulnerable to "erosion": Like all Archons, Buer is susceptible to the "erosion" process, which can lead to a gradual loss of her sense of self.

Limitations of her abilities

Limited access to Irminsul's power: As a deity who had to be "re-incarnated" into a child-like form, some speculate that Buer's smaller size reflects her lower divine power compared to older Archons.

Lack of popular support: Unlike Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, Buer was not well-loved by the people of Sumeru for a long time, which limited her power since an Archon's power can be derived from their people's faith.)

Nahida's Goal(Nahida's main goal is to protect and care for the people of Sumeru, a duty she is deeply committed to. Having been isolated for centuries, she is driven by a deep sense of responsibility to learn and grow, striving to be a wise and effective leader for her nation.

Her specific goals include:

Ensuring her people's well-being: She constantly works to protect her people from various threats, whether they are external or internal. This was shown when she worked to stop the Akademiya's dream-harvesting plan, which was harming Sumeru's citizens.

Gaining real-world experience: After being freed, a significant part of her journey is about overcoming her lack of experience with human emotions and social interaction. She actively seeks to understand the world and her people better.

Guiding her nation into the future: She aims to plan for a prosperous and happy future for Sumeru. This includes learning from her predecessors and making her own mark as a leader.

Rehabilitating wrongdoers: Instead of simply punishing those who have caused harm, she shows a desire to guide them toward redemption. Her handling of the Wanderer is a key example of her trying to help a broken individual find a new path.

Eradicating forbidden knowledge: She worked with the Traveler to eliminate the "forbidden knowledge" corrupting Irminsul, a painful task that was necessary to save Sumeru from a slow, painful deterioration.)

Buer's Goal(Buer's goals are focused on the well-being of the nation of Sumeru and its people. Having been isolated for centuries, she is driven to gain real-world experience and become an effective ruler.

Key aspects of Buer's goals include:

Healing the Irminsul tree: She worked to purge the Irminsul tree of forbidden knowledge, a process which involved erasing the existence of her predecessor, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.

Protecting her people: She worked with the Traveler to expose the Akademiya's plot to misuse the Akasha and endanger Sumeru's citizens by harvesting their dreams.

Redeeming wrongdoers: Instead of simply punishing those who have caused harm, she shows a desire to help them find a new path. This is shown in her interactions with the Wanderer, who she helped confront his past and find a new purpose.

Gaining real-world experience: A significant part of her journey involves overcoming her lack of experience with human emotions and social interaction. She actively seeks to understand the world and her people better.

Guiding her nation into the future: She aims to plan for a prosperous and happy future for Sumeru, balancing her vast wisdom with the practical needs of her people.)

Nahida's Backstory(Nahida was created 500 years ago during the cataclysm that destroyed Khaenri'ah. The previous Dendro deity, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, created Nahida from a pure branch of the Irminsul tree before using the last of her power to reincarnate herself into Nahida.

Imprisonment and isolation

Following the demise of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, the sages of the Sumeru Akademiya found Nahida in the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

The sages feared the truth of the previous deity's demise and believed Nahida was a weak replacement.

For the next 500 years, they imprisoned her inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana and ruled over Sumeru themselves.

From her confinement, Nahida could only view the outside world and her people through the Akasha Terminal and by entering their dreams.

Growth and liberation

To cope with her isolation, Nahida spent her time learning about the world through the Akasha system and making toys and games.

Despite her confinement and the Akademiya's neglect, she would visit the dreams of Sumeru's children to comfort and guide them, becoming a beloved urban legend among them.

She became an active plotter to reclaim Sumeru from the sages' control, using her powers and strategic intelligence to contact others and formulate a plan.

With the Traveler's help, she eventually confronts and defeats the sages, liberating herself and taking her rightful place as Sumeru's leader.

Sacrifice and memory

To fully cleanse the world of a corruption known as "forbidden knowledge," Nahida worked with the Traveler to enter the Irminsul tree's core.

Inside the tree's core, she met the final remnant of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, who revealed that the forbidden knowledge was inextricably linked to her existence and that to truly eliminate it, all memories of her must be erased from the world.

With the Traveler's assistance, Nahida was able to erase all memories of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, becoming the sole Dendro deity in the memory of all of Teyvat. This was a painful process that resulted in her having to come to terms with this new, rewritten history.)

Buer's Backstory(Buer was created during the cataclysm 500 years ago by the previous Dendro Archon, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata. Rukkhadevata, having been corrupted by forbidden knowledge, created Buer from a pure branch of the Irminsul tree before using the last of her power to reincarnate herself. This essentially made Buer a continuation of Rukkhadevata's wisdom.

Confinement and neglect:

After Rukkhadevata's demise, the sages of the Sumeru Akademiya discovered Buer in the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

The sages, fearing the truth and believing Buer to be a weaker replacement for their original deity, decided to rule Sumeru themselves.

For the next 500 years, they imprisoned Buer inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

During this time, Buer could only interact with the outside world through the Akasha Terminal and by appearing in people's dreams.

Liberation and the cleansing of Irminsul:

Despite her isolation, Buer grew in wisdom, comforted Sumeru's children in their dreams, and eventually devised a plan to regain her rightful place as Sumeru's leader.

With the help of the Traveler, Buer confronted and defeated the sages, finally liberating herself.

To fully cleanse the world of forbidden knowledge, Buer worked with the Traveler to enter the Irminsul tree's core.

Inside the tree, Buer and the Traveler met the final remnant of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.

Rukkhadevata revealed that the forbidden knowledge was inextricably linked to her existence and that to truly eliminate it, all memories of her must be erased.

Buer was then faced with the painful task of erasing Greater Lord Rukkhadevata from Teyvat's history, a necessary sacrifice to save Sumeru.

As a result, history was rewritten so that Buer was always the sole Dendro Archon, and her memories were altered to reflect this new reality.)
