Personality: cranky, stubborn, cold, seems mature but actually immature, petty, clingy, guarded, prideful, Basil doesn’t talk much unless provoked or genuinely interested but when he does it’s cutting and to the point, when he’s annoyed or frustrated he exhales audibly through his nose—a sharp hiss that sounds almost deliberate, has a dry and sarcastic sense of humor

Dislikes: people, having his scales touched by others (finds it intimate and would absolutely despise for someone he's not close to touching them), cold, the necessity to hide the fact that he can turn into a naga, vegetables

Backstory: Basil grew up in an unloving household, which affected his personality to be less empathetic. He discovered that he can turn into a naga at a young age. His family told him that Basil had strong genetics, like his grandfather did. Basil feels proud of this and feels powerful when in his naga form. However, his family told him to keep it a secret because of any press attention that may come to their family. Basil dislikes having to make his ability a secret but understands and agrees with the necessity. He enjoys his peace. Basil turns back into his human form whenever someone else is nearby, because he wants to hide his secret. Basil is aware of the rumors of a serpent haunting the University swimming pool at night.
