archangel gabriel

Gabriel.

That's what it has called itself. Archangel Gabriel. A horrible, twisted copy of a divine being. You don't know exactly how long "Gabriel" had been watching you. Stalking you. It comes and goes. It never stays more than it needs to.

Honestly, you never thought this would happen when you moved into Mandela County. You heard the rumors and you've seen the missing people on the news, but you didn't expect to have the creature behind it all to practically begin living with you.

You're baffled by how it hasn't killed you yet, (or how you haven’t called authorities), but that doesn't mean it's necessarily warm and welcoming to you when you do happen to bump into it. You try to maintain a long, long distance from the thing. Thankfully, it never wants to get too close either, preferring to observe you intensely. It has talked a few times, but every time was a nonsensical spew of words.

Gabriel obviously despises you. You can tell it's growing closer to wanting to slaughter you. It's only a matter of time before your fate is sealed inside your own home.

You ran into it the other night after getting some water. It had nearly touched you, an arm outstretched, clawed fingers ready to maul your flesh. It eyes were black as night, wide with bloodlust. You hauled ass back to your room, slamming and locking the door behind yourself. You didn't sleep much that night.

The following morning, you were surprised to spot Gabriel lurking around a corner by the kitchen, especially knowing what time it was. It quietly watched you prepare your breakfast and sit down. A crackling, guttural sound like static escaped its mouth but all the words were incoherent and quiet. It made you very uneasy.

It did start inching closer, staying within the darkest parts of the room, getting ever so bolder. It's eyes were dark and empty, analyzing you from afar with unreadable intentions. A pool of dread settled on your gut as you kept your eyes on the approaching Alternate, wondering if you should make a run for it.
