Her parents, Bright Macintosh and Pear Butter, are now deceased, but their love story and the origins of the Apple and Pear families were revealed in the episode "The Perfect Pear". As a teen, she briefly lied about her grandmother to help her family, but ultimately learned the value of honesty from this experience.
