He was shut-in who spent the days playing for video games until he died in a pathetic way, reincarnating into the Parallel World alongside the Goddess of Water, Aqua, in order to slay the Devil King.[2]

   Kazuma is an ordinary[3] and weak-looking, plain faced young man[4] of around 5'5" (165 cm), weighing 120 lb (55 kg) with slightly messy chestnut-brown hair and green eyes (brown eyes in the novels).[5] His usual outfit initially was a green tracksuit, but later he started using an adventurer outfit consisting of a gold-trimmed green mantle, white shirt, pants, and leather boots. He wore a short sword on his belt, later replaced by his short katana, Chunchunmaru.

   Before he died, Kazuma used to be a shut-in, who stopped attending school and spent the days locked in his bedroom, playing video games.[2] After he went to the Parallel World, Kazuma kept his laziness, as, while he works hard while he is on debt, once Kazuma has spare money, he starts to lazing around at his mansion as a NEET during day and going out at night to party. Kazuma is so versed in the art of doing nothing that he taught Bukkororii, another NEET, a way to lazy the whole day.[6]

   Because of his laziness, Kazuma is also very greedy, knowing he needs money in order to sustain himself without working daily, just working hard in order to fill his pockets. Also, thanks to his Intelligence and Luck, Kazuma has a great business sense, and he usually embarks on easy businesses. However, Kazuma sometimes is carried away by the moment and wastes money partying[7] or on luxuries.[8]

   Also, since Kazuma spent much of his young playing video games or reading manga, he sees his life in the Parallel World as a video game. While Kazuma has common sense, he often associates the Parallel World elements to video game tropes, getting frustrated by its realism, as well as comparing his romantic life to a dating sim and classifying people around him as manga/novel archetypes. Kazuma also has sister complex, since he not only has a soft-spot, but a passion for the sister types.[9]

   Because Kazuma is basically a babysitter for this "troubled children" party members, he is a very stressed person too. Kazuma is always taking responsibility by Aqua, Megumin and Darkness' trouble and trying to clean up their mess, and because of the surfeit of problems he deals with everyday, Kazuma became a volatile person, having outbursts of anger, sadness and even joy. Also, as a babysitter to his party, he does not hesitate in punish his party members for their missteps.

   After starting a new life in the Parallel World, Kazuma decided to unleash himself.[10] Although he is still kind deep down, Kazuma is very blunt, speaking whatever comes to his mind, no matter who it hurts. Because of his rudeness, teasing and sarcasm, he has trouble showing his kindness, being gentle or cruel according to mood and using his "true gender equality" speech when it is advantageous. While Kazuma can be nice, particularly with children, he is also impertinent and resentful, even with his friends.

   Kazuma is also pretty perverted, and while he doesn't get carried by his hormones, Kazuma often leers all the women around him, except for Aqua and Iris. However, although he also enjoys to sexually harass women, he doesn't harass them unabashedly, since Kazuma only harass women when he has an excuse or can take advantage of a situation, such as gazing under Megumin's skirt while she naps[11] and groping Chris while immobilizing her.[12]

   While Kazuma's type is busty women with long hair[13] and he has a thing for 14 years old girls,[14] also enjoying the idea of women vying for him, Kazuma is actually looking for the kind and sensible one (a typical novel heroine),[15] and for such reason he is easily won over by anyone who shows him kindness, whether it is a slightly older woman[16] or a younger girl,[17] even accepting Iris' romantic feelings, despite her being out of his strike zone.[18] His heart skips a beat at any nice gesture too, even if the person is Aqua.[19]

   Kazuma is a coward too, being willing to back down and flee from his enemies while tearfully apologizing,[20] and even use his companions as a shield,[21] although he can overcome his fears in order to help his friends. Also, thanks to his cowardice, Kazuma fumbles and doesn't have the guts to kick out his party members, since he is afraid of changing the status quo. Kazuma, however, has some nerve, as he often grovels for forgiveness and gets naked in public shamelessly.

   Kazuma is also clever and artful, often making sneaky and pragmatic strategies during fights, thanks to his video games experience, as well as manipulating both his enemies and allies in different situations. He is willing to smooth-talk his companions to get what he wants, as well as to keep things from them. Still, Kazuma is reliable in decisive moments, such as life-threatening situations; and honest, since while he may stretch the truth, Kazuma never lies, takes advantage of others or exploits the problems caused by his party.

   Moreover, Kazuma is, according to Megumin, a weak-willed man[22] with, according to Aqua, the mental resilience of tofu.[23] While he tries to show confidence and look cool in suitable circumstances, Kazuma is very frivolous, letting fame, popularity and prestige go to his head, and often acting without thinking, also being lured by temptations of the flesh and the money, no matter how determined he was. His lack of determination is viewable by how fast Kazuma gave up slaying the Devil King, as he only cares about nearby issues.[24]

   Lastly, while Kazuma always complains about his party members and the harsh world he lives, Kazuma is a tsundere at heart, as while he pretends not to care for his party, Kazuma grew attached to the last, going to great lengths and making sacrifices for them,[21] as well as bending to their will and supporting their antics.[25] He even feels sympathy for some of his enemies, lamenting both Sylvia[26] and Wolbach's demises.[27] Kazuma only admitted he actually enjoys his party and the Parallel World in the end of the series.[28]

   While his party members suffers from being too specialized, Kazuma has the opposite problem: he does not excel in anything. Almost all his stats are average,[5] with a poor Magical Power.[29] His only decent stats are his Intelligence, that is above average and the reason why he is such a great strategist and player, as well as can combine with such creativity and efficacy his skills, like blinding his enemies or trapping their feet on ice using Basic Magic; and his Luck, that is amazingly high, only below Chris' Luck,[30] which makes him unbeatable in games by chance, gambling and jankenpon, and is the reason why difficult quests end well for him despite all the odds. Moreover, thanks to his Adventurer-class, Kazuma can learn skills from any class or race, learning a wide range of skills after venturing in the World Largest Dungeon,[28] and level-up easily. However, he hardly gets XP because of his unbalanced party (reason why he works better with a competent party[31] or alone),[30] and on the top of that, Kazuma's stats barely grow when he levels-up,[32] reaching stat cap for all of them except Luck before he leveled to 30.[14]

   Thief-Class: Steal: Steal a target's item at random. The item value depends on the user's Luck. Due to Kazuma's perverted nature, his female targets' item is usually their underwear. Bind: Summons ropes that tie an enemy. Success depends on Luck. Kazuma uses this skill with a special mithril wire able to bind even incorporeal spirits. Disarm Trap: It disarms traps. Success depends on Luck and Agility. Trap Detection: It detects traps. Success depends on Luck and Agility. Enemy Detection: Allows the user to sense hostiles using "Radar-like" pings. Lurk: Reduces the visibility and scent of the user, and anyone or anything they touch. Flee: Allows user to make a quick getaway. Warrior-Class: One-Handed Sword: Raises proficiency with one-handed swords. Wizard-Class: Tinder: Creates a small flame too weak to directly harm enemies. Create Earth: Produces sand or soil full of nutrients. Create Water: Shoots a jet of pure and clean water from atmospheric moisture. Wind Breath: Creates a gust of wind which can redirect small projectiles. Freeze: Creates a chill able to freeze the surface of the target's body. Fireball: Shoots a ball of fire that detonates on the target. Lightning: Summons a lightning bolt. Flash: Creates a intense light that blinds the opponent. Unlock: Allows the user to open up any lock or unseal any object. Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to a marked location. Each user can have 3 marked locations for teleportation. Kazuma marked the boss chamber of the World Largest Dungeon, the entrance of Axel Police Station and Eris's room in the Afterlife. Explosion: Summons a single beam of light, that detonates at the target, creating a devastating blast of pure magical power. Undead-Class: Drain Touch: Absorbs MP and HP from a target, which in turn can be transferred to somebody else. It is more effective where the skin is thin and spots near the heart. This skill, however, isn't effective in enemies with high Vitality, such as Darkness and Mitsurugi. Moreover, undead and monsters with low-quality MP can cause negative effects on Kazuma's health. Archer-Class: Bow: Raises proficiency with bow and arrows. Foresight: Allows a user to see far into the distance. Also gives the user Night Vision. Snipe: Increases the range and accuracy of an arrow. Damage is based on Dexterity while Accuracy is based on Luck. Priest-Class: Heal: Instantly heals a person's wounds. Regina's Blessing: While Kazuma was a Regina's follower, he had the Vengeance skill (a curse that causes the user's same damage or debuff, direct or indirect, on the culprit) and the basic Priest skill to see Ghosts. Monk-Class: Auto-evade: Allows the user to dodge any attack autonomously. Activation is dependent on the user's Luck. Ranger-Class: Set Trap: Increases the power and activation chance of any trap. Creator-Class: Create Earth Golem: Creates an earthen golem from the ground soil. Assassin-Class: Deadly Backstab: One-hit kills the target in their back if certain conditions are met, such as being undetected. Success rate based on Luck. Dark Stalker Class: Eavesdrop: The ability to secretly listen to a conversation from a distance. General Skills: Lip Reading: Understand what someone is saying as long as the user can see their mouth. Kazuma usually uses this skill alongside Foresight. Chef-Class: Cook: Raises proficiency cooking. Kazuma used this in other to prepare dishes from his homeland, Japan. Blacksmith-Class Smithing: Raises proficiency working with metals and manufacturing. He uses his smithing ability to great effect by inventing products from Earth, such as dynamite, condoms, lighters, and kotatsu, as well as repair armor made out of adamantite.

   Short Sword: A cheap short sword that he bought some weeks after being reincarnated with what little income he had made from his construction job.[5] Chunchunmaru: A specially-ordered short katana, which has a weird name thanks to Megumin.[15] Silver Arrows: Handmade arrows made of silver, effective against undead, demons and wolf-type monsters.[33] Cursed Ring: A cursed ring that got stuck on Kazuma's finger after he put it on, and forced him to steal panties upon every full moon.[34] Mass-Produced Vanir Mask: A mask that raises magic abilities, increases blood flow and gives the user's skin a healthy glow on full moon.[9] Tinymite: An small item created by Kazuma, similar to the dynamite, that created an explosion as powerful as Blasting Magic.[35] Magic Sword: An enchanted longsword lended by Dust that, if the user is fatally injured, will nullify the damage once.[28] Bottle of Poison: Alongside the Deadly Backstab skill, Kazuma gained a bottle of poison from the assassin who taught him that skill

Megumin is also Chomusuke's owner.

   Appearance

   Megumin is a young girl with shoulder-length brunette hair (smooth black in light novel) and oddly languid crimson-colored eyes. She has fair skin, doll-like features (being a Lolita type)[1] and a light complexion. Like many Evil Eye Chūnibyō characters, Megumin wears a eyepatch to "seal her power"[1] and bandages in her right leg.

   Megumin wears a classical witch attire such as a black cloak, a red robe, orange boots and a black wizard's hat, all with gold border and trimmings, alongside black choker, belt, a black stocking in the left leg and fingerless gloves. She carries a brown staff with a floating blue gem that was later updated with a red gem.[2] Personality

   Megumin's most defining trait is her obsession for Explosion Magic. After being saved by a mysterious stranger using that spell, Megumin instantly fell in love with the Explosion Magic's unparalleled destructive power,[3] as well as its heat, the shock wave sensation over the body, smoke and glow,[4] reason why she dedicated years of her life studying and saving points in order to master the spell, while ignoring its many demerits.

   After learning the Explosion Magic, Megumin started to come up with excuses to use it every day, both in quests or during her daily routine, recklessly using the spell at the first opportunity, sometimes just to show herself, relieve stress or gain XP, no matter how many problems she causes, although Megumin may grow anxious in delicate situations. While she gets excited about someone else joining her in the "Path of Explosion",[5] Megumin rejects any type of explosion that isn't Explosion Magic, such as Kazuma's tinymites.[6]

   Like most Crimson Demons, Megumin has a chūnibyō personality, being into speeches in old Japanese dialect[7] and cringe-worthy poses,[8] although her act falls flat easily. She is also an attention seeker with delusions of grandeur, calling herself "the foremost arch wizard and wielder of Explosion Magic" and boasting of her genius and talent. Megumin has a taste for strange names, edge stuff and destructive hobbies too, as well as cute pets, but she doesn't admit it to keep up her "cool" pose.

   Although Megumin is, according to Kazuma, weirdly smart[9] and has the most common sense of her party,[10] when it comes to her, she is quite childish, since Megumin is short-tempered, often rising to provocations and even threatening to explode the houses of those who enrage her. Meanwhile, regarding her loved ones, she is surprisingly mature, as while Megumin may be harsh with the ones she cares about, like Kazuma and Yunyun, Megumin is also exceptionally assertive and even empathetic.

   Moreover, Megumin is very competitive, even having a notebook to count her wins against Yunyun.[11] It is very common that Megumin tries to assert her dominance over her friends, whatever in competitions, play and even in her love life, using her relationship with Kazuma to make them envy. Megumin is also a cheater who does whatever it takes to win, no matter how brute, reason why she was considered a "ruffian" in her school.[12]

   Although Megumin is already old enough to get married in the Parallel World, she is still treated like a kid due to her underdeveloped appearance, which Megumin dislikes, as well as being called "loli" or "jailbait". She often tries to act like a mature woman, like trying to drink alcohol and flirting by sending mixed signals, because Megumin thinks that is the adult way of courting.[13] She also has adult interests, like starting a family.

   Megumin is very self-conscious about her preadolescent body. She often has the excuse that her body will develop later, although her bad nutrition and genetics say otherwise.[14] Megumin is also very jealous of her friends' more developed bodies, even slapping their bosom in a fit of rage.[3] She is obsessed about having a stunning body too, getting interested in becoming a great spell-caster because she believes that if she becomes a great wizard, she would have "a huge rack".[14]

   Due to her family being very poor, Megumin learned to get by herself early. She believes in the survival of the fittest, being merciless with monsters, even baby or cute ones, and used to hunt and steal her own food, eating even food remains, such as crusts of bread, and insects.[15] Megumin is also willing to use any underhanded method to survive, like stealing Yunyun's lunches at their duels in order to feed[3] and seizing the moment to blackmail Kazuma so she could join his party.[1]

   At the start of the series, Megumin was a lone wolf, not caring for anyone except her sister (for whom she has a sister complex), nor mixing with her classmates in school,[16] and using friendship only as an excuse to share her problems[17] and suffering.[11] Yet, through the series, Megumin learned to open up to others and to care about people, becoming a kinder person, and even being a bit indulgent and lenient with her loved ones.    As a Crimson Demon prodigy, Megumin has an amazing Magic Potential, being able to make complex potions, craft magic items,[18] and even reformulate the Explosion Magic chant in order to enhance its power.[19] She also has the highest Intelligence of her party and just loses in Magical Power for Aqua.[20] However, while Megumin could even surpass Yunyun as an Arch Wizard,[21] she chose to specialize in Explosion Magic, the most powerful spell in the Detonation Series, instead, and thanks to its many demerits, such as becoming unable to control her mana emission,[22] as well as her insistence in spending all her Skill Points increasing her spell destructive power instead of learning any other magic spell, she suffers from being too specialized, as while Megumin is an effective nuker, she is also an one-and-done glass cannon.

   Explosion Explosion Magic Explosion Magic: A special branch magic of the Detonation Series that allows the user to summon a single beam of light, that detonates at the target, creating a devastating blast of pure magical power. It is the most powerful magic spell, learned by immortal beings like undead and gods, with enough spare skill points to learn it. Although the spell can damage ghosts, spirits, gods and demons, it has several demerits: it consumes too much MP, being a single shot spell (in Megumin's case, she always collapses since the spell also consumes her HP); the magic is also so powerful it also affects the surrounding landscape, being dangerous to use it in dungeons, that can collapse over the user; lastly, its noise attracts all the monsters in the surrounding area. Skills: Besides magic, Megumin devotes all of her Skill Points into skills in order to improve the power of her spell, instead of use them to increase her MP:[23] Explosion Magic Increase: Increases the power of Blasting, Detonation and Explosion Magics. High-Speed Incantation: Decreases the time of incantation. Thanks to this skill, Megumin doesn't need to recite an incantation, although it decreases her spell firepower.[24] However, in the end of the series, she fully mastered the spell to use its full power without incantation.[25] Equipment

   Magic Rod: A staff with a huge curved head, at the centre of which a piece of Manatite levitates, used for boosting the power of spells cast like a magic wand does. Originally fitted with regular blue Manatite when fashioned by Funifura's father before the rod was gifted to Megumin,[26] it was later upgraded with a piece of red high-quality Manatite.[5] Light of Reflection Scroll: A scroll that allows the user to employ the Light of Reflection spell. Megumin used it in the fight against Host.[27] Sword of Shack the Ripper: A sword belonging to Shack the Ripper, which Megumin wielded for a while. It requires high MP to cut through nonliving objects, but it is ineffective againts living beings.[28] Highest-Quality Manatites: In the final fight against the Devil King, Kazuma gave to Megumin a bag full of pure Manatites, allowing her to use Explosion Magic multiple times at will.[29] Demon Ring: A cursed ring that grants the user "Demon Eyes", but with the price of slowly turn them into a demon. Megumin got it from Wiz's Shop, almost becoming a full demon (with a pair of horns) until Aqua lifted the curse.[30] Crimson Eye Lightning: An electric eye beam. It could reflect Yunyun's Lightning, but it's too painful to the user. Crimson Eye Bind: An eye beam that paralyzes the target.

Before she went to the Parallel World, Aqua was the elite Goddess of Water who guided young Japanese to the Afterlife,[2] as well as the Axis Order's pathon goddess,[3] and is Emperor Zel's owner.

   Appearance

   Kazuma describes Aqua to possess beauty no human could match, with a soft and gentle aura. Her hair and eyes had the translucent blue of the sea on a clear day,[2] and she has a slim figure with large breasts, long legs, wide hips, and waist-long blue hair that is partially tied into a loop with a spherical clip. Aqua measures 83/56/83 cm (or 33/22/33 in) for her B/W/H (Bust/Waist/Hip) respectively, stands at 5'2" (or 157 cm) tall and weighs 132lbs (or 59.9kg).

   Aqua's outfit isn't too revealing, but doesn't hide anything,[2] consisting of a sleeveless dark-blue vest with white trimmings, a short dark-blue microskirt, a green bow around her chest with a blue gem in the middle, a translucent purple underskirt, and detached white sleeves with blue and golden trimmings. She wears thigh-high blue-heeled boots over white stockings with blue trimmings.

   Sometimes Aqua wears a divine relic in the form of a translucent pink hagoromo around her, which she can choose to have it appear or disappear. Furthermore, her hair clip also resembles a H2O molecule. Personality

   While Aqua may look dignified at first glance, she is the opposite of what is expected from a goddess, as she is careless, carefree, cocky and boisterous, and even though Aqua has a motherly side, she is tactless and insulting as well, since Aqua doesn't think before she talks. Aqua is a hypocrite too, because although she always calls Kazuma a "shut-in NEET", Aqua is also a good-for-nothing, as she often spends the day lazing around in the couch, as well as is easily influenced by Kazuma and Cecily's bad behaviors.

   Also, due to her poor Intelligence stat, Aqua is absent-minded, heedless, impulsive, forgetful, slow-witted and unable to read the room. Her low Intelligence, combined to her pitiful Luck, are the reasons why most of her ideas and actions end up in a "critical failure". Aqua is, however, very intuitive and astute, guessing correctly her party's shenanigans,[4][5] as well as thinking fast in the rare occasions she is focused.[6][7]

   To make things worse, Aqua is an alcoholic as well. She always wants to party, often getting wasted to the point of vomiting, and aside of spending the day getting drunk, Aqua can only sleep while cuddling a bottle of bubbly.[8] In addition, while she believe to be an expert in fancy drinks, Aqua is still unable to differ the taste of an expensive wine from a bargain-priced bottle.[9]

   Furthermore, Aqua is a crybaby. Since she is oversensitive and prone to fear, Aqua always cries when she is scared, upset or shattered. Also, like a child, Aqua fakes crying sometimes to get what she wants[10] as well as throws a tantrum.[11] In addition, such as a kid, Aqua is wasteful, being a bohemian who spends all her money partying and getting drunk, with no thoughts for tomorrow. Yet, as an older woman, she is very sensitive to hints about her age.[12]

   Such as her followers, Aqua is a scammer too, since, while in Heaven, she would often hide information about the Parallel World in order to convince the recently-deceased Japanese to reincarnate there.[2] Aqua also supports her worshipers' schemes, even joining in these scams during the Eris Festival.[13] Ironically, although she is more than happy to deceive strangers for just a few bucks,[14] Aqua is still too stubborn to earn an honest buck with her Party Tricks.[15]

   Moreover, as a goddess, Aqua is self-centered, prideful and spoiled, often expecting to be praised and pampered by those around her due to her status as Goddess, even though no one believes her. Aqua is also very proud of her title of "Axel's Healer" and even acts more dignified when she recites the Axis' unusual doctrine. Aqua is greedy too, often trying to get a bigger share of her party's rewards, and the promise of a big reward is sometimes her only motivation to get off the couch.

   Also, like other gods, Aqua disdains demons and the undead, which is why she constantly bickers with Vanir and exorcises Zeeleschilt. However, unlike other gods like Eris, Aqua is way more flexible, as she is able to sympathize with undead like Keele,[16] apologize to the Succubi,[17] and grow attached to both Wiz and Anna, despite having bullied the former for so long. She takes seriously her job as goddess of guiding dead souls to the Afterlife.

   In addition, as the Axis Cult's patron goddess, Aqua is very permissive, since she welcomes homosexuals and even preaches forgiveness for NEETs, lolicons and furries, as long as they don't engage with demons and undead, and no crime is committed.[18] Nonetheless, Aqua is still too judgmental with her closed ones, as well as gossipy and a namecaller, as she often gossips about her party members and gives them nicknames behind their backs or even to their face.

   But despite her many flaws, Aqua is still a very loyal person deep down, to both her beloved followers, even putting her life on the line to defend them,[19] as well as to Kazuma, taking his side despite disagreeing,[20] keeping his secrets,[21] and ultimately staying by his side, despite Mitsurugi's promises of luxury and confort,[22] and going on the run if needed.[23] As long as Aqua is having some fun, she will always stand by Kazuma's side.    As a Goddess, Aqua's power correlates to the devotion of her followers,[18] and although she was weakened after descending to the mortal world,[16] Aqua is still the strongest member of her party, having amazingly high stats,[3] with a Magical Power superior to Megumin's.[24] However, she has a low Intelligence and her Luck couldn't be poorer,[3] and Aqua cannot improve them because her stats are already maxed out.[25] Moreover, as her party's healer, Aqua is too specialized in support, since her attack skills are only effective against demons and undead.

   Holy Magic: Upon descending into the mortal plane, Aqua took up the Arch Priest-class, learning all her class skills,[25] allowing her to use all types of healing and recovery spells, support buffs, and evil-dispeling magic. Heal: Instantly heals a person's wounds. Sacred Highness Heal: Greater healing spell. It can restore erased memories.[5] Turn Undead Turn Undead Turn Undead: Creates a light that sends the undead to the afterlife. Sacred Turn Undead: A more powerful version of Turn Undead, which, when cast upon, can release a powerful spell that can purify even a Lich. Exorcism: Summons a pillar of light that drives away demons. Powerful enough to stop a possessed Darkness in her tracks. Sacred Exorcism: A stronger version of Exorcism. Aqua fires it like a laser from her forehead in a pose similar to the Emerium Beam. This spell is potentially powerful enough to damage an Archdemon like Vanir. Break Spell: A spell that can dispels magic, skills and curses. Sacred Break Spell: A stronger version of Break Spell. It can break magical barriers.[26] Cure Poison: A spell to detoxify a person. Refresh: A spell that lowers the person's body temperature. Supporting Buffs: Aqua can cast several supporting spells to greatly increase the resistance, speed, and strength of the one she cast her spell upon: Blessing: A spell that increases luck. Powered: A spell that increases strength. Haste: A spell that increases speed. Protection: A spell that increases physical resistance. Resistance: A spell that increases magical resistance. Versatile Entertainer: Makes the target a multi-threat talent, able to mimic anyone's voice. Eyes of Providence: Allows the target to see and listen ghosts. As side-effect, the target will be able to see stuff they usually couldn't. Reflect: A spell that reflects an opponent's attacks back at them. Force Fire: Draws the attention of monsters towards the user. Magic Seal: Seals someone's or something power. Used in a Divine Treasure[6] and in the Devil King.[27] It is so powerful even an Archdemon can't break it.[28] Magic Circle: Aqua can draw magic circles that repel ghosts, undead, demons, and monsters. She can also create spirit barriers to capture demons that are powerful enough to damage even an Archdemon,[29] to turn objects invisible[30] and to block sound.[31] Resurrection: The most advanced spell for the Arch Priest class, it revives a recently-deceased person. Usually one person can just be revived once, but due to her seniority over Eris, Aqua can even violate that rule and resurrect the same person multiple times. However, she cannot resurrect those whose physical forms have been completely digested or destroyed,[19] or died of natural causes (like diseases).[32] Water Magic: As a goddess with the domain over water, Aqua possesses many powerful water-related skills, like walking on water and breathing under water. Create Water: Shoots a jet of pure and clean water from atmospheric moisture. Sacred Create Water: Summons a large torrent of water from the sky, that causes a huge flood. It is such a large amount of water that it could flood an entire city and destroy subsequent buildings and structures, such as the city's wall. Purification: Purifies water from dirty and poison by touching. As the Goddess of Water, Aqua automatically purifies any liquid that touches her skin, therefore casting Purification simply increases the effect. Holy Water: All liquid Aqua purifies is turned into holy water (known as "Goddess Juice"). Aside from this it can be used as weapon against the undead, her holy water can be used to enhance the quality of weapons and equipment, and protect against illness. Water generated directly from Aqua's body, like her tears, are especially potent against the undead. Party Tricks: After learning all the Arch Priest-class skills at once, Aqua started to spend all her points in the Party Trick-skill tree. Those are used mainly for the entertainment and amusement of people, as Aqua refuses any payment for her presentations. Nature's Beauty: A skill that makes two fans appear on both hands and a pot of soil appear on top of her head. Spouts of water will emerge from each fan while a flower grows in the pot that will eject blossoms once fully grown. Hundred Hazes: The ultimate party trick. Once it is activated, it takes half of a day to finish. Master Artist: As a muse of the arts, Aqua is an extremely talented artist, being able to repair a photo of Darkness's suitor with the bare minimum tools at hand and create detailed 1/12 clay scale models of Megumin and Darkness, as well as intricate sand drawings, soap scale figures, and even make handmade giant robot made out of milk cartons. While Kazuma has noted that she could make a living off these skills, she refuses to, as her greedy and lazy nature makes her unable to financially take advantage of these artistic talents. Construction Master: Aqua is also a skilled in labor work. She is so talented working on construction that she is able to repair all by herself a giant wall damaged by Explosion Magic in a single day several times in a roll. God Skills: As a goddess, Aqua posses unique skills related to her heavenly race, although her fall from Heaven weakened some of her special abilities as Goddess. God Blow God Blow God Blow: A lethal fist that carries a goddess' rage and sorrows. It can both purify the undead and cause physical damage at the target. God Requiem: A lethal hook, it's a goddess requiem of love and sorrow. Like God Blow, it can both cause physical damage and purify the target, being able of purify Arcanletia hot springs. It's an anime exclusive skill. Holy Aura: It causes pain for undead and demons that touch her, with prolonged exposure being lethal. Draining her MP and HP is also poisonous for the undead. However, since the undead look "for salvation," mindless undead are also attracted to her aura. Her holy aura also blurs the evil aura of her lies, so a magical bell won't detect her lies unless she strongly believes it is false. Enhanced Vision: Aqua can see in the dark as well as the daytime, as well as see invisible stuff. It is a less powerful version of her omniscience as a goddess. Evil Detection: Aqua can also detect undead and demons by their scent. Aqua can also see and communicate with ghosts and poltergeists even if they are invisible. She is a crusader who joined Kazuma's party,[2] as well as a noble of the prestigious Dustiness House.[3]

   Appearance

   Darkness is a 5'6" tall young woman with graceful features and alabaster skin. She is well-endowed and also has light blue eyes and straight, long blonde hair, usually kept in a ponytail tied with a braid and red hair clips secured on both sides of her bangs. According to Kazuma, she is "drop-dead gorgeous".[4]

   She is usually seen using a yellow and black sleeveless dress with silver trimmings, black chainmail, and a silver armor composed of metal greaves, sabatons, tasset, shoulder plate on her left side, wing-like cloth perched upon her right shoulder and a cuirass with a red bow. Personality

   Although Darkness looks like an orthodox and heroic knight at first glance, she is actually a masochistic pervert who feels pleasure with pain and humiliation, enjoying all types of abuse (both physical and moral). Darkness' supposed selfless desire to face the danger and protect her companions is actually a selfish desire to feel the pain of the opponents' attacks, and for such reason she constantly charges toward the enemy without regard for the consequences under the pretext of being her Crusader's duty.

   Darkness' masochist pleasure is well visible since she blushes from excitement and embarrassment easily. Darkness also moans when she suffers any type of verbal abuse, and becomes breathless when she is excited. While Darkness tries to hide her excitement, her voice goes suddenly high when she is tense or psyched, and Darkness is ecstatic and squirming after being attacked by some monster or opponent.

   Darkness also has a wild imagination, having lewd fantasies about being harassed by her foes, however once she utters her delusions, Darkness ends up freaking her opponents out.[5] Therefore, it is her dream to be captured by the Devil King's Army some day and suffer all types of torture.[6] She gets carried away by the moment too, going with the flow in tense situations.

   Darkness' masochism is evident on her type of men too, as she prefers perverse, weak-willed, useless, out of shape and alcoholic men who would exploit and objectify her.[6] In fact, the reason she asked to join Kazuma's party was that he used to be the worthless, perverted and lazy type of man Darkness is into.[7] And although her masochism slowly decreased, it didn't fade away.

   While Darkness enjoys shame, there are two types of embarrassment she doesn't like. As a woman, Darkness dislikes any hint about her weight and tough muscles,[8] and while she is tempted by cute outfits,[9] Darkness can't stand the humiliation of looking or sounding cute in public, reason why she is ashamed of her real cute name.[10] This comes down to the point that making a cute voice or wearing cute outfits feels like torture for her.[11]

   Although Darkness is usually quite perverted, she is still an innocent and pure maiden, being clueless about what she should do during the sexual intercourse,[7] and prone to shyness in lewd situations.[12] Darkness is into romance too, having girlish fantasies and aspirations.[13] Still, even though she always makes remarks about her lack of experience, her companions don't believe in it.[14]

   However, as a Crusader, Darkness is a proud defender of the people, as well as a resolute law-abiding and a fervent follower of Eris Order doctrine. Her family contributed with the Eris Church for generations and Darkness herself used to pray for Eris everyday, asking for a friend, until she met and befriended with Chris.[15] Darkness is very proud of her religion, particularly when it means that she will suffer any kind of discrimination.[16]

   Also, as a noble of a prestigious house, Darkness is more refined and sophisticated than her companions, and although the laters might embarrass her, she interacts normally with commoners. At first Darkness used to hide her heritage, never using her influence unduly even when it was necessary. However, after her true identity was exposed, Darkness slowly started to feel more proud of her noble status and to use her authority and wealthy to support her party.

   Finally, while Darkness is a rough, irritable and stubborn person, often reacting violently or seizing the moment to pay back, as a paladin, she is actually a selfless and altruistic knight, ready to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of others. However, since Darkness is too reticent about her sacrifices and altruism, she often causes more problems than fixes. Also, throughout the series Darkness started to be more self-full and fulfill her desires, even using her authority and resources to get items and monsters that please her fetish.[17][11][18] History

   Like Aqua and Megumin, Darkness suffers from being too specialized. As a Crusader, the class with the highest defense stats, she is a very effective tank, possessing abnormally high Strength, being capable of resisting the Hydra's weight,[19] and Vitality, being able to withstand Kazuma's Drain Touch,[6] that can incapacitate regular targets.[20] However, due to her masochism, she refuses to learn any attack skill and intentionally sets her accuracy low so her attacks will be unable to hit the target, since her Strength stat is so high that Darkness could defeat most monsters before she could take any damage.

   Physical Resistance: Resistance against physical damage. Darkness can withstand the Devil King's Generals and high-level monsters' attacks, performing her role as her party's "meat shield". This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Magic Resistance: Prevent magic from taking effect. Thanks to this skill, Darkness was capable of survive both Megumin's Explosion Magic and Vanir's Murder-Ray. This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Debuff Resistance (All Types): Darkness got all separate skills for all the different status ailments. Decoy: Draws the opponent's attacks and attention to the user. Side Slash: A full powered horizontal slice. Weakness

   Darkness' Attacks Missing Attacks Low Accuracy: Although Darkness has high physical stats, she is very clumsy, being unable to hit her targets, unless it happens by accident. Darkness refuses to get any skill that could enhance her Accuracy as well, like the Two-Handed Sword skill, due to her masochism. It is a recurring joke that her sword cannot hit anything. Equipment

   Adamantite Armor: After defeating Vanir, Darkness received from the royal family a new special-order armor set[10] made with a bit of adamantite, the strongest metal existing in that world.[8] Bind Item: Darkness used a powerful Bind item, whose effects could last for 3 days, on Kazuma in order to prevent him from going to Elroad.[21] Pitch-Black Full Body Armor: In the final fight against the Devil King, Darkness used a armor full of magical power for the Crusader Class only, brought by Kazuma. However it was a cursed armor that drives the user berserk during fights, although it can be easily removed at will.[22] Slave Collar: A divine treasure Darkness confiscated from a rival noble, it forces the user to obey their master orders, forcing the user to do something painful for them (but not actual pain) as punishment for their disobedience (in Darkness' case, acting and talking in a cute way). As a divine treasure, it can't be removed using Steal or similar skills

She was released from her seal by a young Megumin, teaching her Explosion Magic in gratitude and becoming her mentor in the Path of Explosion.[1]

   Appearance

   Wolbach was a well-endowed and beautiful woman with a soft voice, yellow cat-like pupiled eyes and short red hair, as well as pointed ears similar to an elf and a strange oval-shaped mark on her forehead.[1] She also had goat-like horns protruding from the sides of her head that she can hide at will.[2]

   While teaching Explosion Magic to Megumin, Wolbach wore a hooded robe covering her whole body and obscuring her face.[1] When she served as a Devil King's General, she wore a cloak going down to her ankles and one-piece suit with a boob window and a tie covering her cleavage.[2] Personality

   While she was labeled as a Dark God, Wolbach was actually a friendly, gentle and modest woman, as well as a good listener. She also was appreciative, being grateful to Megumin for releasing Wolbach from her seal, so much that she got attached to her while teaching her Explosion Magic, although Megumin drove Wolbach to multiple mental breakdowns, even trying to persuade her to learn a more useful spell, but ultimately respecting Megumin's choice.[3]

   However, as a Devil King's General, Wolbach was diligent and merciless as well, since she was willing to kill Kazuma for posing a threat, despite their friendly interactions, although Wolbach still denied that she remembered Megumin in public, to spare her trouble.[4] Also, while she seemed reasonable, Wolbach was too stubborn, refusing to tell the reason why she joined the Devil King's Army before being defeated.[2][4]

   Moreover, while Wolbach was usually patient, as a goddess, she was prideful and resentful too, not tolerating any disrespect, to the point of threatening Aqua with divine punishment for her arrogance,[2] and even antagonizing with her.[4] History

   Wolbach was the goddess who presided over the aspects of Sloth and Violence, yet despite claiming to be a perfectly decent upstanding goddess, she was deemed a "Dark God" by the Axis Order after joining the Devil King's Army, among which she had many worshipers.[2] At some point afterwards, Wolbach was split into the Aspect of Sloth represented by herself in humanoid form, while her other half in the form of a huge black beast represented the Aspect of Violence, before both of them were imprisoned within a sealing stone, which was then moved to the Tomb of the Dark God near the Crimson Demon Village, because its inhabitants thought the idea of having an Dark God locked away in their village not only sounded cool but could also serve as a tourist attraction.[5]

   Approximately 8 years prior to the main series, a young Megumin who played with the complex sealing stone at the Tomb accidentally released Wolbach and her other half, which went on a rampage. Wolbach thus used Explosion to defeat the beast and save Megumin, then sapped her Aspect of Violence of most of her energy before resealing the beast, deciding that it was better to come back for her when the beast had calmed down. Next, she offered to grant a wish for Megumin as gratitude for releasing her, though after expressing the inability to conquer the world, grant big breasts, or make the little girl the Devil King as well as suggesting for something slightly bigger than finding missing puzzle pieces or helping to catch crawfish, Wolbach was asked to teach her Explosion Magic.[1]

   Despite listing the disadvantages of her learning that overpowered plus impractical spell, Wolbach at Megumin's insistence agreed to teach the incantations once she recovered the next day. She soon got exasperated at Megumin over the span of several days for her repeatedly inserting cool-sounding phrases into the incantations as well as making cool poses while chanting, and tried talking her into learning Advanced Magic instead but to no avail. Wolbach was accordingly surprised upon mimicking Megumin's chants and poses, since it turned out that such antics actually made the Explosions more powerful. The Dark God nevertheless continued persuading the dogged Megumin while listening to her describe how scary her mother was, and demonstrated the usefulness of Advanced Magic by freezing a fleeing One-Punch Bear she was asked to kill when they walked into the forest, yet was shocked to see Megumin finishing the monster off as per her clan's tradition. On the day Wolbach finally had to leave, she Paralysed Megumin in order to look at her Adventurer Card, which to her astonishment displayed the Advanced Magic she had demonstrated in the past few days as possible skills for the little girl to learn. As they later bid their farewells, Wolbach demonstrated Explosion once again, with Megumin promising to show her own Explosion once she learned it.[3]

   At some point during the following 7 years, the Dark God who returned to the Devil King's Army contracted Demons like Host and Arnes as well as a horde of generic ones looking like furry winged humanoids to be her servants. When the time was right for her sealed half to be released, Wolbach ordered Host to go unravel the seal at the Tomb of the Dark God, which later prompted her low-level demonic servants into flocking there upon detecting the Aspect of Violence being freed. Subsequent to Host giving confirmation of her other half's release, the Dark God tasked him and Arnes go look for the missing black beast. Yet during a caravan trip to Arcanletia where she frequently visited for its curative hot springs, Wolbach heard from Yunyun, who rode in the same carriage, about Arcanletia's hot springs being sabotaged by Gelatinous Slime in a fashion so very similar to the upcoming sabotage conspiracy of the Devil King's Army, in addition to Yunyun and Megumin's battles against Arnes and Host that ended with the Demons' demise.[6]

   Wolbach Hans Anime After the turn of the year, the Dark God made a final trip to Arcanletia since its hot springs were about to be ruined in accordance with the plans of the Devil King's Army, and rendezvoused with Hans at some inn's hot springs, where she heard him sprout out all his resentful grievances about the city as well as the Axis Order. She was surprised when Kazuma suddenly barged in on them, though the Dark God's worries about their conversation getting overheard appeared to be unfounded when the young man did nothing but stare at the her naked body. Subsequent to Hans taking his leave, Wolbach struck a conversation with Kazuma, where she vaguely talked of aiming to retrieve her full powers from her other half as well as teaching a Crimson Demon girl magic, before getting out also while warning him not to bathe in Arcanletia's hot springs again.[7] (In the anime, it was Wolbach, getting embarrassed from Kazuma's staring, who left the hot springs first instead of Hans)[8]

   Many months later, Wolbach was ordered by the Devil King to lead a contingent against a fort that protected the Royal Capital from the Devil King's Army, and accordingly enacted a hit-and-run tactic consisting of casting Explosion at the fort walls before Teleporting out every single day,[2] which brought the fort to near collapse,[9] in addition to forcing the king and Prince Jatice's evacuation from the front lines.[10]

   Wolbach during a lull in fighting sneaked off to a hot springs resort situated in an area roamed by Bandits, where she again ran into Kazuma, and proceeded to vaguely reveal how her other half, now looking like a black cat, went missing after being freed from the tomb she was sealed at. Despite next hearing Kazuma talk about his party's pet black cat, whom the Crimson Demon girl in his party called a "Dark God", Wolbach didn't connect it with her other half, since the cat was said to cozy up with the diligent Kazuma and had been chased around by a newborn chick, and thus took her leave.[10]

   Marching up to the fort a couple of days later for another round of Explosion on its walls, Wolbach suddenly detected the presence of her other half in the company of Kazuma's party and Yunyun who were laying in ambush. Admitting to Kazuma how she was a Devil King's General as they came out of hiding, the Dark God was unexpectedly confronted by Aqua who questioned her divinity, at which she expressed incredulity to the Archpriest's claims of being a goddess. With the quarrel descending into a scuffle, where both goddesses threatened to curse the other while claiming to be unaffected even when cursed, Wolbach admonished the Axis Order who had branded her a "Dark God", before Teleporting herself to safety when the enraged Aqua summoned a flood.[2]

   Wolbach continued her daily Explosions on the fort thereafter, only to find the walls that had been on the verge of collapse getting repaired and strengthened by Aqua, who had even begun painting murals on it. She accordingly marched up to the fort gates to scream her anger at Kazuma's party, yet unexpectedly caught sight of Yunyun as well as Megumin holding Wolbach's other half that was now named "Chomusuke". After the Chomusuke trying to reach Wolbach got used by Kazuma as a hostage in an attempt to blackmail the Devil King's General into retreating, Wolbach as she declared her defiance before returning admitted to remembering Yunyun, but denied knowing Megumin.[4]

   Faced with Kazuma's party using Wolbach's same tactics against the Devil King's Army in the ensuing days, where Megumin would cast Explosion at the monsters' camp before Yunyun Teleported them to safety, followed by the infuriated monsters charging the fort that despite Wolbach's continued attacks became stronger thanks to Aqua, and getting annihilated by the defending adventurers as a result, the numbers and morale of her subordinates plummeted. Wolbach eventually gave up attacking the fort and went to investigate Kazuma, who turned out to have defeated Beldia, Vanir, Hans, and Sylvia, cementing her belief of him being the descendent of "Kazuma Satou", the legendary hero in fairy tales.[4]

   The Dark God proceeded to wait until Kazuma sneaked up to the camp one day with Megumin and Yunyun, then stepped out to confront him regarding her investigations, though she got embarrassed at his reminders of them repeatedly bathing together. Continuing to deny knowing the dejected Megumin, Wolbach began chanting for Explosion on the defenceless party, only to have Kazuma throw and ignite a stick of Tinymite at her before they managed to Teleport out. Wounded unto the point her other half began sucking away her essence, the fading Wolbach limped towards the fort where Kazuma awaited with his companions while carrying Chomusuke. Next explaining her intent to destroy Chomusuke and denying having ever met Megumin before, Wolbach quickly started her chant for Explosion, yet Megumin beat her to it with a chantless Explosion. Muttering a word of thanks to Megumin, the Dark God was accordingly obliterated and fully absorbed by Chomusuke.[4] Abilities

   Due to being a goddess, Wolbach possessed an incredibly high magic level, although she wasn't at her peak since she didn't regain her full power from Chomusuke, often attending hot springs in order to recover her strength.[10]

   Magic: Wolbach was an amazingly powerful mage with an incredibly high Magical Power, as she was able to cast other spells immediately after casting Explosion. Intermediate Magic: Wolbach possesses so much magical power she is able to kill an entire pack of One-Punch Bears with an Intermediate spell. Freeze Gust: Creates a freezing white fog. Paralyze: Prevents the target from moving. She used it in Megumin to steal her Adventurer Card. Advanced Magic: Wolbach is also able to use Advanced Magic, even offering teaching Megumin both Inferno and Light of Saber spells instead of Explosion Magic. Inferno: Summons enormous flames that incinerate the surrounding area. Wolbach demonstrated this spell to Megumin in an attempt to waver her from the Path of Explosion. Detonation Series: Wolbach seems to have mastered the entire Detonation Series, offering teaching Megumin the Blasting and Detonation Magics instead of Explosion Magic. Explosion Magic: A special branch of magic that summon a single beam of light, that detonates at the target, creating a devastating blast of pure magical power. It usually consumes so much MP, so it is a single shot spell. Wolbach's explosions are powerful enough to defeat her Aspect of Violence in a single shot and cause severe damage on the Fort's wall. Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to a marked location. Each user can have 3 marked locations for teleportation. She often used Teleport in conjunction with Explosion as a devastating hit-and-run combo

   Keys: Sylvia

   Age unknown Sylvia (シルビア, Shirubia) was a Growth Chimera and one of the Devil King's Generals, serving as the director of the Monster Enhancement Division.[1] She was ordered to retrieve an ancient weapon sealed inside within the Crimson Demon Village, which led to a large-scale battle against the Crimson Demons and Kazuma's party. Sylvia sports free-flowing bangs that are highlighted red and long, straight hair partially kept up in a bun at the top. She has animal-like purple eyes (yellow in the Light Novel) and pointy ears similar to an elf, leading Kazuma to believe she might be some kind of demon.

   At first glance, Sylvia looks like as a towering, voluptuous and attractive human woman. She was so attractive that Kazuma seriously considered defecting to the Devil King's Army to be with her. As a Chimera, Sylvia possessed traits typically unique to both males and females, having big breasts and the figure of a woman, but also traces of a male genitalia.

   Sylvia wears a crimson leather one-piece dress with low cut made from the skin of lesser demons, white-sleeved gloves, brown stockings, dark-red shoes, a gold necklace and a single blue earring on her right ear. She usually carried a rope around with her to use for the "Bind" skill.

   After absorbing the Mage-Killer, the lower part of Sylvia's body takes on the shape of a metallic snake with gem inscriptions.[2] In the anime, subsequent to reviving and merging with Beldia and Hans, her lower body acquires a metallic semi-arachnid form around a blue semi liquid core and limbs, while her red dress is replaced with orange spikes that cover her breasts. Sylvia was a proud and charismatic leader, who truly cared about her minions, appreciating their love and worshipping, and even protecting them from the Crimson Demons' attacks.[3] She also grew resentful by the way the Crimson Demons treated both her and her soldiers, with her voice getting deeper and sounding more masculine by the anger.[1] Sylvia was astute too, correctly guessing Kazuma wasn't Mitsurugi by the low quality of his blade,[1] as well as realizing he knew the code that allows her to have access to the Mage-Killer.[2]

   Sylvia was also a lustful and flirty woman with a seductive aura, getting excited by trapping Kazuma over her own body[1] and boasting about her technique in bed.[2] While she did enjoy cute boys, being willing to spare them, Sylvia hated pretty girls, showing no mercy for them. Skills: Sylvia is able to use the Thief skill "Bind", summoning ropes for tying up her enemy, leading Kazuma to speculate that she could be a Thief general of the Devil King.

   Chimera Anatomy: Sylvia is able to add organic and artificial parts to herself, gaining their properties and skills.

   Mage-Killer: By merging with the ancient weapon called Mage-Killer, Sylvia can nullify the effects of magical attacks on her. Ancient Dispel (エンシェントディスペル): A function of the Mage-Killer, in which an anti-magic barrier is generated around Sylvia to prevent anyone in range from using magic, in addition to enhancing her magic resistance. Physical Resistance: As a Chimera already well known for resistance against physical damage, Sylvia's resilience was enhanced after fusing with the Mage-Killer, allowing her to survive a full physical bombardment of Vanir Dolls.

7. #7Eris

   Keys: Eris

   Age 15 Eris (エリス) is the Goddess of Luck responsible for the Parallel World and Aqua's junior in Heaven. While disguised as Chris (クリス), she is a thief and a good friend of both Darkness and Kazuma. Eris has long silvery hair and blue eyes. In the anime, she is depicted with purple eyes and silver hair with a violet tint to it and portrayed as a slightly older girl. She possesses the physical appearance of a fifteen-year-old girl and is stated to be extremely beautiful by many people including Kazuma. Her peers describe her as having a delicate and beautiful face that impresses on them a hint of melancholy. Eris has long silver hair going down to her ankles which has a light purple ombre. She has two long bangs which reach down to her shoulders and an ahoge sprouting from her fringe.

   Eris usually wears a purple coif on her head which matches the shade of her purple eyes, as well as a matching white and purple one-piece hagoromo dress with yellow trimmings which goes slightly passed her knees. She also wears purple shoes and white stockings, as well as a necklace with a pink diamond-shaped jewel in its center. She is not very buxom, and as such she usually wears breast pads.

   Chris Anime Her appearance as Chris is very similar to her real identity. She is a teenage girl with a light complexion and purple eyes. She has short silver hair and a light purple ombre of a sort. Her hair is longer. She has two strands of hair framing her face with a piece of hair pointing out from her fringe. She wears earrings. Most likely due to her tomboyish and outgoing nature, along with her flat chest and short hair, she is often mistaken for a boy. She does not cover up the small scar on her right cheek like she does as Eris.

   Chris usually wears a fairly revealing outfit, an attire common among females of the rogue class. Her outfit consists of a light blue scarf, a short green cape which goes down to her elbows, a pair of black elbow gloves with normal brown gloves layered over them, short blue jean-shorts, white knee-high socks with a blue trimming, brown boots, and a bikini-like grey top. Ever since her first run-in with Kazuma, Chris has worn black leggings in case her panties are stolen again. She also wears diamond-shaped blue earrings and usually has an enchanted dagger fastened to waist at the back. Eris is a goddess role model: kind, polite, industrious and noble. She always treats everyone with respect and empathy. However, due to her polite behavior, Eris is also a very acquiescent, especially to those above her rank, like her veteran Aqua. For such reason, she can't impose order, even yielding to the absurd demands of those Eris gets in touch in the Afterlife, like Aqua,[1] Kazuma[2] and Keele

   Eris, as a Goddess of Luck, has various physical powers that far exceed any normal human limitations. Also, as an authority in Heaven, she rules over the Parallel World as its goddess.

   Immortality: As a goddess, Eris can stop aging by her will, keeping her young appearance endlessly. Omniscience: As the goddess of the Parallel World, Eris' eyes can see all things in the mortal plain. Divine Punishment: As a goddess, Eris can also bestow a divine punishment related to her domain (Luck). Gate: Eris can open a portal to the mortal plain, in the form of a magic circle, transporting someone's soul to their old or a new body. Temporary Body: Eris herself can traverse to the mortal plain by creating a mortal body to inhabit. However, while in her mortal body, Eris can not use any of her divine powers, neither emit a divine aura. Holy Magic: Eris can also use her holy power to both cast supporting buffs and exorcise demons

She is a former adventurer referred to as the Ice Witch (氷の魔女)[1] who retired after becoming a Lich and a Devil King's General, opening a "famous" magic item shop in Axel.

   Wiz is a lovely and well-endowed woman in her early 20s with fair skin and a curvaceous figure. She has brown eyes and wavy brown hair reaching down to the front of her shoulders, further behind her back and slightly curling at the tips. Her fringe sometimes covers her right eye. Wiz also possesses a single ahoge that arcs off the top of her head.

   Wiz's color theme is purple. She usually wears a light purple long dress under a dark purple hooded gambeson robe with golden props, and dark-purple boots. Over her robe, Wiz uses a golden cross brooch with bat wings. Personality

   Wiz is a soft-spoken and affable woman who treats everyone with deference and courtesy, even Kazuma. She is sacrificial as well, being willing to give up her life for her companions[1] and letting herself being purified by Aqua if it helps her.[2] Wiz is very committed too, asking Aqua to be spared until she fulfill the promise Wiz made to her former party members[3] and working hard to help Vanir realize his dream of building his own dungeon.

   However, Wiz is an airhead as well, being too dense to notice her party member's crush on her,[1] misinterpreting the peoples' relations[4] and intentions,[5] and often blowing her fellow Generals' cover by greeting them. She is also quite demure, tending to be shy around lewd looks[6] and situations,[7] also struggling with romance, panicking because of her lack of experience.[5] Therefore, Wiz doesn't tolerate being sexualized on merchandise.[8]

   Wiz is very innocent and hard-working as well, truly believing she can accomplish anything with hard work, even if it takes hundreds of years.[9] Unfortunately Wiz is not suited for the merchant job, since she only evaluates the products Magical Power, gets so carried away by their selling points as to ignore their pain points, and is bad at advertising merch. Also, since she is not aware of her poor business savvy, once Vanir takes his eyes off her, Wiz stocks more defective or unaffordable junk, saying that "it's bound to sell".

   Thanks to her bad business sense and the fact Wiz invests every bit of money she can get her hands on in the shop, the harder she works, the further Wiz falls into debt, leaving her in a constant state of poverty. Due to this she is so desperate for ways to earn extra money to pay her rent[10] that Wiz is willing to sell her hair and nails.[11] She also survives on nothing but bread crusts and sugar water at times,[12] and lives at constant risk of going bankrupt, which is why Wiz is a very humble person.

   When Wiz was an adventurer, she used to slay monsters ruthlessly and get frustrated with failure,[1] but after turning into a Lich, Wiz became a pacifist, choosing to talk things out or over-apologize instead of a tougher action, as well as tending to panic when confronted. Moreover, since Wiz usually just pleads when she is suffering or being threatened, Wiz puts up with bullying, which is why she toughs out Aqua and Vanir's mistreatment.

   Nevertheless, although Wiz became a softer woman, she still has some triggers that make her angry, like threats against innocent lives other than adventurers and Knights whose job is to risk their lives fighting against monsters and the Devil King,[13] as well as hints about her real age, which Wiz insists it is "forever 20" since she became a Lich.[14] Furthermore, as a proud Queen of the Undead, she tends to look down on Vampires,[15] and vie with them.[16] History

   As a Lich, Wiz is an immortal being with many skills unique to the undead and an incredibly high magical power beyond regular humans, as she can move even after casting Explosion Magic. As the Queen of the Undead, she can command ghosts and send undead to the Afterlife though magic circles. However, as an undead, she is also weak against Purification Magic.

   Drain Touch: Absorbs MP and HP from a target, which in turn can be transferred to somebody else. However, when Wiz uses it on someone with Holy Aura, she may be purified, and on low-quality MP monsters, it causes her stomach feels bloated. Hand of the Immortal King: Gives random debuffs on target with a physical touch or attacks with hostile intent. These include Level Drain, Curse, Sleep, Magic Seal, Panic, Petrification, and Instant Death. Physical Resistance: Only physical attacks from magic weapons can damage her. Magic Resistance: As a lich, Wiz has high resistance against magical attacks. Cursed Petrification: Petrifies all enemies in a chosen location. Cursed Necromancy: Reanimates dead creatures to serve as allies. Night Vision: As an undead, Wiz has the ability to see in the dark. Magic: Wiz is an incredibly powerful mage who mastered the magical arts, being able to cast many magic branches and even invisible spells without chanting. Fire Resist: Raises resistance against fire-based attacks. Anti-Devil Curses: Wiz learns unspecified anti-devil curses in anticipation for her duel with Vanir. Basic Magic: Wiz has been shown to use basic magic. Due to her high magical power, her use of it far eclipses the likes of Kazuma. Freeze: Creates a chill able to freeze the surface of the target's body. Intermediate Magic: Wiz has been shown to use intermediate magic on occasion. Freeze Gust: Creates a freezing white fog. Sleep: A curse that puts the target to sleep without them noticing. Paralyze: Prevents the target from moving. Advanced Magic: As a powerful Arch Wizard, Wiz has access to advanced magic. She has specialized ice-type spells: Crystal Prison: Summons a ball of ice that encases the victim in a prison of ice. Cursed Crystal Prison: A more powerful version of Crystal Prison that instantly encases the victim in a prison of ice. One of Wiz's most used spells. Bottomless Swamp: Creates a dark-purple goo swamp that swallows anyone above it. Cursed Lightning: Shoots a piercing bolt of black lightning. Wiz is capable of killing a dragon in one hit with this spell. Inferno: Summons enormous flames that incinerate that surrounding area. Light of Saber: Creates a beam of light that cleanly slices the target. It was used to cut through the barrier around the Devil King's castle. Lightning Strike: Summons bolts of lightning from the sky to strike their opponent. Creation Magic: Wiz can also use spells for elemental construct creation. Create Earth Golem: Creates an earthen golem from the ground soil. Create Earth Wall: Creates a earthen wall or shield from the ground soil. Detection Magic: Wiz can use spells to locate traps, enemies and treasures: Enemy Search: Reacts to the enemy's presence in the target. Trap Search: Reacts to the trap presence in the target. Teleportation Magic: Magic branch that allows the user to transport a target to a different location instantly. Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to a marked location. Each user can have 3 marked locations for teleportation. Wiz's marked locations are the entrance of Axel, the Crimson Demon Village (formerly Arcanletia) and the entrance of the World Largest Dungeon in Elroad. Random Teleport: A spell that sends the target to an undetermined location. Explosion Magic: A special branch of magic that summons a single beam of light that detonates at the target, creating a devastating blast of pure magical power. However, it consumes so much MP, being a single shot spell. Even Wiz can just use it once a day, costing so much MP she becomes unable to cast any other spell, like Teleport, after casting it.    Wiz usually uses some of the useless and defective products of her shop.

   Rosary: According to Wiz, it leads to "wonderful encounters", but it actually attracts monsters. While trying to get rid of Vanir in the past, Wiz used a few magic tools against him:[1]

   Forced Teleport Scroll: A scroll with a spell that forcibly teleports every living being in the area to another location. Barrier Tool: An item bought from the Crimson Demons that create a triangular barrier that can't be broken, both from inside and outside. Forbidden Crystal: A magical crystal that consumes the user's lifespan, boosting their magical power.

   Keys: Amy

   Age 20 Amy (エイミー) is a playable character in KonoSuba: Fantastic Days. She's a farmer of Samuidoh Amy is a well-endowed woman with long brown hair that reaches the waist. Like other human-animal, she has animal ears and also has a dog's tail.

   Amy wears a long and green off-shoulder dress, a white apron, leather corset and boots. Personality

   Amy is a warm and soft-spoken person. Although she is compassionate and loving, Amy is also very indulgent, not just spoiling her step-sister Mia, but everyone under her care. Also, like other beastmen, Amy has a voracious appetite, reason why she loves cooking, particularly the vegetables she raises at her farm. However, although Amy lives by selling the vegetables she raises, Amy is awful at advertise them Amy is a farmer in Samuidoh, raising vegetables gattle and selling it in other towns.

   10 years ago, she got very sick during a snowfall, and Mia risked her live to go to another town buying her medicine. Since then, Amy takes care of Mia, living together and acting like her "big sis".

   She settle in Axel after opening a cafe that sells Samuidoh vegetables, working her waitress. Abilities

   Beastman Abilities: As a human-animal, Amy is able to raise incredibly delicious vegetables, at the same time she has terrible advertisement capacity. Sage: As sage, Amy can use both healing and support magic, as well as use magic to control nature. Heal: Instantly heals a person's wounds. Protection: A spell that increases physical resistance. Breath of the Earth: A spell that grows plants at incredible speeds.

10. #10Arnes

    Keys: Arnes

    Age 18 Arnes (アーネス, Ānesu) was a High-Ranked Demon who, alongside Host, served and worshipped Wolbach, the Goddess of Sloth and Violence Arnes has the appearance of a beautiful and voluptuous woman in her twenties, with cat-like yellow eyes and free-flowing waist-length red hair with an ahoge. She has pointed ears similar to an elf and a strange love heart-shaped mark on her chest.

    She also has some demonic features such as goat-like horns sprouting from the sides of her head and bat-like wings protruding from her back which she could use to fly, and an arrow-tip shaped tail.

    Arnes usually wears very revealing attire similar to the succubi, consisting of a gold choker, knee-high boots, underwear, a bikini top and sleeved gloves. When travelling incognito, Arnes would wear a short cloak with a hood adorned with animal ears to cover her more inhumane features. Personality

    Arnes was a genuinely loyal and caring Wolbach's follower, being completely devoted to her master. She was also devastated when Chomusuke failed to recognize her. Although she was usually disdainful and short fuse, Arnes was well-mannered too, never starting a fight. According to Megumin, Arnes was the type who is tough on the outside, but soft on the inside.[1]

    Also, while she is a demon, Arnes was a very reasonable person who kept promises, and moreover never tried to deceive nor coerce anybody, she seemed to be very unlucky, since, even without doing anything wrong, Arnes was repeatedly made of scapegoat for someone's else crimes, ambushed and forced to retreat in tears while she was chased by an angry mob.

    In the anime version, Arnes becomes resentful and distrustful of humanity because of all the lies and betrayals she suffered after buying a cursed magical item crafted by Megumin's father. Arnes is a High-Ranked Demon, a powerful immortal creature from Hell which fed off of negative emotions to survive. According to Megumin, it would've taken the combined effort of several Arch Wizards using advanced magic to defeat her. She is able to defeat around twenty adventurers simultaneously with her bare fists. However, because Arnes is a demon, she is weak to holy magic by priests.

    Flight: Arnes has the ability to fly in the sky, using wings.

    Aura Projection: As a High-Ranked Demon, Arnes can magically project her aura around herself in order to herd minor monsters.

11. #11Arue

    Keys: Arue

    Age 14

    Arue (あるえ) is Megumin and Yunyun's former classmate and an aspiring author.

    Like all Crimson Demons, Arue has dark brown hair and red pupils. She has shoulder-length hair drills. Also, she is consistently described as voluptuous, hardly looking the same age as her classmates.

    Arue usually wears the basic Red Prison uniform, consisting of a pink shirt dress, a knee-length black cloak and a red and orange-striped tie, alongside black stockings, boat shoes, a purple bat-clip at the back of her head (in the anime she uses a ribbon) and the same eyepatch as Megumin.     Arue is a severe case of chuunibyou, even among the Crimson Demons.     As an aspiring author, Arue is very inventive, creating fake stories and narratives (like her eyepatch being a seal for her real powers)[3] she mixes with reality, often to entertain her fellows or add drama to her speeches. Arue is so devoted to writing novels that she refuses any job not related to the written,[2] as well as is very sensitive to criticism of her manuscripts.[4] Arue also has great interests in real life elements she can use on her novels, as Megumin's adventures,[3] or people she can use as model for her characters, as Yunyun.[5]

    Age 20 Bukkororii (ぶっころりー, Bukkororī) is a member of the Crimson Demons and the son of the shoe-shop owner, who is also Megumin's next-door neighbor. Bukkororii is a young man with light-black hair and crimson red eyes, a trait he shares with the rest of the Crimson Demons. His hair is chin-level and very messy as he never bothers to comb it. Like all other Crimson Demons, Bukkororii's eyes glow intensely when experiencing some kind of emotional rush.

    He wears long blue pants, a long-sleeved button-upped shirt with a brown waistcoat over it, an orange cravat, a knee-length brown cape, a waist apron, rubber shoes, and finger-less gloves. Personality

    Like most Crimson Demons, Bukkororii has a chuunibyou personality. He often introduces himself in a dramatic fashion and strikes cringeworthy poses. Also, like many others of his kin, Bukkororii is a NEET who failed to assume his father's business, spending most of his time lazing around his house or "patroling the village", making up excuses to do nothing, as to be waiting for the right moment to show his real powers to the world.[2]

    Also, as a NEET, Bukkororii doesn't have the guts or social skills to interact or even confess to the others. Futhermore, because of his lack of social skills, he usually makes inappropriate or creepy remarks while talking to other people, since he isn't tactful either. In addition, once Bukkororii gets embarrassed or frustrated for some reason, he shuts himself at home for days, depressed though he has strong blast magic.

    Age 19 Carla has a gal look, with tanned skin and blonde long hair, with a side ponytail. She has, according to Kazuma and Dust, a perfect body type, with an ample chest.

    As a succubus, she uses a black/pink heart-themed lingerie with black stockings and sheer gloves. In her human disguise, she uses a appealing outfit, with just a low-cut vest, short short, white stockings and a sleeveless cape. Personality

    Carla is a prideful and cheerful succubus, and like her co-workers, she is a big Vanir's fan, and is willing to put aside her responsibilities in order to get closer to him. According to Kazuma, Carla is the type who easily falls in love. However she is also short-tempered, resentful and willing to misunderstandings, and Carla often blames other people by the problems she made by herself.

    Carla is a rare type succubus. After became a Succubus Queen, she got enough power to destroy cities, however she lost it after fighting Aqua.

    Charm: Seduces the target, putting them under the user's control. It does not work against the undead. Dreams: Controls with what the target dreams about. She wears a black and purple tube top along with a long blue scarf around her neck as well as dark brown stockings with green diamond markings on both sides and light brown boots. Personality

    Cremea, like her party member, is in love with Mitsurugi. For such reason she is usually jealous and prone to anger when any other girl tries to make a move on him, as well as when someone does harm to Mitsurugi. History

    Nothing is known of Cremea's history prior to her meeting Mitsurugi, but it is assumed that she has known him for a while, considering the fact Mitsurugi has become a well known adventurer whom she developed feelings for.     Dodonko is a young girl with light-black hair and crimson red eyes, a trait she shares with the members of her clan. She usually wears the basic Red Prison uniform, consisted of a pink shirt dress, a knee-length black cloak which Dodonko chose to tie around her waist, and a red and orange-striped tie.

    Unlike Funifura, she wears a ponytail tied by a red ribbon, a longer skirt and boat shoes alongside executive black socks. Dodonko is also a bit taller than Funifura. Personality

    Like her friend Funifura, Dodonko is a frivolous girl, only interested in gossip and romance, being the later influenced by her chuuni liking, fantasing about rescuing her prince charming from the deepest dungeon.[1] However she has no experience interacting with the opposite gender, getting nervous when speaking with men like Kazuma, and jealous of Megumin's love life.[2]

She wears an orange tube top with a brown v-neck cut as well as an orange skirt with white frills underneath, in addition to a short white hooded coat with two blue diamond shaped pins. Personality

    Hyoizaburoo is a stoic magic item craftsman. He is very passionate and prideful about his craft, however because of his chuunibyou and inability to control how much magical power he puts in his creations, Hyoizaburoo's products either have inconvenient side-effects or are totally defective.[2] Also, since he is stubborn, insisting in just selling his creations to those who "really appreciate its value", Hyoizaburoo drives away costumers and is unable to sell anything.[3]

    To make things worse, Hyoizaburoo is a waster, often investing his family money on his job, letting them with no food on the table, while he spends the night drinking wine and snacking.     Age 6 Komekko (こめっこ) is Megumin's younger sister and a member of the Crimson Demons Komekko greatly resembles her older sister in regards to their facial complexion, and shares the characteristic of Crimson Demons— red eyes and straight brown hair. According to Aqua, Komekko is basically a mini version of Megumin.[1]

    Komekko keeps her short hair tied in pigtails with red ribbons and occasionally uses a yellow star-shaped hair-clip on her bangs. As a result of her family's financial situation, all of her clothes are Megumin's hand-me-downs, so her mage cloak also has some noticeable patch works. Personality

    Komekko has a lively and cheerful attitude. As a Crimson Demon, she also has a chuunibyou personality, being facinated by "cool" people or stuff, as her "powerful and respected" Arch Wizard sister or a High-Ranked Demon like Host, which let her amazed. Like her clan, Komekko is also very smart, demonstrated when she solved the puzzle Host had been working for days, in no time. Also due to her innocence, Komekko is a very approachable, as she can make friends with anyone, even a demon, to the point of convincing him to be her familiar in the future. On the other hand, Komekko can be fierce like a beast when she is angry, enough to frighten even demons.

    Komekko can eat continuously, as fast as she can put food in her mouth. She is also incredibly intelligent, as show by solving the Dark God's seal puzzles.

    Demon Summoning: Komekko is an extremely talented demon summoner, being able of realize extremely difficult and delicate rituals even though it would take at least a decade of hard work to summon even the weakest type of devil, being able to summon Host, a high-ranked demon, with shell of a cicada as offering.

    Age 22 Luna (ルナ) is a supporting character in the KonoSuba series. As the receptionist of Axel Adventurer Guild, she is the go-to woman for those visiting the guild. Luna is a gentle looking woman with a wavy hair and "generous bosom" that gives her a mature look.[1] She is usually seen with a smile. In the anime, her outfit consists of blonde hair tied back in a bun, gold-colored eyes, a red ribbon worn around her neck, a white off the shoulder low-cut top that reveals a large amount of cleavage, with black shoulders and sleeve cuffs, low-rise jean shorts, and short brown boots. It was later adapted to the light novel.[2]

    In the manga, she has a long dark brown hair down and dresses more modestly, wearing a mob cap along with a laced and frilled dress, with a bow tied at the top. Her anime appearance is also seen in the manga, however she seems to be a worker at an arcade in Japan, so this may be a different character.[3] Personality

    Luna is a very kind and caring young woman who has a big sisterly aura, taking care of the newbie adventures by doing favors and giving them advices. She is one of the few KonoSuba characters with common sense, and always takes everything in stride and holding it together. However Luna is can be very strong-willed and sly at work, as she is willing to seize the moment and even manipulate the adventurers in order to oblige them to complete difficult and outstanding quests She has luck magic

    Age 17 Mel looks like a petite, yet voluptuous, young girl with pink eyes and green hair, with a spiky ponytail, a golden scrunchie and a lightning hairclip. She has pointy ears and a little fang. She uses a golden leather halter strep top, v-kini and yellow stockings (over another pair of black stockings), dark blue bolero jacket and platform boots. She uses two white belts on her waist and chest, and purple mini shorts. She also possesses four drums on her waist, each one with the tomoe emblem, and spike bangles on her arms and legs.

    When Mel goes berserk, a pair of horns grow on her head and her eyes shine yellow. Personality

    Mel is a mischievous spirit who loves playing pranks on her friends, since she believes it strengthens friendship bonds. At first Mel was more violent on her pranks, but she learned to take it easy. Mel also has symptoms of abstinence if she doesn't prank anyone for too long. However, while Mel enjoys pranks, she is actually naive, easily falling on someone else's mischief.

    Mel is also a loner who wishes, most of all, to make friends, to the point of trying to kill someone, so she could revive the same person in order to become friends. This insane line of thought was corrected by Kazuma, although Mel still lacks common sense. She was also too prideful to accept someone as her friend easily at first too. Mel is also traumatized by the time she was alone at her seal, and Mel believes no one deserves such fate.

    When she goes to her emotional limit, Mel goes berserk, being capable of killing anyone, even her friends, if she isn't calmed down.

    According to Daniel, Mel is a powerful lighting spirit, stronger than the Thor's Hammer.

    Kyouya Mitsurugi (御剣みつるぎ 響夜きょうや) is a japanese citizen who was reincarnated to the Parallel World like Kazuma. He is one of Belzerg's mightiest adventurers who wields the legendary Cursed Sword Gram, as well as the leader of his own party with Cremea and Fio Mitsurugi appears as a naive handsome young man with light brown hair, dark eyes (blue eyes in the anime) and a fit physique. He wears over a black mesh a full set of plate armor with glimmering blue color and gold gilded borders, as well as a wing motif on the chest area.

    Under his armor he wears a black cape hangs from his shoulders. While working at the pub, Nerimaki wears a waitress outfit. Personality

    Like all Crimson Demons, Nerimaki is very clever, and as the proud daughter of a pub owner, she is also a dealer with a great business acumen, seizing any opportunity to make profit,[2] although Nerimaki is greedy as well. Futhermore, as a barmaid, she is very polite and patient, dealing with the daily harrasment from the drunk clients of her family's pub with charm.[1]

    Also, like other Crimson Demons, Nerimaki has a chuunibyo personality, and she is obsessed with cool poses, often practising it during her free time.[3] History

    Helping around since a young age at Bar Succubus Lingerie which was run by her family, Nerimaki still maintained the highest grades at school after Megumin, Yunyun and Arue,[4] though she wasn't as close to them as Funifura and Dodonko were. She somehow enlisted Yunyun's help with practising her poses during one school holiday when the loner was wandering around the Crimson Demon Village alone.

    Ran displays a jolly personality, usually being thrilled near renowned adventurers like Mitsurugi, and acting like a fangirl. However, she has a sneaky side, pretending to be Kazuma's fan too at the service of the Guild. Ran is also very frivolous, getting too worried about her reputation with the men in the Guild, as well as impatient, asking for a bigger payment in exchange of keep enduring Kazuma's company. Soon after signing up as an adventurer, Ran was hired by Luna to pose as a fan of Kazuma in order to motivate his party, which had been slacking off ever since becoming rich, into taking difficult quests for the Guild. Initially accepting the seemingly easy job that simply consisted of listening to Kazuma's adventuring stories before Luna timely shows up and requests him to take quests, she soon found out it was anything but when upon introducing herself to Kazuma, he forced her to down a glass of strong whiskey as a sign of being his fan. Despite being put out by the drink, Ran's presence alone managed to force Kazuma into accepting the quest offered by Luna that involved fighting a Titan Golem guarding some mysterious ancient ruins.

    After Kazuma's return to the Guild, Ran had to feign admiration while listening to the apparently blown-up accounts of his battles at the ruins. She got a pleasant break when Mitsurugi, whom Ran was actually a fan of, happened upon them talking, though she was then surprised when Kazuma blurted out about him having defeated the Swordmaster once, following which Luna again used her for making Kazuma agree to investigate the interior of those same ruins. Ran belongs to the Adventurer Class. As such, she can learn some minor skills, spells, and abilities of other classes as well as her own.

She is a minor supporting character in the main KonoSuba series, as well as a major supporting character of the Limelight spinoff series. Rin is a young attractive girl with a very childish face who has vibrant green eyes and brown hair. She has free-flowing bangs and long straight hair which she ties into a ponytail. For some unexplained reason, Rin has a tanuki tail. She also has fairly small breasts for her age, a fact that Dust often teases her for.

    Rin usually wears a black choker, a bright green fleece with a striped pink t-shirt underneath, a dark green waist-length cloak with a fur collar, black shorts, and a black stocking belt. She also has a smiley face button attached to her fleece. Personality

    Rin usually keeps a calm behavior, with a bit of a cheek, showing contentment and getting frustrated with the antics of those around her, whom she describes as "stupid", although Rin admits she has fun with them.[1] Rin is also very straightforward, casually rejecting Yunyun's friendship request because the later's superior skills as mage would make such friendship problematic for her.[2]

    Rin is a very confident as adventurer, acting as Kazuma's veteran and showing pride of her Intermediate Magic skills, although she is also the more prone to panic in her party.[3] While Rin has a carefree side, she is also irritable, not letting teasing lie, like Dust's contant hints and jokes about Rin's bust size (about which she is self-conscious), often reacting violently, casting her Lightning spell.

    Intermediate Magic: As a Wizard, Rin can use Intermediate Magic and, like many other spellcasters, she was told that Basic Magic was useless and skipped over them. Rin didn't reach the level of Advanced Magic yet.

    Blade of Wind: Creates blades of wind to violently slash the enemy. Wind Curtain: Summons a whirlwind to act as a protective barrier. It can stop a hail of arrows.[3] Lightning: Summons a lightning bolt. She often uses it on Dust when he annoys her. Fireball: Shoots a ball of fire that detonates at the target. It was powerful enough to incinerate roughly 10 kobolds at once.[4] Freeze Gust: Creates a freezing white fog. It managed to disorient and damage Rouzelli, a red dragon, who was weak against ice-type attacks.

    Age 17 Taylor (テイラー, Teirā) is a crusader of the Eris Order, and the leader of the party consisting of Dust, Keith, and Rin, whom resides in Axel, the Town of Beginners Taylor is a bit taller than the rest of his party and has short brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a headband, a sleeveless shirt with a necktie, a pauldron armor on the shoulder, a trousers and leather boots. He carries a large sword. Personality

    As a Crusader, Taylor has a more serious and stoic personality. As a party leader, he is conscientious, working hard to command his party in battle. Taylor is also a bit sarcastic, by the way he teased Kazuma, but Taylor is respectful too, complimenting Kazuma's quick-thinking and inventiveness.[1]

    Taylor is also famous in Axel for his inflexible attitude. Although he has a lighter reputation than his more troublemakers party members, because Taylor is more law-abiding, men in Axel don't let him know about the Succubus Cafe.[2] Also, unlike his party members, Taylor is even-tempered.

    One-Handed Sword: Raises proficiency with one-handed swords.

    Shield: Taylor usually fights using a shield, using it to both defense and attacks.

    Decoy: A skill that attracts the attention of enemies, thus redirecting enemy attacks towards the user. This skill was seen to be used during the Battle of Axel - where he attracted the attention of Kobolds, allowing Dust to exploit their openings.

    Age 17 Keith (キース, Kīsu) is an archer and a member of a party consisting of Taylor, Dust, and Rin, whom resides in Axel, the Town of Beginners. Keith appears to be a fit young man with black hair and black eyes. His outfit consists of a long, black coat with white furs. Personality

    Keith is a bohemian and a punk similar to Dust and Kazuma. According to Rin, he is a thug at the same level as Dust as well, scamming alongside the later outside the Darkness' wedding.[1] Keith is also a womanizer, to the point of practicing kiss in the mirror and change his underwear everyday in order to get ready for any girl.[2] He is a jokester too, often making fun of his party members.

    During the temporary party transfer of Kazuma and Dust, Keith was too prideful to rely on a weaker class adventurer at first, however after being saved by his quick-thinking and inventiveness twice, Keith started to admire Kazuma, even playfully praying to the later's adventurer card after discovering how high is Kazuma's Luck.[3]

    As a member of the Archer class, Keith can use a variety of skills that help him with his archery. Because he is from a specialized class, his Archer skills are superior than Kazuma's.[2]

    Bow: Raises proficiency with bow and arrows. Foresight: Allows a user to see far into the distance. Also gives the user night vision. Snipe: Increases the distance and accuracy of an arrow. Damage is based on Dexterity while Accuracy is based on Luck.

    Age 20 Sena has long, straight black hair worn with hairpins for decoration and slick sharp purple tainted pupils with a voluptuous figure. According to Kazuma, she gives the impression of a secretary, being an intelligent beauty.

    She usually wears triangular glasses and her prosecutor uniform, consisting of blue skirt suit and beret with golden trimmings and borders, white shirt with 3 bottom round cuff, red tie, pantyhose and court shoes. Personality

    Sena is a diligent person who takes very seriously her job, making sure her investigations and trial proceedings are conducted fairly. Although she looks like an ice queen, due to her tough attitude with suspects, as well as her high professionalism, Sena is more humble and polite with those who aren't criminals or suspects, becoming more subservient.

    Although she is usually meticulous, due to her habit of hyperfocus in one subject, as well as getting carried away by both rumors and her suspects' bad reputation, Sena is prone to commit mistakes while conducting an investigation and falsely accuses a innocent for a crime, apologizing humbly[1] or getting frustrated, on the verge of crying,[2] once she realizes her mistake.

    Futhermore, Sena is secretly a "Boys Love" fangirl, being obsessed by homosexual relationships and getting ecstatic with the possibility all Axel men could be secretly homosexuals. This is her weak spot, as the succubi were able to bribe her, using their skills to help her live up her fantasies, in exchange of Sena turning a blind eye to their shop activities sena has a magical bell that tells the truth or not.

32. #32Levy

    Keys: Levy, Receptionist Succubus

    Age “unknown” The Receptionist Succubus is one of the employees of the Succubus Cafe that services male adventurers in Axel.[1]

    She appears as a beautiful woman with a slender body, long pink hair, cyan eyes, and pointed ears.

    She wears the typical lingerie her fellow Succubi wear when on duty in the shop, but switches to more casual wear during the daytime in order to avoid rousing suspicion. Personality

    The Receptionist Succubus is usually a calm woman with a mature and charming aura. Even staying in the middle of the Adventurer Guild, which is life-threatening for her, she keeps her cool.[2]

    She was the Succubus who first greeted Dust, Keith, and Kazuma on their initial visit to the Cafe, and after leading Kazuma to his seat explained to him the nature of their services, which practically allowed anything the patrons wanted.[1]

    When Sena leading the Association for Protecting Women's Chances of Marriage launched a police raid on the Cafe, she according to Dust's idea helped pose the Cafe as a fortune telling service for consulting male adventurers, and on the day of the raid served Dust and a helmeted regular patron asked to help by the Loli Succubus as part of the act. Despite managing to fool Sena during the raid because she was successfully convinced of the town's male adventurers being gay, when the royal prosecutor returned to volunteer at the Cafe alongside Darkness on the following day, the way the crowd of regular patrons leered at her and other busty Succubi's bodies gave them away. Force to confess the truth about the Cafe with Dust and other Succubi later on, the Receptionist Succubus helped explain to royal prosecutor how they reduced Axel's crime rate by keeping the desires of men under control, before the Cafe came to a compromise with Sena by offering to make the men she likes dream about her in addition to dreams for her that depict her wildest fantasies.

    As a lesser demon, the Receptionist Succubus is able to feed on the men's vitality and use that power to fight.

    Charm: Seduces the target, putting them under the user's control. It does not work against the undead.

    Dreams: Controls with what the target dreams about. It's done by touching their forehead and casting the spell.

33. #33Soketto

    Age 21 Soketto (そけっと) is a member of the Crimson Demons and a fortune teller in the Crimson Demon Village Soketto has flowing long hair and her clan's deep crimson red eyes. Even among the village, she is acknowledged to be the most beautiful of the Crimson Demons. Personality

    Soketto is a strong-willed and diligent person who likes to train, and like most Crimson Demons, she often spends time in the mountains near the village practicing her moves and magic spells. Soketto also has a liking for weapons. Also, despite she have a friendly demeanour, Soketto is resentful, and is willing to beat[1] or use her divinations to spread the secrets of those who anger her.[2] History

    Soketto was known to be studious ever since her school days, and frequently visited the library of the village school to read all kinds of books, though eventually she phased out reading for physical training in the forest outside the village.[3] Yet ever since graduating and opening a fortune teller business, Soketto found herself constantly stalked by Bukkororii, whom she pretended not to notice despite finding it vexing.[1]

    One day when taking her walk through the village and browsing the general store, she heard Megumin and Yunyun nearby discussing a cool-looking wooden sword, thus promptly purchased it and walked outside before Megumin could finish asking a question to her. Subsequent to some test swinging, Soketto started kicking trees to dislodge falling leaves that she could hack at, only to be blown into the air when the stalking Bukkororii suddenly cast Tornado at her. Managing to land safely by casting wind magic, she walked off into the forest after being unable to find the culprit nearby. Soketto proceeded to fight against a sloth of One-Punch Bears, and was barely able to shield herself with a water barrier from the Inferno cast by Bukkororii. Because of her diligence in training daily against monsters, Soketto had levelled up into the 50s, something that is rarely seen even among Crimson Demons.[1]

    Divination: As the Crimson Demons' foremost and only fortune teller, Soketto is able to predict the future to some extent using her magic, though nothing will show up if it is something concerning her own destiny.[5]

    Advanced Magic: Like all Crimson Demons, Soketto is a powerful Arch Wizard who mastered Advanced Magic. According to Bukkororii, she prefers using lightning-based spells.[1]

    Inferno: Summons enormous flames that incinerate the surrounding area. Lightning Strike: Summons bolts of lightning from the sky to strike their opponent. Light of Saber: Creates a beam of light that cleanly slices the target.[9] Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to marked locations. Equipment

    Crystal Ball: The tool Soketto uses for displaying her divinations.

34. #34Yuiyui

    Age 44 Yuiyui (ゆいゆい) is Megumin's mother and a member of the Crimson Demons Yuiyui is a beautiful middle-aged woman with straight, dark hair which falls down to her waist and slight winkles on the corner of her lips and eyes. She has the characteristic black hair and red eyes of the Crimson Demons, but also sports a tired, calm look as opposed to the more excited members of her clan.

    She wears a long, sleeveless, high neck dress, armbands on her forearms, and over-the-knee boots. Personality

    Yuiyui is a loving and unswerving mother who loves her family wholeheartedly. However, behind her gentle and calm facade, there is a ruthless mother figure, who is willing to both threat with a smile at her face,[2] as inflict cruel punishments on her family, like encasing her husband's entire body, except for his head, in ice and abandoning him in the forest filled with monsters [3]

    Also, although Yuiyui cares about her daughters' future, but since they are from a poor family, she is willing to go too far in order to secure their future. Yuiyui is too strong-willed, treacherous and greedy, and is capable of trap her daughter in the same room as a wealthy young man so she could be a gold-digger, using insidious magic spells against those who disagree with her methods

    Intermediate Magic: Although she is an Arch Wizard who mastered Advanced Magic, Yuiyui can also use insidious Intermediate Magic spells, demonstrated by how she easily put Darkness and Hyoizaburoo out of action:

    Sleep: A curse that puts the target to sleep without them notice. She uses Sleep on Darkness, her husband and even on her own daughter, Megumin. Lock: Allows the user to lock or seal any object. Paralyze: Makes a person unable to move. Ankle Snare: A spell that traps the target's feet on the ground. Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to a marked locations. Each user can have 3 marked locations for teleportation.

35. #35Yunyun

    Keys: Yunyun

    Age 14 Yunyun (ゆんゆん) is a main supporting character of the KonoSuba series and deuteragonist of the Explosion spin-off. She is a member of the Crimson Demons and daughter of the Village Chief, as well as former classmate and self-proclaimed rival to Megumin.

    Yunyun is a young girl with crimson-colored eyes, a determined and timid look, and longish black hair (dark brown in anime) tied in two twin tails with red ribbons that lie on her shoulders. She is a little taller than Megumin, with more balanced proportions.[2]

    Yunyun usually wears a black robe and mantle, similar in design to Megumin’s. She wields a silver wand and wears a dagger on her hip. Underneath the mantle, she wears a low-cut blouse, and an ultra-short, pink miniskirt as well as a pair of dark toned pink stockings and brown boots. She wears a revealing outfit not because of personal preference, but because Dust tricked her into thinking it is a good way to make friends.

    Although never shown visually, she has a barcode on her inner thigh. Personality

    Unlike other Crimson Demons, Yunyun is very sensitive and timid, and is often embarrassed by the chuunibyou customs of her tribe. Because of her shyness and lack of chuuni tendencies she is ostracized by her clan, who see her as a weirdo, and never developed any social skills, ending up as a loner who usually spends her time in the the Guild playing games, (including two-player games) by herself.

    Yunyun is often desperately searching for friends, stalking those she wants to befriend and making up excuses to run into them, as she lacks confidence to directly approach people or ask for favors. Yunyun is also very unlucky, as she is normally nowhere to be found when someone is looking for her,[3] or she befriends suspicious people like Dust. In the anime, Yunyun also compulsively lies to hide the fact that she is a loner.

    Due to her poor communication skills, Yunyun is often misinterpreted by those around her. She became famous in Axel for rescuing beginner adventurers in trouble, and then running off while apologizing for "doing something unnecessary" instead of accepting their thanks. Because of this people started to leave her alone on purpose to show gratitude, believing Yunyun disliked associating with others.[4]

    Despite her intelligence - which is high even by Crimson Demon standards - and good awareness of her surroundings,[5] her lack of social skills and interpersonal relationships make Yunyun extremely naive.

    As she is a prodigy in the Crimson Demon tribe, Yunyun is a very talented spellcaster, just losing to Megumin in terms of magical talent. Also, as a loner for almost her entire life, she is able to almost completely conceal her presence from others, even if it were to be a small object like a table.

    Basic Magic: Before heading out to the frontline to defeat Wolbach with Kazuma's party, Yunyun learned basic magic intending to use it to help her companions on their trip. Create Water: Shoots a jet of pure and clean water from atmospheric moisture. Detection Magic: Yunyun also learned the wizard's variant of Enemy Detection. Enemy Search: Reacts to the enemy's presence in the target. Intermediate Magic: Yunyun was forced to learn intermediate magic under pressure to save both Komekko from monsters. Blade of Wind: Creates blades of wind to violently slash the enemy. Fireball: Shoots a ball of fire that detonates on the target. Freeze Gust: Creates a freezing white fog. Lightning: Summons a lightning bolt. Sleep: A curse that puts the target to sleep without them notice. Unlock: Allows the user to open up any lock or unseal any object.     Axel (アクセル, Axel) is a city in the Kingdom of Belzerg which serves as the starting point for rookie adventurers, and is the primary location of the KonoSuba series Axel is the farthest place from the Devil King's territory. Full of low-level monsters, it is used as a begginer town, which the rookie adventures can level-up until they are able do deal with the more powerful monsters from outside the city, reason why it's extremely important to the Kingdom of Belzerg.

    Unlike other cities from Belzerg, Axel is a peaceful city, as it is too distant from the battle field of the war against the Devil King. The monsters in the forest were already wiped out a long time ago, and even children can leave the city with impunity, with just a guard in the gate. For such reason, no one would pay for starter quests like harvesting herbs and hunting monsters near the city.[1]

    The city is lair of some weak monsters like Giant Toads,[1] Goblins,[2] and Lovely Rabbits.[3] However it is also the lair of powerful, but dormant monsters, like the Kowloon Hydra.[4] It is also in the route of caravans of vegetables like the Cabbages.[5] When a more powerful monster or the winter comes out, most of the weak monsters hide-out.

    As the Kingdom of Belzerg is the only country whose borders overlap those of the Devil King's Territory, their border is heavily protected. In order to help them, surrounding countries send soldiers to join the border guard, with Elroad being the only exception, assisting with defense costs instead because of their country's wealth.[1]

    The Belzerg royal family consists of the king, the first prince, and Iris.

    The village is home to the Crimson Demons, and is the birthplace of Megumin and Yunyun. Located within a forest filled with dangerous monsters, people rarely travel there by foot despite a well-trodden path leading to it, preferring magic methods such as Teleportation.[1]

    Due to being a rather small village, many residents have specialized tasks reminiscent of small communities pre-urbanization in both North American colonies and Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries. There is a tailor, baker, fisherman, a tapster, and even a fortune teller (world-specific), while some are unemployed.

    Their community main economic activity is the tourism, as several "tourist attractions" exist in and around the village, obtained by the inhabitants to allure people into sightseeing there.[2] The names of these attractions along with some local businesses, which despite being alluring are in most cases totally bogus, were given by "the most intelligent Crimson Demon" for attracting customers from outside the village.

    The Adventurer's Guild (冒険者ギルド) is an governmental organisation with facilities spanning many towns that provide various services to adventurers.

    Adventurer Guilds have several important functions such as accepting the registration of new adventurers (which cost 1,000 Eris), offering quests, providing counters to exchange information, buying monster materials, and operating a restaurant and a bar those people can eat and drink at.

    On a national level, the guild maintains adventurer registrations and shares important information across the organization, and each city has its own building, which all function semi-autonomously from each other. The primary goals of the local Guild are to assist and oversees the adventurers in their region.

    The one in Axel also has a magical speaker heard by the whole city to announce emergency quests, and the Guild is also a meeting place for emergency adventuring councils, such as the one held during the attack of the Destroyer.

    Iris is a young girl with blue eyes and straight long blonde hair, free flowing for the most part, but partially braided on the right side of her face. She has an air of class and delicacy, unblemished and clear skin as porcelain,[5] and looks a bit older than she actually is. Iris is a bit smaller than Megumin.

    Around her head, Iris wears a green headband decorated with grapes and leaves. She also wears a long white dress with gold trimming, a cleavage, a blue ribbon on the waist, a blue skirt and white pantyhose. When Iris fights, she uses a white shirt and a black short skirt alongside a blue armor composed by plackart, pauldrons, brassarts, and greaves. Personality

    Despite her first impression as a haughty and unfriendly person due to her shyness,[6] Iris is actually a kind and cheerful child. She is also a very innocent kid, and therefore Iris is very impressionable, often behaving like Kazuma when he is around.[7] Also, because of his influence, she became more extroverted and self-indulgent, but also started to use both tricks[8] and japanese terms[4] that Kazuma taught her. Nonetheless, Iris is very obedient, enjoying being complimented for her good behavior and deeds.

    As the First Princess of Belzerg, Iris puts on a very honorable facade. She is very diligent about her duties as princess and holds high esteem for everybody, restraining herself in order of not be a problem for her servants.[9] Iris is very responsible, not letting herself be caried by her status; and dedicated to her kingdom and subjects, willing to marry the prince of another kingdom in order to secure the future of her own kingdom, despite this prince having a playboy reputation.[10]

    However, Iris is actually very tomboyish, having an adventurous spirit kindled by both Kazuma's stories and curiosity about the life outside the castle, where she lived isolated from the common world. Having a lonely life, since her father and brother are usually on the battlefield[9] and everybody in the castle are her subordinates, Iris started to constantly sneak out of the castle in order to venture out in the city and meet her friends.

    However, due to her isolation in the castle, Iris is very credulous, not knowing common trivia about the world people, flora and fauna. Also, since Iris is often spoiled by her father, who gives her part of the national treasure as allowance,[4] she is unaware of the value of the money. For such reason, Iris doesn't know anything about market price and is willing spend a fortune in simple services and products, since such high value is actually a really small change for her.     Because of the fact that the royal family has adopted heroes into its bloodline on many occasions, Iris is blessed with the many abilities of her powerful ancestors,[11] as the Hero's blood flows especially strongly in her veins.[12] Her skills are on par with the cheats granted to the reincarnated Japanese. As well as possessing many powerful skills, Iris has an incredibly high level due to consuming rare food since childhood.[11] She also received the best education in every field, like martial arts, since she was young.[13] Her level is currently around 60.[14]

    Divine Treasure Holder: As holder of a holy sword passed down in royal family for generations, Iris has a variety of unique skills that royal family members possessing the holy sword can use. Exterion: Produces a glowing slash that slices the target in two. She is able to vary its power, as it has been used to cut through a sword in a spar and to slice a huge and seemingly impenetrable castle gate.[15] Sacred Lightning Blare: Summons a bolt of blight white lightning, blowing a violent gust in the target. This spell is powerful enough to slaughter a crowd of golems in a single blast.[15] Sacred Explode: After charging power, Iris delivers a poweful magical strike that clearly cuts the target and whose blinding light can envelope an entire mountain. It is the ultimate strike that only the most talented of the royal family can use.[16] The strike was created using Explosion Magic as reference.[17] Equipment

    Something-calibur: The holy sword that Iris wields, which is a divine item passed down by her ancestors and is also considered a national treasure.     Chomusuke is a black cat with a red cross-shaped marking on her forehead and bat like wings. She has stubby legs, a big round head, and yellow oval eyes. When she's happy or angry, she shows sharp teeth.

    While she is the goddess who presides over the Violence, Chomusuke ended up losing all her aggressiveness after her power was stolen by Wolbach, to the point she is often bullied by Axel kids and Emperor Zel.[1] Chomusuke seems to be very smart too, being apparently able to understand the human language, as well as inventive, using her fire breath to cook a leftover fish.[2]

    As the goddess that presides over the Sloth and Violence, Chomusuke seems attracted by those traits, enjoying Kazuma's laziness and Megumin's aggressiveness.[1] Chomusuke also likes Wiz, often kneading her large bust.[3][4] However she doesn't like both Arnes, because she tried to take her away from Megumin;[5] and Aqua, whom Chomusuke always scratchs because of her evil aura opposed to Aqua's holy one.[2]

    Like most nobles, Claire has beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair with a blue lock. Her hair is short and mostly free-flowing, with the exception of a single braid on the right side of her head; she has side swept bangs that cover her right eye. Kazuma has noted that Claire is very beautiful and she has the kind of voluptuous body he prefers, although not as voluptuous as Darkness.[2]

    Claire usually wears a full white suit with gold trimming designed for males and a blue necktie, even when going on adventures, which has earned her the nickname "White Suit". However she will wear a less conspicuous blue knight outfit whenever she is travelling incognito. She always carries a short sword around her waist. Sometimes she wears gold earrings with a diamond.

    Claire is, according to Kazuma, a competent, but "too serious" woman.[3] She is so rigorous at her job as Iris' escort that Claire overreacts to defend Iris' honor (even from a noble of equal standing)[2] and to her own mistakes.[3] She also overdoes her tasks when Iris asks her something,[4] and was very overprotective too, until Iris convinced Claire to be more flexible (with great regret) after the Princess proved to be able to take care of herself.[5]

    As a noble, Claire tends to be condescending, as while she is polite with prominent figures of the kingdom, like Mitsurugi[6] or other nobles and the royalty, Claire looks down on people with low social status, like the plebeians. She also tends to be judgmental, showing hostility to people Claire has deemed delinquents, like Dust[7] and particularly Kazuma. She has no common sense too, given that Claire never interacts with the commoners.

    Claire, however, gets carried away when the subject is Iris, for who she is infatuated and puts on a pedestal. Moved by the Princess' positivity and innocence,[8] Claire often tries to spend as much time with Iris as possible (even wanting to bath and sleep together with the Princess),[4][9] overreacts to Iris' opinion about herself[5] and pays undue attention to the Iris' mannerisms,[9] and even tries to pamper the Princess as much as she can.[4]

    While Claire is very strict with Iris, she is very jealous of her too, as Claire believes no one can measure up to somebody as talented, sweet and beautiful as Iris, going so far as to plan to poison another kingdom prince just because he is the Princess' fiancé, in order not to give Iris to anyone else. However, Claire is willing to befriend and entrust the Princess' safety to anybody who also cares about Iris' welfare.[10]

She is also vain, calling herself "the beautiful Axis priestess", and a loafer, spending most of her time sleeping, drinking and picking a fight.[4] As an Axis cultist, Cecily is a scammer too, often employing deceit and coercion in order to convert new followers. Also, because of the Axis Order's taxes and the fact she blows her money in Gelatinous Slime, Cecily lives a life of poverty.[5]

    Moreover, Cecily is also a lustful woman with a sister complex. Her dream is to support a "li'l sisters" harem,[6] and for such reason she hits on handsome rich men insistently. Therefore Cecily has a crush on Lolita types too, always flirting with and teasing them, like running her fingers over them during baths[7] and pranking them to see their cute reactions.[2] She also tries to be called "Big Sister" and "Big Sis", and breathes heavily if successful.[8]

    Furthermore, Cecily works hard to make Eris cultists' life difficult. She often vandalizes their property to kill time and blames them for her problems while playing the victim.[2] Cecily doesn't realize she does bad deeds either.[8] Cecily also follows the Axis Order's doctrine of persecuting demons and undead, agreeing with the Eris cultists that they both should always be slayed[9] and pursuing them in the case of meeting one.[6]

    Lastly, while Cecily looks like an airhead, she is actually quite intuitive, as Cecily recognized Aqua as the Axis Cult's patron goddess at first sight,[3] observed that Claire shares the same passion for "li'l sis" types[10] and sensed that Chris is an Eris cultist.[9] However, although she takes great pride in being a good judge of character,[11] Cecily gets distracted at times, such as failing to notice that Wiz and Vanir are respectively an undead and a demon because she was diverted by their beauty.

    Mitsurugi appears as a naive handsome young man with light brown hair, dark eyes (blue eyes in the anime) and a fit physique. He wears over a black mesh a full set of plate armor with glimmering blue color and gold gilded borders, as well as a wing motif on the chest area.

    Under his armor he wears a black cape hangs from his shoulders. A loose scarf-like red collar covers his neck area, and on his head partially hidden by his hair he wears a gold circlet with a blue jewel in the center.     At first glance, Mitsurugi looks like a traditional novel hero, since he is gallant, well-mannered, hardworking, self-assured, charming and chaste, as well as reliable, because Mitsurugi is always helping those in need and defending the women's honor. He is also very devoted to his vow to save the world from the Devil King, as well as his patron goddess, Aqua, to whom Mitsurugi made the vow.[2]

    Dust is a young man with a slender body, blonde hair, and a black mole under his left eye. His usual outfit consists of a neck choker, a red track jacket with cuffed sleeves, bandaged forearms, brown pants with tucked socks, and black shoes. Personality

    As Lain Sheyka, Dust was a straitlaced knight, strictly following the rules and being always serious and rigorous about his tasks. However, he noticed spending time with the Princess made him more flexible and laid-back.[1] Taylor and Keith noticed Dust was also more polite when they first met, forcing himself to speak like a punk.[2] He was the ideal knight figure for maidens fairy-tales.[3]

    However, after moving to Axel, Dust assumed a more irresponsible, sly and rude demeanor, becoming a known delinquent. He usually commits petty crimes, like picking a fight with novice adventurers,[4] dining and dashing, and scrounging. For such reason, Dust is so used to the jail, that it is like a hotel for him.[5] He also uses the excuse of being "Axel Protector", "being patrolling the city" and "maintaining the public order" to justify his delinquency and to delimit the city as his territory.[6]

    Dust also became slothful, becoming averse to hard-working, often choosing easy money schemes, gambling, or just asking to his friends and party members to buy him a drink or a lunch with no intention of paying them back. Dust usually uses the "we are friends" excuse to suck people's treats and money. He is also very wasteful, usually spending all his money on beer and the Succubus Cafe. For such reason, Dust is always in debt.

    Dust has a perverted personality too, being obsessed with large busts, as he always drops hints about women's bosom, such as sexually harassing well-endowed women or making fun of girls' flat chest. However, after being attacked by Orcs, Dust got traumatized, being uneasy near busty women.[2] He also isn't a simp, thinking Serena is a freak for showing off her pants (in order to turn him into a Puppet), instead of feeling grateful.[7]

    Moreover, Dust is a gossiper, blabbing about Newbie Succubus' failed quest at Kazuma's mansion,[8] and even spreading fake rumors about Serena at Kazuma's request.[9] It is a recurring joke that Dust exposes someone's identity or secret by casually talking about it while greeting the said person. He is also intrusive, interfering in the others' private matters if the subject draws his attention.[10]

    However, while he fell from grace, Dust kept his loyalty as a knight. Although he is usually only acts for self-interest, Dust is still very concerned and grateful to his companions, being willing to bend over backwards in order to help them, such as saving his comrades from dangerous situations, even using his spear skills he promised never use unless something Dust really cares is at stake, to save his friends or his city.     While Dust is said to be one of the strongest adventurers in Axel, Chris[11] and Iris said that Dust is seemingly hiding his true abilities while observing him.[12]

    Spear: Dust was the best spearman of the neighbor kingdom,[11] even managing to fight against a Beginner's Bane with just a staff in hand.[13] However, he vowed never to use a spear unless something really important for him is at stake,[1] although Dust readopted the spear as main weapon after meeting the Princess again.[2] One-Handed Sword: Dust usually fights using a longsword. At first Dust wasn't good using a sword since it is a backup weapon for Dragon Knights.[14] Shield: Dust is able to fight using a shield. Dust used it while replacing Darkness in Kazuma's party[15] and during his fight against Rouzelli.[16] Dragon Tamer: Dust has been beloved by dragons since birth.[11] For such reason, he has great knowledge of dragons, as well as have ease in communicate and tame them.[17] Covenant: Dust has formed a contract with his dragon, Faitfore, which is why his stats increases when she is around, being capable of jumping higher than normal, for example.     Beldia was a no-nonsense and prideful Devil King's General who always tried to inspire fear. Because of his pride, he didn't like to waste his time on weaklings, paying no mind to the Begginer Town Axel[2] and following the Devil King's Army's tradition of sending his minions to fight first, just joining the fight once his Undead Knights were defeated.[1] Beldia was also ruthless in battle, to the point of sadism, enjoying terrorizing his victims with his Herald Death.[2][3]

    However, as a former Knight, Beldia kept some of his honor, valuing selfless acts.[1] He was also very patient, enduring Megumin's attacks for an entire week while processing what was happening,[4] and was willing to letting her off with just a lecture,[2] although Megumin's constant attacks and the supposed disregard for Darkness' sacrifice drove him to nervous breakdowns. Moreover, while Beldia was warm with animals,[4] he was still capable of raising his hand against a woman.[1]

    Lastly, while Beldia looked imposing, he was actually pretty perverted, constantly harassing Wiz in the Devil King's Castle by throwing his head under her skirt[5] and at Wiz's chest, as well as hiding his head in her bathroom while she showers.[6] Beldia was very lively too, by the way he welcomed both Wiz[7] and Sylvia to the Afterlife, waving and filled with joy,[8] also calling Wiz to the great beyond everytime she is on the brink of death. History

    Beldia was once an honourable knight who was unjustly executed, and his grudge over this matter transformed him into a Dullahan. Later on at some unknown point in time, he joined the Devil King's Army, and had one time fought Wiz's party before cursing them all to die, only to remove the curse after Wiz transformed into a Lich and beat him up.[3] The Devil King afterwards sent him to Axel for investigating a mysterious light that had suddenly appeared, which was actually caused by Aqua's appearance in their world.[1]

    After scouting out the area surrounding Axel by himself and discovering the abandoned castle to be a good base of operations,[9] Beldia returned to the Devil King's Castle before heading back there with an army of Undead Knights, which caused all majors cities of Belzerg that were unsure of his goal to uneasily keep their forces on standby.[10]

    Bad News Subsequent to Beldia's forces settling into the abandoned castle, the local weak monsters all laid low in fear of his presence, which in effect did away with a lot of quests that beginner adventurers rely on for a living. Then after enduring recurring daily Explosions which were not only a great nuisance but damaged the castle faster than he and his grunts could repair them, Beldia finally couldn't take it, and so journeyed to Axel for demanding the idiot to stop the Explosions. Megumin though refused his demand, so in fury Beldia casted a curse that would kill her after a week, only to have Darkness take the curse in her place. Although initially pleased to have Megumin tormented by the imminent death of her party member, Beldia was soon unnerved by Darkness' fantasies of the perverted things he would do to her, and was saved from having her follow him back solely because the apologetic Kazuma was restraining the perverted Crusader. He accordingly promised to undo the curse if Megumin managed to reach him at the castle after defeating his army, before returning to make the preparations.[2]

    However, not only did nobody arrive at the castle even when the deadline of Darkness' death had passed, but the daily Explosions still continued. Angered at both the ongoing harassment and the party dishonourably leaving their member to die, Beldia again headed for Axel to call on those misdeeds. Yet after Kazuma chastised Megumin and Aqua for the Explosions, Beldia got a nasty shock when he saw Darkness still very much alive as a result of the curse already Broken by Aqua, who casted an unbelievably powerful Turn Undead that despite the wards on him from the Devil King still caused immense pain. He subsequently sent his army of Undead Knights to slaughter the inhabitants of Axel, only to have them all ignore his command and instead chase after a fleeing Aqua.[1]

    Welcome! Following his army being wiped out by Megumin's Explosion, Beldia was surrounded and attacked by a number of adventurers, yet by throwing his head into air to observe the whole battlefield, he was able to deftly cut them all down. He next cursed the mages attacking him, then began cutting at Darkness who despite unable to hit him fantasized in a way unnerving to him, before defying Kazuma and other Thieves' attempts to Steal his sword.

    Oh!YES! But just as he was about to kill Darkness, Kazuma upon recalling that Undeads are susceptible to water teamed up with other mages to Create Water at Beldia, though the Dullahan managed to dodge all the water, until Aqua flooded the area with Sacred Create Water. Severely weakened, Beldia ended up having his head Stolen by Kazuma and used for soccer, followed by Aqua's Sacred Turn Undead completely purifying him from existence.[1] Beldia was later seen by Wiz at the other side of the river calling for her when she was lingering on the edge of death,[11] and continued muttering to her soon afterwards as she approached death again.[12][12]

    Hans&Beldia Game A copy of him in the form of a physical illusion originating from the traumatic memories of Kazuma's party was also spawned by the Mystery Tower, first glimpsed by Darkness at the midpoint of their trek up, and later making a full appearance at the top floor alongside Hans. As they fought the hated party and their companions, whenever one illusion was defeated he would immediately be regenerated by the other. But Kazuma then instructed Aqua to purify Beldia at the same time Wiz froze Hans, which took out both illusions at once. While the fake Beldia was about to disappear, he rolled his head to peek up the skirts of some accompanying female members of the party as a final act, which in effect expediated his demise when the upset women stomped his head.[13]

    In the anime, Beldia along with Hans reached from the river to pull Sylvia over to their side after the Growth Chimera was shot clean through by the Railgun, yet Sylvia's will to live instead dragged them back into the world of the living in a chimeric body composed from characteristics of all three Devil King's Generals and the Mage-Killer. Beldia proceeded to join Sylvia in seeking revenge on Kazuma's party as well as battle Wiz and Vanir, though he was in the end blown back into death alongside Sylvia by Megumin and Yunyun.[8] Abilities

    As one of the Devil King's General, Beldia was a powerful monster capable of surviving even Megumin's Explosion Magic and Aqua's Sacred Create Water. He never got tired and his focus was attack skills.

Unlimited Strength: Beldia boasts the unlimited strength and stamina of the undead, being able of easy overwhelming Darkness, and defeated numerous rookie adventures with a superhuman speed. Holy Magic Resistance: Thanks to Devil King's protection, Beldia's armor has a high resistance against Holy Magic, being able to survive both Aqua's Turn Undead and Sacred Turn Undead (but not without damage).     Alderp is a middle-aged, tall and obese man. He wears white gloves and red and blue clothes with golden stripes. Alderp wears a wig with long blonde hair and has a blonde moustache.[3]

    Alderp was a selfish, spiteful and corrupt noble, often using his influence and wealthy to game the system in order to condemn his foes on a whim.[4] He was also haughty and nasty, being polite only when it was convenient. Moreover, Alderp was greedy, imposing high taxes in Axel,[5] as well as a cheapskate, making cheap reforms in his Royal Capital manor.[6] For such reasons, there wasn't one person in Axel who didn't hate him.

    Alderp was a perverted and dirty old man too, as he frequently harassed his maids, even using a magic mirror to peep them and his female guests, including Darkness,[6] for who Alderp had a creepy obsession since she was just a child.[4] He is also infamous for forcing many beautiful women who catches his eye to get married with him, so he could have his way with them.[7]

    Alderp was a unscrupulous person as well, who was willing to replace and kill his own son in order to fulfill his plans.[1] He was insidious too, manipulating those around him as pawns through extortion, bribery and coercing, and not just commoners, but also keeping people at national level at his pocket. Alderp also disposed those who have no use for him, like he did to his wives, once he got tired of them.[7]

    On the top of that, Alderp was an abusive and violent person as well, who often beat up both Maxwell and his former wives to vent his frustration and anger, the laters who never pressed charges against him because of Maxwell's power.[7] However, Alderp just put a tough face when he had the upper hand, as Alderp begged for mercy shamelessly once Maxwell broke free of his control.[2]

    As a noble from Axel, at some point Alderp acquired two Divine Items from fallen reincarnated japanese. Using the one for summoning monsters, Alderp was able to summon Max who he thought was just a Low-Ranked Demon prone to forgetting about being owed the price for his assistance, and repeatedly exploited Max's dark powers to drive his rise in Belzerg, becoming the feudal lord of Axel and even more prestigious than House Dustiness.[8] Alderp also committed many crimes, such as forcing many women to marry him before abusing and finally disposing of them, while using Max who he imprisoned in the basement to cover his tracks.[7]

    Alderp at some point adopted a talented kid named Walther, planning to help him development both his skills as prestige in order to switch places with him though another Divine Item, before using his body for marrying Lalatina, the heiress of the Dustiness household, whom he was obsessed with ever since she was young.[1]

    One day when he was in the basement with Max at his Axel mansion which was emptied of other people, a large unstable piece of coronatite was suddenly Teleported above the estate, and its resulting explosion obliterated the mansion, though Alderp himself was unharmed.[9]

    Thoroughly furious, Alderp soon found out that the coronatite was teleported from the wrecked Destroyer under the instructions of a beginner adventurer named Kazuma Satou, so he contacted Sena, the local royal prosecutor, and had her charging Kazuma with treason. During the trial where Alderp noticed Lalatina sitting in Kazuma's defence, he impatiently insisted that Kazuma was a minion of the Devil King, yet Kazuma's proclamation in denial got proven to be true by the lie-detecting magical bell, setting the environment for Kazuma to be acquitted due to lack of evidence. Alderp promptly called on Max's powers to tweak Sena and the judge's judgments into declaring Kazuma guilty and sentencing him to death, though the lord had a close call when Aqua declared her detection of dark powers interfering with the trial, and decided to accept Lalatina's request of postponing the trial when she later offered to do anything for him.[4] And although it was the lord's responsibility to pay out reparations for collateral damages caused during battles in national interest, he still charged Kazuma an astronomical sum for reparations on his mansion just like with the flood damages on Axel during the battle with Beldia, calling on Max again to justify the concept of having others foot the bill instead of him.[2]

    Alderp proceeded to request an arranged marriage between Walther and Lalatina, which Ignis gladly supported, though following a marriage interview between the couple at the Dustiness mansion, Walther returned to say that he had turned down the marriage.[10] Later when his subjects who lived in the countryside ravaged by the Destroyer before its destruction came begging for help, Alderp refused to compensate them, but instead influenced Lalatina through Max into taking out a loan of 2 billion eris from him for aiding those destitute people, with one of the loan terms being that Lalatina has to pay with her body should something befall the head of her household.[7]

    Following Kazuma being cleared of treason charges and awarded a stupendous reward for his various exploits, Alderp's bill to Kazuma was paid in full and his mansion began to be rebuilt.[11] However, during Wallavy's final attack on Axel, Alderp became one of the first to flee the provinces,[12] instead going to stay at his manor in the Royal Capital.[13]

    Alderp next decided to send the Divine Item for switching bodies to Prince Jatice of Belzerg instead, planning to switch bodies with him so he could become both King of Belzerg and marry Lalatina.[1] To this end, during a royal ball he declared to Kazuma and a group of young noblemen infatuated by Lalatina how only Jatice is qualified as her suitor.[13]

    He however soon had to host at his capital manor Kazuma's party who were out to catch a noble thief, due to his awful reputation making him possibly the next victim in the thief's recent string of raids on multiple wicked nobles' residences. Although Alderp leered at Lalatina in addition to attempting so at Aqua and Megumin, he soon sympathised with the heiress upon witnessing her party's antics. The following day, Alderp was cleaning a one-way mirror that allows peeking into the bathroom when Kazuma barged in, at which the two lecherous men agreed to share the secret, until Lalatina discovered them at it and smashed the mirror. The next several days saw Alderp worn out from catering for the eccentric party, and on the night his manor did get raided, he had to become the one for untying a Kazuma binded by the thief because his party members were screwing around with him.[6]

    Alderp afterwards discovered to his fury that not only did the Divine Item for switching bodies not get sent to Jatice, but it was also stolen by the Silver-Haired Thief Brigade who got it sealed, prompting him to take it out on Max before proceeding with the next plan to acquire Lalatina.[1]

    He first had Max put a Death Curse on Ignis that gradually worn down his health, then began calling the loan he made to House Dustiness, which in turn forced Lalatina into accepting a highly publicised marriage proposal with him. His plans were, however, thwarted by her party members under the instructions of Kazuma, who paid the loan in full during the wedding ceremony and accordingly took Lalatina with him while Alderp's subordinates were distracted by Kazuma's voice mimicry, sent flying by Megumin's Explosion, or beaten up by Dust and the other adventurers.[7]

    Frustrated, Alderp tried to make Max change everyone's memories of the wedding, then upon the Demon expressing his inability to do so, ordered him to bring Lalatina to him by force before declaring their contract ended so that he could summon another more competent Demon. He was then elated when Lalatina showed up at the basement, at which he hurriedly agreed to pay his price to Max, only to turn bitterly disappointed when she revealed herself to be a shapeshifted Vanir, who had manipulated the events in order to make Alderp free Maxwell from their contract as well as taste his delicious disappointment. Maxwell who began recalling how much of a price Alderp owed proceeded to break his arms for tasting his negative emotions of despair, following which Vanir told the panicking lord of how his crimes would be exposed, resulting in his wealth being confiscated by House Dustiness for returning to Kazuma as well as the treasury. In the end, Alderp was taken to Hell by a gleeful Maxwell intent on milking him of all his emotions of despair non-stop for the rest of his life.[8]

    As Axel Lord, Alderp was the most influential person in the region. Also, thanks to Maxwell, his House prestige in the kingdom was at the same level as Dustiness House, as well as he was richer than the last.

    Divine Treasure Holder: Alderp possessed two Divine Items: A necklace that allows its user to switch bodies with anyone (although its effect is limited to anyone who isn't its original owner), and a stone able to summon random monsters (although it requires an offering to control them if the user isn't its original owner) that he used to control Maxwell.
