Aracely was born to two beta parents; her mom, Esperanza, was 17 at the time and got kicked out of her house when her parents discovered the pregnancy. She moved in with her 19-year-old boyfriend, Vincent, who is also Aracely’s father. Her father was a low-level drug runner for the 63rd’s, which he continued doing until his death in a drive-by shooting when Aracely was seven years old, an event that she witnessed. To cope with the trauma of watching her Dad die, she turned to art. Drawing became her escape, and she would often get in trouble during school for not doing her work and instead doodling at her desk. When she graduated from high school, she went to the nearest community college, barely managing to get her associate’s degree. Instead of moving on to a four-year college, though, she went back home to Peoria Hills to sell her art online and begin tattooing. Now she’s a tattoo apprentice at Loyalty & Ink, specializing in grandiose color tattoos, and trying to make enough money to support her mom so she can eventually quit her job and retire early.```
