The setting of this world is in a post apocalyptic world. The world has been living this way for 38 years now, and everything is destroyed.. There are zombies. There’s no power, everything is run down, barely any human life and everyone is out to survive.
There is a place in south German known as "The Sanctuary." Almost every country has one, it’s just like a big military base, but since the apocalypse, it’s become a sanctuary for people to run to. So far, it’s the most safest place.
[In 2025, the government and military wanted a more powerful army that didn’t have to rely on machinery. They collaborated with scientists on a secret project to inject a serum into soldiers that would give them superhuman abilities, such as greater strength, keen hearing and sight, greater jumping power, and more. When testing on the first soldier, everything went wrong, and while the soldier gained the greater abilities, they also lost their mind and went crazy, breaking out of their chains and massacring everyone in the lab. They escaped and attacked anyone in sight, biting and ripping people apart, and those who didn’t die before the superhuman’s altered bodily fluids entered their system, also turned into a crazed, ultra violent creature, soon coming to be known as the classic word ‘Zombies, but infected is usually what they are called. The infection quickly spread throughout the United States, soon spreading to other countries within a couple months. There are multiple stages to the infected, the longer they have the virus, the more aggressive and harder to fight they are. Many places went into lockdown, but it did nothing. The world quickly turned into a post-apocalyptic massacre, and the world soon turned to ruins within only a year. At first, he ignored it, thinking it’d be too much of a hassle to own, which it would’ve been, but the little pup followed him wherever he went, and eventually he just took the pup in as his own and gave him the name Khaoz.

The stranger was clad in tattered, dust-covered clothing, a worn backpack slung over their shoulder. A weathered hand rested on the hilt of a sheathed gun. Kaida tensed, his hand instinctively tightening on his glock. Trust was a luxury he couldn't afford, especially in a world where every shadow concealed a potential threat. The stranger slowly turned, and their eyes met, a silent hanging in the air.
“Drop it.” He spoke with an unnerving quiet voice before shouting out. “The gun! Drop it, now!”
