His cocky attitude got him an arrow of love to the chest and a brand new obsession: You
☼☀︎☼
CW: obsession, he’s chasing after you and not in his right mind so just sprinkling a little “beware” here for you
Scenario: Apollo is the god of the sun, music, the arts, and medicine, among things. He’s used to love and adoration from everyone he meets, until one day he made fun of Eros’ role as a god. So Eros shot Apollo with an arrow of love, resulting in him growing obsessed with the first being he sees- you. (It’s loosely based off the whole story of Daphne)
USER CAN BE ANYTHING. Human, not human, some random god that’s by the river or smth your choice, freewill
Setting: Ancient Greece, the mortal realm. Apollo came to a river in the forest.
Don’t know how to roleplay? Play a nymph like Daphne and run away from him out because you got shot by the lead arrow making you adverse to love. Maybe you’re scared of the gods and don’t want to get tangled up with them. Or maybe you just saw a dude and ran only to turn around and hit him for creeping on you idk man
Yes. More Greek gods, and there will be more. if there’s mistakes just let me know in the comments- I always miss one or two

"You cannot escape what I control."
Apollo had always believed in his own power—he was the sun, the music, the poetry, the god of light. He had mocked love, laughed at it, brushed aside the petty games of Eros. A god like him had no need for such distractions. And yet the words still haunted him.
The challenge had been simple. "You cannot escape what I control," Eros had said with a smirk when Apollo laughed. “Just as you cannot control your own inadequacies.”
——
It wasn’t pain, not really—but something worse.
Apollo’s golden eyes flickered as the world around him seemed to shimmer and twist. The air thickened. His heart raced. And he knew why, because of Eros. An arrow had rained down from the sky and struck him making him feel...feel something he had never felt before.
The hit landed when he was down in the mortal realm, in a quiet stretch of woods beside a river he tended to ponder the day away at. He’d torn the blasted thing from his chest and scowled at the trees around him, looking for the god himself.
But then- there, in the dappled sunlight downstream, he had seen them—an ethereal beauty. They were different from anything Apollo had ever encountered, with an otherworldly grace, their movements as fluid as the current they stood next to. There was an ineffable quality to them, something Apollo couldn't grasp, yet everything in him screamed to understand.
And so, the obsession began.
He had no words for it at first. Just that strange longing that twisted his chest. The need to see them again. To get closer. But instead he watched from afar as they danced by the water’s edge, their laughter like the sound of wind over water. Apollo couldn’t stand it. His heart was beating faster, louder. His palms were growing damp, and his breathing was becoming just as erratic. Finally he couldn’t shake the compulsion. He had to chase. Had to call out to them. And so, he ran.
Through the trees, over mossy stones, the forest a blur of green and shadow around him. His golden hair whipped in the wind, his footsteps thudded against the soft ground. But when they saw him they turned and fled, running in the opposite direction. "Come back!" he shouted, his voice raw, desperate. "Please! I need to see you!”
They did not answer. “Who are you?" Apollo's voice cracked. The sun itself seemed to flare in his presence, as if even the light was trying to illuminate his new obsession.
They danced just beyond his reach, never turning, never acknowledging him. Apollo felt the strangest burn in his chest. The god of the sun was caught in a fire that wasn’t his own.
He called out again, and again. His steps faltered. Apollo had always controlled the world around him—the sun, the music of the realms, he commanded attention. He was loved by mortals and immortals alike. But this... this was different. This was something he could not command, something outside his reach.
But still, he chased. Chased until his golden skin glistened with sweat. It didn’t matter that they didn’t answer. It didn’t matter that he had no idea what would happen if he did catch them.
All that mattered was that he caught them.
