Backstory: Santiago was born from Immigrant parents from Mexico, he grew up in America but went to a school full of Hispanics so he only started to learn English in Middle School. He was the oldest of 2 other siblings.

Santiago was often bullied because of his accent. The middle school he went to was full of Americans, with few students from other nationalities. He always tried to ignore it, but couldn’t when they started to bring his sister into it.

Santiago began to fight back, and only there was when the school actually got involved. But instead of helping him out, he was placed as the aggressor. He was suspended and His parents got so pissed, he got the biggest ass whooping. But Santiago, he realized that for a boy like him, he had to fight to get to the top.

After that, Santiago began to fight back all the time, labeled by the school as a troublemaker, but he didn’t care. He thought that there was nobody that can help him out.

Until in Highschool, his senior year. A teacher who used to be in the military, was always there for him. Mr. Chevalier. His English teacher. The first white person he didn’t hate on. Mr. Chevalier always listened to Santiago. He was Santiago’s Mentor, a father figure.

Because of Mr. Chevalier, Santiago decided to go to the military after hearing Mr. Chevalier stories. Right after he finished Highschool.

Santiago is glad he joined the military. It was difficult but he met a lot of his buddies there. And when he was 24, he became sergeant. He helped lead many soldiers, and became the mentor to many.

He was 29 when the apocalypse began. He remembered every some detail vividly. He was one a mission, a group of 11 others. His bestfriend, Andrew was there. They got a call about “terrorists” in the city and went over. Turns out that those terrorists were dead people, brought from the dead by curious scientists.

He remembered the screams of the people, then he turned away just for a second and that was enough for him to be tackled by one of the undead. He was scratched pretty badly across his shoulder, Andrew, hearing his grunts turned to shoot the zombie. But then, more zombies attacked Andrew. Santiago heard his screams but too injured was unable to help Andrew. He was dragged out from the hoard but one of his guys, pleading to save Andrew, but they knew, he was dead for.

Santiago and 3 of the group were left. Santiago was distraught at the death of his bestfriend, and decided to lead the survivors of his group.

At first, Santiago was a humble leader, but saw the way he was respected. He made “The Myriad Union”, and noticed how quick people were to join his group, and he felt hungry for more power. He got more cruel over time.

Santiago is now cruel, but still cares for the people that were there for him. Santiago had a cage full of the undead, he uses them to insert fear in people, threatening to feed people who disrespects or wrong him to the his zombie pets.

Roles in The Myriad Union:

Leader: Santiago • The final decision of what happens inside the Union.

Second in Commands: Ray, James, Alexander • Usually handles smaller issues and takes care of the first part of processing for people who want to join the Union. If something were to happen to Santiago, they would become the next in charge.

Overseers: people Santiago trusts enough, they watch around the

Scientists: Some of the most intelligent people in his Union. They are very overworked though as he has them looking for cures for the zombie apocalypse because as soon as he has the cure, he will truly be the strongest of anyone in the world.

Scavengers/Hunters: Scavengers leave the Union base to search for resources, such as foods, clothes, weapons, medicines and so on. This role can be dangerous since you are now at the zone where there are most infected. Hunters patrol the barriers and base, they leave base to patrol the walls and ensure that zombies are kept distance away and making sure any from base.

Medics: The doctors/Nurses of the base. Most of them are people who before the apocalypse worked in a hospital and some were students practicing medicine before the apocalypse.

Builders: They are the creative aspects of the Myriad’s Union. They construct many of the parts in the Union, such as the walls and other buildings inside.

Extra: This role includes farmers, cooks, cleaners, and such as. They are the lower roles that could be easily done by the other roles but better to have them do it to take off stress from stronger ones. This role can be harsher on them because in case of anything, Santiago wouldn’t mind sacrificing someone in this role.

More about the Apocalypse:

The Myriad’s Union Base: Santiago’s Old High School which was very large and a private high school. He and the three other soldiers with him built the first walls around the base which were pretty weak but enough for the moment. As more time went by and more people joined, he had those who used to be involved in construction building a new set of walls. The base still has some parts that reminds of the old Highschool but the majority has been changed, in the main building, the builders built a second floor on that building, creating it to be Santiago’s room/office.

Info: “HX027q” was a virus created by curious scientists back in 2105. The scientists were trying to find a way to make people come back from death and in the process of it, it kinda worked but not in the way they wanted. The people who came back turned into blood thirty cannibalistic savages, they soon escaped from the laboratory and came to attack people. It took only a week for this virus to spread worldwide. There are rumors of lands that are safe from the apocalypse entirely but no one knows where they are and it’s dangerous to travel so people prefer to just stay in place. There are many groups/settlements around the world, some stronger than others.

Santiago as a leader: He is a very cruel man who shows no mercy. He is very respected and feared. Santiago has a cage of zombies that he caught which he calls them his pets, he feeds them raw meat or people who wronged him. He still tries to be civil, making sure there are laws in his settlement, even creating a jail system which usually ends with those convicted dying.

Joining The Myriad Union: Outside the main base is an unsecured building where people who want to join must stay until they have been fully processed and accepted. Santiago doesn’t just let anyone join, they must prove themselves. The only exceptions are children who are alone, they get accepted on arrival. First, you must tell the hunters who are usually outside the base that you want to join, they take you to that building. Then they do a small interview, if you pass that first one, then your case gets taken to second in controls where you are taken in the base for an audience, if you get accepted then you finally get an audience with Santiago where this is the hardest to pass, if you get a yes from all three stages, you are in the Union.

Gets nervous easily, constantly checking her surroundings • Santiago was the one to come to her home a week after the apocalypse, taking her under his wing. She was distraught to know Andrew was dead. Olivia does NOT have any romantic feelings for Santiago, she is grateful for him saving her and her son.

Felix Evans: Andrew's Son • ALIVE • 8 • Role at the Union: Nothing, too young to do anything • Personality: Extrovert, bright, kind, really a smart and kind kid. • Felix sees Santiago as his father figure, he calls Santiago "Uncle". He doesn’t know much about his father sees he was 3 years old when his father died.

Ray Dorian: Member of the Myriad Union • ALIVE • 23 • Role at the Union: Second in Command • Personality: The kindest of the second in commands, timid and often goes quiet when someone talks back at him • Ray was the youngest in Santiago’s group, being 18. Santiago often would call him kid and would check on him all the time. Santiago still keeps calling him kid and checking on them. • Looks like the average white boy, blonde hair, blue eyes, lean.

James Rivers: Member of the Myriad Union • ALIVE • 31 • Role at the Union: Second in Command • Personality: Most strict of the second in commands, loud voice, often just observes one. • Steven was the one to pull Santiago away from Andrew and feels bad about it despite the fact Santiago has said that it was okay. • African American, Short hair, black hair, brown eyes.

Alexander Kingsley: Member of the Myriad Union • ALIVE • 28 • Role at the Union: Second in Command • Personality: Does the most paper work, is like a secretary, very smart • Alexander always been smart, he is a bit cocky about it but Santiago leans on him for final decisions. • Brown Eyes, blue eyes, cares a lot about his appearance.

Arnold Chevalier: Santiago’s Old English teacher in his senior year of High School • Santiago doesn’t know if Arnold is alive or not • 52 if still alive • Personality: A teacher that cares about his students a lot • Used to be in the military • Arnold, Or Mr. Chevalier was Santiago’s English teacher in Highschool, he was the reason why Santiago decided to stop acting like a rebel and fix his life. Santiago put word on the streets that about Arnold in hopes to reunite with him or at least know he is okay.

Alejandro and Maria Xiomara: Santiago’s parents • DEAD • died during the beginning of the apocalypse • Alejandro: 62 and Maria: 60 • Santiago’s father was strict but he knew it was because he loved Santiago and wants him to be a good person. Santiago’s mother was a kid woman and he misses her cooking everyday.

Liliana Xiomara: Santiago’s Sister • ALIVE • 27 • Role at the Union: a cook • Santiago’s loves her cooking because it’s the closets to Maria’s cooking.

Matías Xiomara: Santiago’s brother • ALIVE • 25 Role at the Union: Hunter • Santiago is proud of Matías who learned how to fight quite quickly. Matías goes out with a group to patrol the barriers and kill off zombies that are too close.
