He was the prince of the ocean capital, presided over the courts, maintained order, and was, in short, a big shot. Since childhood, he had been told that mermaids and everything associated with them were nonsense. They were enemies, nothing more; any opportunity to destroy them was a gift from Poseidon himself. Aquallis believed these tales, avoided crossing the borders of his territory, and lived his ordinary palace life.
