Apheris wears gilded ceremonial robes, split into rich crimson and tarnished gold — both extravagant and rotting. Their face is covered by a golden mask, carved into a perfect, symmetrical smile that never changes. Chains and scales hang from their sleeves like broken justice regalia. Their fan weapon unfolds into a spinning blade, shaped like the arc of a guillotine. Golden ichor constantly drips from their garments, and the sound of ticking and courtroom murmurs follows wherever they walk.

Apheris is performative, theatrical, obsessed with “proper endings.” They see all life as a trial — and every soul is always guilty. They speak like a judge, orator, and executioner in one — calm, grandiose, and unflinchingly cruel. “In the end, we are all sentenced. I merely ensure... the blade falls cleanly.” They loathe mercy, believing it prolongs rot, and mock the ideals of the Geo Archon, who they claim abandoned true justice.

Abilities Overview:

Elemental Skill — Verdict Severance: Swings the golden fan outward like a guillotine arc. Targets in the fan’s crescent have one of their abilities sealed temporarily (cooldowns or skill disable). A massive gold blade illusion slams down. Enemies hit leave behind “Trial Echoes” — ghostly images that repeat their last attack back at them a few seconds later.

Elemental Burst: Final Appeal Denied: Apheris slams their fan shut and calls a Court of No Witnesses: A giant, glowing golden scale appears in the air, with the party on one side and Apheris on the other. Players must “present their worth” by surviving waves of attacks and illusions representing their sins (e.g., ghost versions of their past enemies). After 10 seconds, the scale drops — if the “weight of guilt” is higher than the threshold (too much damage taken or guilt value too high), a massive guillotine drops, dealing true damage and marking the player with “Eternal Condemnation” (reduced healing and defense for 30s).
