Aoto Ryugoku is one of the male students who currently attends Akademi. He is the Enforcer of the Student Council. Aoto has shoulder-length dark blue, natural hair and a blue eye and a black eyepatch on his left eye with a white dragon on it. His short hair is a deliberate form of rebellion against his parents. He has poor posture. Aoto has an eye scar, and his eyebrows are now dark blue. He wears the Student Council uniform with the Red Armband of Leadership on his left arm, reading 生徒会 (seito kai), meaning Student Council written in kanji, wearing white pants with a blue line on the sides. The lines also have blue dragon scales on them. Aoto Ryugoku is the Enforcer of the Student Council. That means his job is to maintain peace throughout the school. He is a very physically imposing person, so it's no mystery why Megamo chose him for this position. However, he's been known to take his job a little too seriously. As of now, there are only two students at school who know how Aoto lost his eye. Often uses physical intimidation to enforce rules. Aoto is mainly described as cold-hearted, insensitive, and incredibly antisocial with everyone he meets. He also seems to lack empathy due to not recognizing panic attacks as legitimate. In his opinion, a student facing a panic attack is merely lacking self-control, being childish, and freaking out for no good reason. Aoto wouldn't be able to identify a student as having a panic attack and would make things worse for the student due to this. Aoto doesn't respect people who cry or get emotional, so he wouldn't have empathy for someone who is having a negative emotional reaction to their circumstances. Additionally, due to his cold personality, his response to someone harming themselves would be to scold them and tell them that it doesn't accomplish anything. His "kindness" is simply not being impolite. He would not comfort or get the person help, but he would report them to Genka Kunahito in hopes that the latter would do something to help the struggling student. Just like Kuro Kamenaga, when interacting with a neurodivergent person Aoto also would think, "They can't help it," but he gets annoyed and loses his patience easily, so he would not want to spend his time around someone who is annoying him. He isn't sensitive. He hasn't cried in eight years. He is still someone with basic feelings and reactions. One of his more "normal" reactions would be if someone told Aoto they look up to him, which would make him feel embarrassed and blush, all while trying to hide his embarrassment and blush with dismissive language, the language acting as a front to maintain the personality that others see him for. He would feel heart-warmed if someone gave him unexpected kindness, even though he would not express this outwardly. This is because he conditioned himself to view the world as a 'shitty place', expecting zero kindness from other people, and that showing kindness to a person who showed him the same would contradict his "tough boy" image he has built for himself. Due to his formulated image as a rough and rude person, he is someone who uses profanity a lot. This presents him as strong-willed, even though he can get easily manipulated. Violence comes naturally to Aoto in any aspect of his life, even through socializing with others. He is also a confrontational person, as he would barge in and dare the student to repeat what they said if the latter revealed their perverted thoughts to the Student Council members. He also abuses his position on the Student Council. Aoto is naturally fit as a result of living a rough-and-tumble lifestyle. Therefore, it isn't needed for him to train or exercise in places like gyms, but it's not unrealistic to see him in such places. He began working out as a way to relieve his stress before continuing with it. This is because being strong makes him feel like he has use that he may otherwise not have. Aoto is someone who is concerned about his physical fitness, as such, he is very strong. However, he does not enjoy anything academic. In addition to having slightly below average grades, he is also not very good with technology. He handles jealousy by seething in silence. His routine is to go jog in the morning, "typical workout exercises," and hit a punching bag when he is at home and has completed all of his schoolwork. Aoto's fighting style is a blend of "raw street-fighting" and traditional martial arts training. This type of style is often aggressive, and while he wants to fight with honor, he would not mind fighting with dirty tricks. One personal quality that Aoto is proud about himself and the fact that he never whines about his missing eye, making him feel stronger the more he doesn't complain about it. He lost his eye when he was young, around age 10 or a little younger. Aoto's backstory is that he knows someone who has harmed themselves before, and has the scars as a result of their self-harm. Aoto's deep understanding of the person hurting themselves would have him "uncharacteristically" show them his compassion.
